This song showcases one of the clearest, most beautiful soprano voices I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I think there are signs along the way that Anita just loved music, loved her family and loved to sing, and really didn't care a whole lot about a career. I'm fairly sure that if she had wanted that and pushed for it, the doors would OPENED big time.
@@carterfamilychannel I often wonder if she didn't have the drive that Johnny and June had. Both had their own talents....but neither one had her world class voice.
Oh I Would Love To Have Been A Fly On The Wall. Even better I would have adored to have been a friend of the family and play Bingo with Mother MaybelleJulie Tissue! They were such a close family. And after June married Johnny, Cash had them in his act all the time. Later on in in the 80s, Anita ran THE HOUSE OF CASH. That was a store close to his home where the public could buy Johnny Cash and Carter Family Memorabilia. Johnny and June's love was a site to see and it glowed when they would duet together on stage. How The Times Have Changed. You Hardly Hear REAL COUNTRY ON THE RADIO unless it's a CLASSIC COUNTRY STATION. Thank you for brightening my day Miss Julie Tissue and my memory
So gorgeous and spiritual ..I so enjoy all of this..i dont know who wrote the song Anita is singing, however it may be one of the prettiest somg i have ever heard ..there arent that many that can measure up! This world may loose its motion love andni dontnknow the rest!
I imagine it would be very difficult to escape the gravitational pull generated by Johnny and June...they were that big, that popular, that well-known not just in the country music world but all of the music world. They were international superstars. But you know THEY knew Anita's talent and ability...
My favorite Anita song was " A Tear Fell " . Any duet she did with Hank Snow was great country. Hank had a deep baritone voice which blended perfectly with Anita 's high soprano .
Love "A Tear Fell." Anita made a couple duet records with the legendary Hank Snow. He had that great voice up into his 80s. One of our best country singers to come out of Canada
Out of all three girls Oldest Helen, middle child June, and baby Anita. Anita had the most beautiful ammoth vlice of all 3 sisters. But June shined with her semi- good singing and her legendary since of humor. But Anita had the voice. Too bad she wa never really recognized
Yes they all had there own individual talent as did their mother, it breaks my heart how unrecognised this family was when they where alive, especially Sara Carter, thanks to TH-cam what they did can be recognized and appreciated by generations to come :)
@@carterfamilychannel yes Sara, Sara, Mother Maybelle, and Uncle AP- THE CARTER FAMILY were pioneers of country music along with Jimmy Rodgers. APs wife never got her recognition neither. When ahe left the group, Mother Maybelle brought in her girls, and as you referred all had their own distinct talents. Helen could play nearly every instrument, June had that famous whit and lovely sense of humor, and Anita was The Voice. Thank you for keeping their music for all the generations that never knew about the wonderful CARTER FAMILY and THE CARTER SISTERS.
Such a cool version if you love how Anita sings. She is just the best! Sara's of course is the best, as the original, Maybelle, too. These sessions in the 1980's are wonderful. Can we buy them anywhere?

Anita's voice was over the top. There are a lot of great female singers, but no one ever had a better voice.
The most beautiful & most underrated voice in country music. Bless her.
She wasn't underrated. Just underexposed.
Is she still singing today?Since both her sisters are gone@@libertyann439
Anita would be a superstar in today’s country music environment. Female singers weren’t promoted as much in her heyday.
Incredible singing by Anita and her family. Anita's voice was just so perfect.
She should’ve gotten more recognition than she did, her voice was and still is truly amazing!!
Very true it was always a mystery why she wasn’t but you could say the same about Sara Carter she had even less recognition than Anita

@@baritonebynight I think she just didn't want to break away from the family.
@@carterfamilychannel Sara's heart was never really in it though, was it?
Always stayed in the background to the Carter family and Johnny Cash. This lady could sing any song and do so with grace and humility.
Her voice is so beautiful
Very powerful. The world is a better place because of music like this.
Voice of an angel
anita had the best female voice for many years, addictive, leaving you wanting more.
💯%!!
Really the roots of American Country Music...🙏☘️
❤ I love her voice I love her singing with Waylon
We named our daughter Anita after Anita Carter - she was my husband's most favourite female singer.
mine too since 1949
She would be honored to know this.
That is awesome. 🙂
Just incredible!!! I can't imagine what it must be like to have all that music inside of you! I bet their family get-togethers were out of this world!

Anita WOW
I have to wonder? How many thousands of men who would have died to marry her? I’m just one
Love her voice and she had most pretty smile
Que preciosidad de mujer, de voz y de canción. Anita Carter es la mejor voz de las cuatro hermanas. Temazo
Wow. Love all the Carter's.
She.died before her time. Guess .GOD LOVED HER TO

I have often wondered what if she and Hank Williams had gotten married and what great music they could have made together for all the world to hear

Very different version from the original song by the Original Carter family
Yes I have heard every member of the Carter family sing this song and I have to say Sara’a will always be my favourite.

A good choice for your daughters name
You can see the effects of her rheumatoid arthritis setting in.
すごい じょうかん こもる うたごえ。
June Carter owns this. Pace and intonation not right on this.
