A friend and I did a “bookshop crawl” like a pub crawl but better for your liver. We went to bath and hit about 7 bookshops including a topping and Co bookshop! Would totally recommend. We bought one book in each shop and went to the Jane Austen and Mary Shelley museums. It was amazing. Would totally recommend.

They made little origami figures out of old book pages and just gave them to us as an extra, and they put their store's stamp into the books I bought so I'll never forget where I got them. And they offered tea 😭😭 Loveliest experience ever!

You should goto The Open Book. It's in Scotland & it's a air bnb that you rent a flat above the book shop but then during the day you can actually run the shop. You can change the shop window, you can change the order if the books (I vote by rainbow colour), etc. It's a way to get a feeling of running a shop by the sea before actually opening your own business. Please go there & vlog your day as a 'bookshop owner for 1 day'!

This made me physically hurt from how much I miss that town. I moved in fall of 2019 for studies, got a flat in Stockbridge around Christmas, then had to leave this past summer for COVID related life changes. I fell in love with that city like it was prince charming and I only barely got to experience it. Stockbridge was wonderful to live in, though we only ended up there by pure chance - most of the lets there are way out of my means. Probably best place I've ever lived even if the flat itself was dubious.

I just realized that every book I read and buy are books you have recommended... and also, have you possibly talked about or read a book called " on Earth we're briefly gorgeous " by Ocean Vuong? I think you have but the cover is absolutely stunning

The place is absolutely beautiful 😍😍 it’s in a grade 2 listed building so the outside looks just as pretty as the inside ❤️Congratulations on your gradulation! ❤️❤️🥳🥳

I live in Edinburgh and am so bummed that I didn’t bump into you lol. It’s true that you’ve barely scratched the surface of bookstores 🧡- some other favourites are Portobello Bookshop (near the beach), Armchair books (second hand) and Lighthouse Books (radical books)

I live not-so-far from Edinburgh and have strangely never had a chance to do the book stores as I'm usually up doing other things. This makes me want to go and do so so incredibly much.
Would also reccomend reading Library Cat by Alex Howard. It's only a short book based in Edinburgh but it made me smile so much. Alex is also on Tiktok too.

I buy my books from Typewronger all the time! If I can move to Edinburgh tomorrow, I will move in to the Typewronger bookshop. T (the lovely owner chap) used to work and actually lived in the Shakespeare & Co bookshop.
