Out of all the carrier documentaries I've seen, this one stands out as the best. The cinematography is simply outstanding, and the story is incredibly compelling.
That thumbnail speaks volumes as to the legitimacy of this video. A super carrier with the island in the middle of the flight deck. Priceless.
Amazing video, well done to all involved. I did 4 RIMPAC when I was in the Australian Navy. My 1st was in 77 on HMAS Melbourne CV 21, the other 3 on Destroyers DE's. This video brought back many memories and it also shocked me at how far technology has advanced.
To all.... Fair winds and safe seas. ❤⚓
17:20 OMG, I had to stop just to say that i'am totally in love with this channel now bc it's one of the best looking, sounding, educational video's i've seen in a long time. Thank you for sharing these beautyful great videos.
Blessings to you and your family always from Puerto Rico with lot's of love 🙏👍❤️
Amazing video... brought me back to 1991 when I had the privilege to spend 4 days on the USS Forrestal in the Mediterranean is a civilian aviation photographer. An experience I will never forget and neither the amount of admiration I gained for these men and later women spending months at sea defending our freedoms. I will always admire them and the people who designed and built these marvels of engineering...
Don't know what you're talking about, the Forrestal never had women stationed on the ship during a deployment. We had women from reserve squadrons on board during training ops (not deployments) but the last time that happened some idiot was trying to drill a hole through a bulkhead to watch them shower and they were promptly flown off the ship. I'm pretty sure they were trying to get a look at a pretty blonde that everyone noticed.
I once visited the USS Hancock museum ship in Alameda. Otherwise USS Haleakala AE-25 USS Pyro AE-24 USS Kansas City AOR-3 USS Samuel Gompers AD-37 USS Harold E Holt FF-1074
Awesome film! Thanks!
amazing cinematography🤩
So many videos about nowdays to find ones like these are Gold
'Daddy, now that you're home, here's your to do list.' I really got a kick out of that one!!!
You need to soot thinking n you daddy, you are over 18 for survive yourself.
When that battleship rolls over and sinks, I couldn't help but think of the thousands of crew that died right then. It's terrifying,
Now imagine the impact a sinking of the US carrier would have? China thinks that by doing that they will run fear to our bones and make us heel and abandon our Pacific allies.. Chinese obviously haven't heard of the attack on Pearl Harbor. We get mad and invent world ending weapons when faced with massive casualties.. We don't run in fear.. Although looking at the current generation combined with the maniacs from MAGA that support Putin more than our President, who knows. Maybe we would run, or kiss Xi's feet (not us but the Orange Buffoon of course).
@@markbrisec3972 Sinking a US Aircraft Carrier? Will be instant death for a Nation that tried and was successful. The🔥Fire Storm🔥 that would rain down on them. God save us all. Hope no one is that foolish? 😮
Some of the best times I had in the RCN were on RIMPAC 88
Well done 💯
An amazing film.
Beautiful production 👏🏽
While I know much of this information, the production value alone had me locked it. Great video! Thanks!!!
Totally agree with you It's one of the best.
Loved it everything about it was very beautyfuly Made.. Thank you!!! 👍
A great narration at the start to honour a great carrier.
Some of these guys are right, I’d Locke to see more below deck stuff! The reactor making fresh water and just all the other things that are done and maintained to keep the ship moving!!!
Its awesome❤

Amen.
You'd think the production team wouod have corrected the narrators pronunciation of Juttland.
I clicked on this to make a snarky remark about the thumbnail showing a carrier with the island right in the middle of the flight deck, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the video.
What a well made video, some of those historical sinkings were hard to watch, those exploded view graphics were top shelf though, well done.
Salute 🇵🇭✌🏼🙏🇺🇸
Awesome video thanks for sharing!

FYI this film is years old. This channel somehow got their hands on it and posted it.
China was only invited for two RIMPACs, 2014 and 2016, Not one of Obama's better strategic decisions. Never again Im sure. so this could be 2014 or 2016.
You show me a WW1 biplane that has anything that even looks remotely close to a M61A2 rotary cannon!!! It's amazing how they get people to do these documentaries that don't have the slightest idea what they're even talking about!!!
10-11 minute mark there were just playing recordings of ham radio operators. LOL
Oh no
I'm so sick and tired of these videos that only show the aviation side of an Aircraft Carrier. I was on the USS Forrestal for 3 cruises (the last 3 cruises) and ships crew was about 3200 and the airwing was only about 2000. If it wasn't for the ship's crew the airwing couldn't do their job yet none of these video show anything about what the black shoes do to support the airwing like make water, make electricity, take care of sewage, provide medical and dental care, resupply food, provide the cctv system for entertainment, etc, etc, etc. I earned my Surface Warfare qualification on the carrier and people would be blown away at just the engineering part of operating an aircraft carrier let alone everything else I needed to learn about.
I was station on the USS Forrestal for 2 med cruises back in mid 80’s….
Only spent 2 months on a Carrier and can completely understand where you are coming from. Air wing get all the attention🙄
I sawr some black shoes meng
Thank you for your service.
Admiral Lisa Francetti has risen to the rank of the CNO. Great to see the first woman leading the US Navy...
when it is deployed how many years out of ten not deployed or in yard being refitted upgraded and maintained? and when it is one spot how many days steaming at full flank speed to get to another incident?
What a great documentary but i've missed some of it bc i was falling asleep, i even droped my cell on my chest a few times before i got the mesage that it's just about that time to take it down & rest my neck...🤦😂😂😂🙏👍
Popyeye was a Coast Guardsman.
Serving on U.S CV, is a dream that may never come true...
In the age of missiles this another Yamato. A day late and a dollar short...
Too many tears shed for those who did not come home.
about same time i used to pass out in school
With this technology and capabilities, why is it hard for them to contain the Houthis?
Great Video 👍. There was very little animation in it. Nothing like NASA would always do. 🇺🇸
Slamat pagi saudara jaga kesehatan daudara dunia aman slamat pagi 🌟❤🌟
You cannot explain to someone who has never served what the military is like. They simply do not and cannot understand what its like to trust your life and have others trust their life to you if you haven't been there.
One thing I like about U.S. armed forces is , they put serious thought into feeding you Really well ! That's a good starter to keeping morale up . 😂 I spoke to a guy who had been an Army private or corporal in Vietnam circa '68 - '70 . As part of a platoon going out on 'recon - by - fire , largely ... He told me a chopper would do their best, while they were humping in the bush , to , along with bringing ammo , food , clean water, medical supplies, and airlifting wounded back ... They would usually bring a can of ice - cold beer in a big ice chest , for Everyone . All kinds of smear jobs were aimed at Westmoreland while I was still a juvenile , but he was certainly concerned with the well being & morale of the Soldiers & Marines under his command . Can you even imagine ? What other nation has ever gone as far as to give COLD beer , most days, to sweating guys in some crap hole, a message that we care about you , like that ? If Americans vote for politicians that ask or force men to risk their lives , everybody back in Happyland should make a little sacrifice .
The Rn Corvettes in WW2 were based on Whalers, not Fishing boats.
13:50 - would love to see that Vulcan 6 barrel machine gun on a WWI bi-plane. FFS, the aircraft couldn't take-off
+ wow
like a auction, lot 223 if your inside pack up
America leads again the world we are the countries guide to greatness :) around the world 🌎 here to be the seas Overseer:) and worlds peace leader
wow I dig!!!
Great video, just one minor issue, the Battle of Jutland is pronounced wrong. It’s not pronounced Jootland, it’s Jutland as in Butt.
The Battleship capsizing was the result of a torpedo boat attack, NOT Jutland ! and the multi-barrel Rotary Cannon was NEVER on a WWI biplane - stupid script !
USA Navy is the best midway
20:40 "they thought they're invincible, like the Nazies themselves" followed by the wreck of Bismarck lol, skill issue
u wanna know what else we play in the trailer parks thats fun. address battleship. we randomingly hide in trailers and if that address is chosen and your inside, u have to pack up and get ready, once its completely sunk then that group leaves
so 223 in every trailer park gets notified
Is this a Nimitz class?

Future CNO at 9:10
Why?, I am not against female personnel rising to the top of their career, but based on such a short statement I can’t make that judgment at all, although she is either a very competent officer!!!!, or, and It is more plausible, she has got to the top based on her gender and the inclusivity mantra that is rampant almost everywhere in the world, but if she is the right person to become CNO then I salute her for her dedication to the United States 🇺🇸 Navy.
@@allandavis8201what an incredibly ignorant and misogynistic comment. The audacity to even question “why” and then to follow up with “I am not against female personnel rising….” For the sake of humanity please do not reproduce
@@allandavis8201 Agreed. Using gender as an excuse for her to get to the top.
STUPID HAPPY MEAL!!!!!!
@@allandavis8201This is an old video. Lisa Franchetti became the CNO of the USN in November of 2023.
A Men!
Beautiful: dresses, perfect smiles & makeup, gorgeous figures, wonderful colors, exquisite lingerie.
They are so absolutely perfect that It makes me wonder if some of this is the result of computer simulation. Thanks for sharing so much beauty.
Guten Abend,A. H führte nicht den Krieg mit der Kriegsmarine, sondern die Generäle und Offiziere der Wehrmacht ( Luftwaffe,Heer, Marine)
New Zealand was involved in this exercise with one of our little frigates. We were providing "Operational support". Made me laugh. How can our little frigate provide "Operational Support" to something that could wipe out a country on it's own???
That women is the most qualified person to be in charge? WTF? 🙈💁🏼🤷🏿♂️
Absolutely ridiculous. Typical of woke Navy.
Awesome !! ... shame the Royal Navy can't stop cheap rubber dinghies crossing crossing the English Channel though
Mmmm, ... ham ...
That Aircraftcarrier is large enough to make hours of footage, ...but you drift away with " Historic Lectures " al the time, an that is why this video is just off topic, and annoying :(

wheres Russia?
Named after an actor I believe
A good actor, but a GREAT President!!
its way pass nap time
Love the inclusion
Top speed is highly classified, what a joke, how fast can it go really.
soon will no more
🇺🇲
Thumbnail is fake = just look!!
7:17 highly classified? i would guess 52kts
Not nearly that fast. I would guess 40 knots top speed for a carrier.
what impresses me the most , the crew is African Americans ,Chinese Americans ,Spanish Americans , Wow God bless America
Before Trump left office, he ensured that Chinese Americans who served in WW2 would receive the Congressional Gold Medal for their service. At the time, the Chinese Exclusion Act prevented people from immigrating to the US. Americans of Chinese ancestry were deeply discriminated against, yet signed up in droves to defend America. Hats off to you and your descendants.
That's what impresses you the most?
what do you mean , @@Jimmy-bm3xy
No chinese crew on board hehehe..

Ship Too Shore TV Show ADF At Rest Ok!!!
Interesting China is there, this documentary must be pretty old.
I was thinking the same thing.
It was a Taiwanese ship.
@@h.barkas1571uh it’s not Taiwanese… unless they have an identical ship to PLAN’s Type 52 destroyer Haikou. 10:41
Saw this years ago, music from 96 the rock. The triremes are being discontinued at 10yrs. Total failures. The Reagan's class just had the first sister retired the Nimiz, launched in the late 70's. She has less than 10 years left as the Ford class replaces them
Exactly what I also thought
In other words we need nuclear
Wonderful. A woman in charge of RIMPAC. I'm sure she was chosen for her leadership qualities and not some DEI nonsense.🙄
🫡
What do the USA have to do there, they should better stay in their country and not threaten anyone
What's your issue?
I'd be scared to go to war with that many women on board
😂
Who invited China?
Obama. This was probably filmed around 2014-16
A documentary for Americans. Or kids.
🤡
NEW WORLD ALLIED NATIONS.... 🙂
❌No New World. Only Allies 🇺🇸⚓️🇺🇸
why even have this stuff
We got to save the country Donald j Trump 2024 God bless you ❤
I like to remember the 1960's Navy as a group of white straight men. No ra ra , no chanting and all the whipy crap I see here
No acknowledgement for the pacific people yet you're in pacific waters typical 😂
Americans are also from Pacific waters
@roysheaks1261 😆 sure and I'm a royal
What type of acknowledgement would you want? It is widely known that the USA values its allies in the western Pacific such as Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Australia, and Taiwan.
The Earth is a globe and does not have corners, hey? hahahahahahaha
So you seriously think that the earth is flat??? Your parents should sue your teachers.
This should be titled "how the aryans became the west".
So much money down the drain
Freedom isn’t free.
@@dpereira227 Pah! Freedom? You really believe US propaganda, huh?
It’s so transparent and disgusting that this documentary clearly goes out of its way to find the 6 women on the ship and give them all the camera time…
Why on earth would you want a 100lb girl on a heavy lift ammunition job?!? Or pulling massive hoses…?
Nuclear-powered naval warships are just fine, except they must restock food at fairly frequent intervals, and, in the case of aircraft carriers, restock jet fuel as well. Plus... I do not see how, in a real-war situation, gargantuan ships like the USS Ronald Reagan can possibly avoid being struck and sunk by submarine-launched torpedoes, or anti-ship missiles, or drones, or attack by stealthy enemy aircraft. Or all these threats at once, no matter how many screening ships surround her. I just do not see how the cost of aircraft carriers is to be supported by strapped taxpayers like myself. This is how the Roman Empire collapsed; from within, because the taxes just grew to the point where the citizens could not pay them. Better take notice, USA; your leaders just never seem to learn from history.
Then leave my country. No country has our carrier technology, damn liberal!
That's why it rolls with a strike group
Worry about your own country; in other words mind your own business.
To a certain degree I agree with you…however comma , supporting our allies is a no brainer but Ukraine is one place I would question support , another would be USAID to half to 3/4’s of the world would be another , throwing money at Iran would be yet another . Are we as a nation ever going pull our heads outta where the sun doesn’t shine ? And the sad reality is that we are letting it happen . We’re the ones who have to put a stop to all of this stupidity that the government ‘is doing on our behalf’ . Otherwise we will wind up as a 3rd/4th world nation like most of the countries . One last thing , we need to force the government to physically secure our borders and stop illegal immigration .
So much wasted resources
