Ex-Californian that wants to keep the state red. Good news for those worried but most other Californians, Oregonians, and Washingtonians I've met that have also moved here are also conservative, I think it's possible that Idaho may become more red but we'll need to wait for November.

Apparently most feel like you do. I made the mistake of driving up to see friends that live in Boise a few years ago (I’m from California). The harassment was intense. Told to “go back to where I came from”, almost run off the road, etc. I’ll never make that mistake again- I will never visit again. Must not want tourism dollars. My friends can visit me….way more to do here anyway.

It all happened about 10 years ago. First they all came from Washington/ Utah/ Oregon that was the first wave. Now California/ Texas. Personally I think they ALL need to retake drivers Ed!

Love growing up in Boise and having hopes to someday buy a house, only to have those dreams crashed into the ground because of the out of state people driving up all the prices. LETS NOT mention the aggressive hot head drivers that want to run over everybody and everything on the road. Just all out warzone chaos on the roads in Boise. It sucks to drive, it sucks to walk because many roads don't even have sidewalks, it sucks to bike because the roads are all mainly made for car transportation. Whoever lists this city as the "best" is delusional. We are also the last place in Education in the United States. Dont come here.
Boise roads are really terrible. Even when you try to enter the grocery store, the turning places are so narrow. Who designed these terrible roads? People are also lazy; they don't demand their rights from the government. Dark streets and terrible road infrastructure are concerning issues

Yeah, can almost guarantee you can't afford Boise either. Cali's ruined it, and its soo expensive now. I was looking at buying a house not too long ago (lol, not a chance), and theres literally nothing on the market under 300,000 except tiny trailer homes. And everything is selling above asking price, because people keep getting in bidding wars. Not even beater houses available to fix up. Average rent for a 3bdrm is around 2k+ as well

@@Offbeatagent Well I myself am an Ex-Californian, but I have always been conservative. Most Californians, Oregonians, and Washingtonians I've met also tend more conservative. Housing and gas are bad but housing is going down and gas isn't Idaho's fault and it better than a lot of other places. I'm personally curious to see what happens in November cause I think there's a decent chance that Idaho will be more red. Evidence for this is that a lot of GOP incumbents got voted out in the primaries for MORE conservative candidates; in fact there were two GOP state senators that voted against the heartbeat bill that both lost their primaries.
