the animation is rough but still incredibly well done. very sad that metallix died in the end(maybe) but still good ending considering the fact what would have happened if MX and Lord X won that fight

Regarding Metal Sonic, I'd say its less that he feels emotional about someone else and more that Metal Sonic IS his past self and as such defending him was kinda like protecting himself
