Not a fan of the exposed belt. You can see the black marks it is making on the rims and sides. If it is leaving marks then the belts will wear fast and break. Safety issue with the belt so it needs a cover to make safe and extend the life of the belt. Otherwise it looks like a great addition for carvers.

Not for me. Major safety and product longevity issues here. I'll stick to my Proxxon Longneck.
Interesting comment, i have been using the Manpa tools for almost a year and is better quality than the Proxxon or Merlin. They are not as easy to carve small projects with as the mini grinders, but they are great tools.
