I would also make a black one too because in game the text is black and the the aura is white or orange. It would just be good if you wanted to cosplay as a character in dark souls or for craps and gaggles.
@@wowsuchwrong2674 Well, I would first have to make them separate, make a small black soapstone, once it hardens then stick it inside the mold for the larger soapstone, and pour the colored stuff around it. I would have to figured out a way to keep it centered though, so not sure if it would work.
So I'd like to hear what I can improve on in my videos. Any tips would be appreciated. I'm currently looking for a mic or better voice recording device as well as a place to do the commentary as the background noise does screw up my audio a bit. I'm also trying to figure out how to customize my own video thumbnails. I think that's what there called? But anything else I should look into?
The video thumbnails was something I mentioned in one video. I almost didn't click on your video when I first found your stuff just because it was unclear to me that they were how-to tutorials and seemed like in game tips or how to find them in the game or something. Kind of hard to explain which I'm sure isn't very helpful hah But yeah I think I said it then and maybe recommended having a picture of the in game object and then your final product. Or even having "prop build" or a "how to make..." titles? I'm not sure if this is helpful but I am a really big fan and think you do awesome stuff. I'd never think to make these items or where to even begin. You do a really good job and I hope you stick around and get the following you deserve my dude
So I never actually measured the in game model because its really hard to get a picture of, but it looked like it could be grasped in one hand to write on the ground. Specific measurements it 14cm from top to bottom. all four long edges were about 10cm and the pointed tip made up the rest of about 4cm. Hope that helps.
seanylewl Without paint mixed in the Soapstones won't be able to write like chalk. But if you don't plan on using them and rather just want them as a display piece, than yeah you can just use water. Thanks for asking.
@@wowsuchwrong2674 Sorry to hear that, it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. I found this other video on making chalk if it helps. th-cam.com/video/FZhaDM8N2q0/w-d-xo.html Good luck!
Thank you pal, I'll use this tutoprial for creating a soapstone for my Solaire's cosplay :D
I’m really fascinated in your work. Keep goin’ man!

I never noticed that, maybe I could put a black core in the soapstones so it has the black writing with colored outside.
That idea is very good, but how are you going to get it inside without mixing the to colors.

Yep thanks, I've been playing around with creating a new thumbnails but You Tube won't let me use them for some reason. Not sure why???
Have you got any sort of rough measurements for the template? I mean, the shape is easy to copy, but getting the same scale as yours, not so much

If you have trouble getting the right paint to plaster ratio, could you just use water instead, since they are going to be painted anyway?

Oh yeah... I guess I didn't even consider ruining these beauties by actually writing with them :D Great video and craftsmanship!
