Hi, thanks for your question. I’ve created a video showcasing the top 5 courses and the best universities to study them in the UK. Take a look at the link below. th-cam.com/video/9LB_yRsju6g/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I don’t see any issues. However, there might be delays in OSPAP intake for 2024 and 2025. The course is oversubscribed, so it's advisable to check with the universities before applying, as mentioned on their website.
Choosing the right course after PharmD will be based on the interests developed during the course. There are numerous courses one can do after Pharm D, but since you are in your 1st year of the course - I would suggest exploring your area of interest within the pharmacy and we can revisit the conversation in a year's time. I will be happy to share my findings with you.
Hi .. iam currently in my 5th year of pharmd and wanting to get a course in abroad but i want to return back to india after i finish a course in uk . Which course would be best to complete there and return back to India?
Haii Rakhi, Hope your doing well... Im planning to apply for Medical affairs in KCL.. I wanted to know the job oppurtunity after medical affairs.. It would be really helpfull
Hi Priyadarshini, Thank you watching my video. You can find jobs within the pharma and pharma consulting in the departments like medical affairs, regulatory affairs and medical operations. It is a bit competitive to find your first job here, but since there are numerous pharma companies based in the UK you will be able to find yourself in a good position after the course. I hope this answers your question. If you need more clarity let's connect via LinkedIn. 😀
Thank you for the information. I would really like to get more details.. I have got admit in KCL for medical affairs. Could you please help me further. I would appreciate if you can share you LinkedIn profile
Hi Sruthi, I would suggest finding out more information about it from someone who works in this area through LinkedIn and check if it suits your interest. All the best 😊
Hi Roshan, Thank you for your question. From my limited understanding very few countries like the US, Greece, The Netherlands (not sure if they still have) have PharmD courses. Assuming it will take a few years to complete the course, you also need to plan for the finances ahead before making the move. Indian colleges like Amrita(Kochi) and JSS(Ooty/Mysore) also offers PharmD course which are well accepted in foreign countries both for higher studies and job opportunities. Having said that if you have the right resources and guidance going abroad is also an option you can consider as it might give you the competitive edge. Hope it answers you question.
Hi, Thank you for your question. You can complete the OSPAP course (9 or 12months), clear the GPHC examination and become a registered pharmacist in the UK- the whole process might take around 2 years. The starting salary according to second hand information is around 35K GBP but if you find postings in the remote parts of the UK you might even get 50K above in your first role itself. And as registered pharmacist is listed in the shortage list, chances of getting the sponsorship/Tier 2 visa is also very high.
Hi, Thank you for your question. The second option to do another master's in your area of interest and then find employment in the industry. Hope it helps.
Hi Rahul, PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a professional degree program that prepares individuals to become pharmacists. It is a six-year course that provides students with comprehensive knowledge and training in various aspects of pharmacy practice, including both laboratory-based and clinical-based exposure.
The salary of a person starting in the junior positions in the UK in the pharma industry/research will start from 25K and go up to 40K. This will depend on your skills and experience. Hope it helps.
