Earth Wind and Fire That's The Way of the World Reaction
1.Ya I know this one. I've def heard it before as a kid.
    2. Like the flugel horn
    3. I never knew the words from the chorus
    4. Like that bridge
    5. The fade away at the end sounds great and really matches

The late & great Maurice White (R.I.P.), the leader & founder of Earth Wind & Fire, he pegged this song as the band's "National Anthem."

Awesome tune....takes me back to 70s...my brother had thus album..just bought it again. Awesome vocals and musicians. Great iconic band, from the golden age of music...rock, soul, R&B, funk. Love the guitar and Fender Rhodes on this song..and the vocals of course.

This is my favourite EWF song and there's a band from my country whose arrangements and creative influences is reminiscent of EWF. NZ music is all about that laid back chill factor ranging from R&B, Soul, Funk - Jazz, Blues, Gospel - Rock - Reggae, Island rhythms. Checkout -
Stan Walker - Come Back Home, Choose ft Hamo Dell etc
Stan Walker (Live with the Levites) - New Light, Inside Out, Don't Dream It's Over
Teeks - First Time, Never Be Apart, If Only etc
Aaradhna - Forever Love, Brown Girl, It Ain't Enough ft Sons Of Zion
House Of Shem -Thinking About You
      Tomorrow People - Irie Music
Sons Of Zion - Love On The Run
Six60 - Lost ft Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (Vimeo 360P), Forever, Vibes, Don't Forget Your Roots, Rest Of You, Up there (Lyric video), Only to Be, Bitter End, Closer (Lyric Video) etc
L.A.B (Studio versions where available) - In The Air, For The Love Of Jane, Personify, My Brother, Yes I Do, Natural, Baby Will You Let Me, Fashion Dread, IJDK, Ain't No Use (Live at One Love 2021), Proud Man (Massey Studio) etc

It was actually the soundtrack of a movie of the same name in 1972, with Harvey Keitel. The movie was “Meh”, but the album and the song was great.

Fun note: Maurice White co-wrote the song Only In Chicago with Barry Manilow. Its on the album "Barry". The song has the sound of the old movie musicals. Really cool song, great instrumentals.

Bee Gees Warm Ride next please! It is a song that was recorded during the Saturday Night Fever sessions, but wasn't released until a reissue of their 1979 compilation album "Bee Gees Greatest"

  • @dp3396

Legendary. The song was well loved and received plenty of air time, but the US music industry was afire with sooooo much great music - a super creative time - so there would have been a ton of competition for the top spots any given week. In my opinion, many #10 or #20 songs from that period would rival #1’s in other decades. Enjoyed the reaction, as always:)

Sad lyrics if you listen. Child is born with a heart of gold, way of the world turns his heart so cold.
I think Maurice White created the Yow you hear in some of their songs and other bands after.
I love this group though. One of my favorites of all time

The lyrics of songs often have so much meaning. It’s just I often overlook it when there is just so many things to hear.
