I think the prisoner leaving floor 4 and ending back up on floor 2 was like an accounting error. People who are “released” are likely sent to other prisons but the imperials here messed up and simply sent them to another floor of the same prison.
Syril Karn really is the most relatable character in Star Wars. His mom goes through his stuff(I’m sure we had parents do that at some point), but is also happy as his promotion(my mom had a similar reaction to my recent job promotion), and gets rejected.
With regards to the possibility of the inmates building something for the Imperial military, it's not unheard of for prisoners to be used as labor for military industrial supplies. Both Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in WWII used POWs and other types of prisoners for labor making war materials.
What I like about Syril Karn is you have no idea where he is going to end up. A first I thought he'd be the narrow focused law man after Cassin. Then a side kick to Merra. And now it seems likely he'll devolve into a serial killer at this rate.
Love these reactions! Andy Serkis is such a treat to have back, watching his eyes sink while he’s giving the speech on the bridge really gives the audience a sense of dread. The stakes are incredibly high for this prison break!
18:35 "How are people not constantly finding out about it?" I think the Empire only just started doing this with the new Public Order decree, and the idea is they ship "released" prisoners to another facility, probably full of other "released" prisoners and with higher security. Except the Imperials made a mistake and accidentally transported one guy from 4 back to the same facility.
My best estimation is that the prisoners are building the chassis for Imperial probe droids. It would make sense as probe droids have 6 appendages & those frames have 6 joints. They are also about the right size for probe droid chassis.
I think they are building the middle portion of the famous probe droid that looks like a jelly fish. I think it's the rotating portion that hangs all of the different legs and rotates from the top. Heard that on another review and I believe it.
Hanging Paak is going to throw Ferrix into open revolt. Maarva will snap due to a Clem flashback, attack the Empire and die in the act. Killing her will impact the rest of Ferrix, and they'll probably get wiped out in the fighting. Once Andor finds out about Maarva and Bix he'll be all-in.
Tbh I never got into Andor until the heist episode, and this episode has just got me even more hooked on it. Getting serious Shawshank Redemption vibes from it, especially in this episode when the old guy died and it's so awesome that they got Andy Serkis back in a role that's not a CGI character because he is an amazing actor. Great reaction as always guys! Btw not sure if you guys noticed or not, but when Bix was being tortured, the way it was shot and edited reminded me of Episode IV when Vader was trying to get information out of Leia using the Imperial Interrogation Droid.
@Kyle Katarn, 2:37 That's her father's doing. Leida (sounds a lot like Leia), Mon Mothma's daughter, is always uneasy, IMHO, because of her father. He's using her to spy on her mother--explains why he doesn't care what she does, so long as she does what he wants her to when he asks. Perrin, Mon Mothma's husband, suspects she's up to something, but he doesn't know what. He's been unsuccessful getting anything out of her, so he's employed his own daughter, but because she's uneasy about being used this way, it shows in her character when around her mother. Honestly, I think she's trying to tell her mother without telling her mother, but Mon Mothma seems to be dismissing her daughter's signals as moody teenage years =/ 5:30 the sound the materials make sound a lot like an Imperial Walker. It might be nothing, but I wonder if that was intentional. 15:17 I've never felt so uncomfortable watching to would be lovers talking before. That was unsettling. For those who thought Anakin and Padme's courtship was awkward, may I introduce you to Syrill and Dedra? 18:37 Isn't it because the prison guards sent the released prisoner to an even numbered floor? Had they moved him to an odd numbered floor they likely would have gotten away with it, even if the prisoner spoke about it with others since they might have dismissed him as crazy. The prison has total compliance, most are like Kino, afraid to speak out and just keeping their heads down. The guards Imperial Cattle Prod 3000s and hot floors has them all on edge. Once you've had the hell shocked out of you, you wouldn't want to that again. This was another stellar episode. The team behind Andor keeps raising the bar. I'm worried for the Mandalorian and the Ahsoka series...I don't think they'll be able to match this quality of story telling and cinematograph. I hope I'm wrong, but I guess we'll see.
(as some cable sports packages still do *~* certain hunting channels are included as part of the list) A regular ( filming the pursuit legally ) guy named Les ~ hunted for coyotes. *(* his "rabbit in screaming peril" mechanical tones . . . *that's* what came to mind *)* - what a series this remains to be( enjoy whatever it is that you freely choose to place upon your screen ) cheers.
If prisoners are usually just shifted somewhere else, they are probably sent to one of the other facilities. We saw at least four of them floating in the water.
There are other prison towers to send people to. They probably tell them that a mistake was made in releasing them and then add more time to their sentences. That's prob why some of the newbies to a floor kill themselves...
Shades of Bendu having frozen intermittent picture at in opportune times 😂 you two are some of my favorite Star Wars Vbloggers! Dedra could easily be an inquisitor! Killing off the elder prisoner really pissed me off as well as Andor and Kino. Once his table finds out hell will break loose. Can’t wait for the prison break episode! This was one of my favorite episodes
I think that it isn't so much that once you get released, you get sent to a new floor. I think that what they do is send the prisoner to one of the other prisons out of the seven there in that ocean, so they end up in a different factory doing different tasks. This mistake here was this time, the guy just got sent to a new floor, instead, and on the very next day, so they couldn't pass it off as him being sent to a new prison for a different sentence. Or maybe it's that all these guys have been here for a few years thinking they would get out at the end of their sentence, and this was the first guy to get his release and they are just now finding out there is no such thing as an end to their sentence, they just didn't know it.
The guard shufling the people made a mistake that is why he landed in the same building just a few floors down instead of in one of the other buildings on Narkina, at least that is my asumption
With Andor's prison sentence....I don't think they're "building" anything. I think it's more like old manual labor where they'd have prisoners dig a ditch one day, only to have another prisoner crew come back the next day and fill it back in. I think Andor and his prison mates are "building" these things...only for them to be shipped off to another room to be disassembled. It's busywork, punishment, control.
To the comment that the Empire wouldn't use prisoners to build their military equipment. That is exactly what the Nazis did with the Jews. They would force them to work in factories building their tanks and bombs.
Funnily enough there was a space urinal in Dark Forces. Obviously they didn't have the fidelity to add specific animations, but they put a storm trooper there facing the wall like he's using it.
Now's this episode really is gonna make Rogue One that much more sadder, and as usual, Kyle Katarn and Bendu coming through with their blessed reaction. This entire episode is the darkest I've ever witnessed from start to finish, and the Empire's not giving a fuck on liable human lives smh. I'm so hyped for the prison break episode next week. Andy Serkin's fantastic as usual!
such a great multiple meaning episode; The lack of realization towards the imperial chokehold, the willful ignorance of tyranny in hopes of the small glimmer of privacy, and the Imperial neglect of the ever growing dissent within the Empire
I had a thought about what they are putting together.......what if it's nothing what if the things they put together just get sent to another level just to be taken apart just to be sent back to be put back together again........
This show has some heavy fucking shit going on! Star Wars is only for 12 year olds my ass! And who else is loving the incredible Vangelis-esque(guy that did Blade Runner) score? I think this show is the direction that Star Wars NEEDS to go in. Sophisticated storytelling and the cast to pull it off.
The mistake was that the prisoner got put on the floor of the same prison, they probably are supposed to put them in different facilities shuffle them around.
My Theory about the prison and what they are building is, they are building nothing... it's like a Danaïde Barrel. Some team assemble pieces that other are deconstructing them in an infinite loop. The best way to make prisonners to loose hope and insanity.
A few thoughts: Cyril and Dedra are smashing Banthas before the end of the season. LUTHEN is a SITH and thats HIS armor in his shop (it came to me in a vision). Mon Mothma is an exquisite woman. The ISB Doctor was TERRIFYING in a Hanibal Lecter kinda way. And that prison is a straight up MIND F*CK. This show HAS to bring home a ton of awards its taken star wars to new heights.
Of course the ISB would find a way to weaponize ASMR 🤣 It is too bad for the former deputy inspector Karn that Dedra only has one setting when it comes to invading one's personal space... And I guarantee that whether she swipes left or right, a happy ending is not on the table. 😱
Kind of unnerving how twice now someone has just keeled over and died. First it was the commander at Aldani, and now Ulaf. Both get pushed too far and then just die, or basically die.
I think people are getting that wrong! He said the guards made a mistake, by an inmate up for release being recycled in to another floor. Not that their whole purpose was recycling inmates onto other floors! Doubling, oe extending, existing sentences while they're still in there is one thing. That's relatively easy. The fact they made a mistake is the mistake. Because what's to stop someone who expected to be released from saying something to everyone like the first and every time someone was "resentenced"? They'd have to shock out inmates every time, instead of that being the first time it happened! Know what I mean? They're not erasing people's memories lol or somehow swearing them to secrecy. Dude was scheduled for release and instead of releasing him he was mistakenly sent to another floor. The fact that they made that mistake is the thing they needed to silence, by taking out everyone on that particular floor. Plus, we're going on kind of limited information, really. But, clearly it's not something they've been doing, otherwise it wouldn't have been a "mistake," they'd need to keep quiet. It really wouldn't matter what floor they put people on, if they were sending people back in instead of releasing them. And, if it was something they just did that one case wouldn't have been an outlier, because anyone sent back in after expecting to be released would need silencing. Meaning they'd need to take out 100 people (at least) every time. That just doesn't make sense, think about it!
I don’t think they always shuffled prisoners , since PORD nobody leaves ! Regarding the assembly line , perhaps Death Star Laser components since it was the last part of construction? My god this show is absolutely incredible, edge of seat incredible! There’s so much to talk about ! Syrill obsession with Dedra , where’s that going ? Isn’t sergeant Linus returning as well ? I cannot wait
So I have a theory. You mentioned that you thought Vel and Luthen had a familial connection. I think that still may be possible. What if Luthen and Mon Mothma are brother and sister??!! That’s one way to keep a secret by keeping it in the family. That would still explain why it seemed that Luthen and Vel had a family connection.
Andy is bringing it, he is acting stressed and he will fall! He has seen the light, and he will be on the inmates side cause he knows escape is the only way out!
Cyril grabs her, gets right in her space and all she does is give him a mild threat, and then goes inside, takes off her coat and goes...phew. Very interesting dynamic going on there...
Dedra is so used to being underestimated, and looked down upon, when Syril actually praises her intelligence, there is a moment of vulnerability as she looks down for a couple seconds, and she it clearly knocks her for a loop, but then, her anger at having been caught off guard surfaces(erupts, actually). She is shook when she gets back to her office, but snaps back to business as usual when news of the captured pilot reaches her. I think she and Syril are gonna be one of the scariest power couples in any show, however. Those two are gonna hook up at sometime.
I disagree, Dedra looked shocked and rattled. I'd be fairly disappointed if she returns any romantic interest. Syril's key trait is obsession: with Andor, with "justice". And now, lacking a formative female role model, he's been stalking a random woman that interrogated him a month ago. I was joking last month when people said he'd snap and become a serial killer. Now, I honestly think he fits the profile.
@@sebastianjoseph2828 What if Syril snaps at the end and kills Dedra. Helping the rebels to escape in Ep 11 or 12. This could clearly be the path to a serial killer.
This was intense, I even panicked a bit more while watching this reaction as Bendu’s connection got cut out, and I was like “Yo What the Heck is goin on on LVL2!? Love these reactions! Andy Serkis is such a treat to have back, watching his eyes sink while he’s giving the speech on the bridge really gives the audience a sense of dread. The stakes are incredibly high for this prison break!
18:35 "How are people not constantly finding out about it?"
I think the Empire only just started doing this with the new Public Order decree, and the idea is they ship "released" prisoners to another facility, probably full of other "released" prisoners and with higher security. Except the Imperials made a mistake and accidentally transported one guy from 4 back to the same facility.
6:20 Is it just me or does Dr. Gorst give off a Colonel Hans Landa Vibe?
It'll be fitting if Andor was building parts of the Deathstar in prison..
Then ultimately helps to destroy it
Andy is a legend, awesome reaction boyz, cant wait for next week Lashgo !!
Now imagine many different prisons on many different systems across the galaxy all building different parts...
Nobody's Home? Hehe, typos and all, still love you guys and the reactions. The tension in this episode is so powerful!
@Kyle Katarn,
2:37 That's her father's doing. Honestly, I think she's trying to tell her mother without telling her mother, but Mon Mothma seems to be dismissing her daughter's signals as moody teenage years =/
5:30 the sound the materials make sound a lot like an Imperial Walker.
Dont ask what the parts are, ask what the prison will be after it is finished ( relook the arrival scene to the prison)
"Imperial courtship..." 😆 😆 🤣
(as some cable sports packages still do *~* certain hunting channels are included as part of the list)
A regular ( filming the pursuit legally ) guy named Les ~ hunted for coyotes. *(* his "rabbit in screaming peril" mechanical tones . . . *that's* what came to mind *)*
- what a series this remains to be( enjoy whatever it is that you freely choose to place upon your screen ) cheers.
RIP Bendu internet.
RIP old dude.
Another fantastic episode! This is my favorite series so far. I hope they stick the landing.
and I need more Kleya haha
This audio torture bit reminds me of that Kate Bush video about the Military creating a sound that could kill!
It's busywork, punishment, control.
really wasnt expecting Vel and Mon to be related
To the comment that the Empire wouldn't use prisoners to build their military equipment. That is exactly what the Nazis did with the Jews. They would force them to work in factories building their tanks and bombs.
Funnily enough there was a space urinal in Dark Forces. Obviously they didn't have the fidelity to add specific animations, but they put a storm trooper there facing the wall like he's using it.
The Prisoners are building parts for the deathstar! Surely The parts built by the prisoners would go through a quality check before being sent out?
Now's this episode really is gonna make Rogue One that much more sadder, and as usual, Kyle Katarn and Bendu coming through with their blessed reaction.
This entire episode is the darkest I've ever witnessed from start to finish, and the Empire's not giving a fuck on liable human lives smh. I'm so hyped for the prison break episode next week. Andy Serkin's fantastic as usual!
I think it's called "Nobody's listening".
such a great multiple meaning episode;
The lack of realization towards the imperial chokehold, the willful ignorance of tyranny in hopes of the small glimmer of privacy, and the Imperial neglect of the ever growing dissent within the Empire
Agreed.
WHAT AN EPISODE
This show just gets better and better
Of course the ISB would find a way to weaponize ASMR 🤣
It is too bad for the former deputy inspector Karn that Dedra only has one setting when it comes to invading one's personal space... And I guarantee that whether she swipes left or right, a happy ending is not on the table. 😱
We've seen Andy Serkis break out of prison before in the first planet of the apes
I am calling it next season the ghorman massacre and that will shake up the senate.
You said it. The PORD changed the prisons into concentration camps and that transfer was just the first one.
@2:05 Heh, that hadn’t occurred to me… interesting. u may have something there!
Interesting 180. I thought Vel dressed up fancy for Coruscant. Didnt know it was the other way round. Love this show. Also Dedra+Syril is my ship.
"You wouldn't trust parts of your military hardware being assembled by prisoners." They did on Lothal.
A lot of German military hardware in WWII was made by concentration camp inmates.
and look how well that turned out for the TIE Defender program 🤣
@@KyleKatarnChannel I'm just saying they did.
Kind of unnerving how twice now someone has just keeled over and died. First it was the commander at Aldani, and now Ulaf. Both get pushed too far and then just die, or basically die.
Huh...Never thought Cyril to be a Simp Lord. The greatest enemies of the Jedi~~~~
You guys are awesome. I too said sonic torture!
Is melshi the same melshi from rogue one? Or am I trippin
yeah, I think the changing of PORD has affected the whole prison system and now people are being reassigned instead of being freed.
Disney got Bendu 😤!!! Lol
I think they are suppose to ship them to a different facility but messed up this time.
Andy is bringing it, he is acting stressed and he will fall! He has seen the light, and he will be on the inmates side cause he knows escape is the only way out!
On lothal the prisoners built the speeder bikes and the walkers and they sabotage them and thrawn made them pay so it definitely could be military
Cyril grabs her, gets right in her space and all she does is give him a mild threat, and then goes inside, takes off her coat and goes...phew. Very interesting dynamic going on there...
Yeah, personally I wanted her to beat his ass, but I guess she could be tired of always being the one in charge ... 🤮😂
She's into it, he's cute in a fascist kind of way
@@KyleKatarnChannel Imperial version of flirting. You assault me, I threaten you, the date may involve torture of some sort. (:
She keeps telling herself, that this time he got the message.
Reviewbrah is the doctor 😂😂😂
Did you guys notice that this series is full of actors from "Chernobyl"?
@@Singurarity88 It could be possible. But I would like to see her in at least one other season.
@@WeinsEarp absolutly. She is a great actor and really brings the hatred to life.
I love this show sooooo much!
Can I share your video as a reaction video on my channel? 😀😀
Here i am wanting to see those two dorks Syril and dedra to come together and he goes and spills his spaghetti
i love it
This was intense, I even panicked a bit more while watching this reaction as Bendu’s connection got cut out, and I was like “Yo What the Heck is goin on on LVL2!? Are they breachin the 4th wall for real?” XD
Jokes aside, i was hoping for the breakout scene, but this gets the hype even on higher lvl, and what a performance from Mr. Serkins! Can’t wait for next episode…
The Episode name is "Nobody's Listening"
I think they were supposed to send the prisoner to a different complex & screwed up. But, unless they make them mute, it seems like word would get out? I think maybe they are behind schedule and this is something new
Syril has gone full creepy stalker. Yikes.
Andor, a solo reaction.
