I'm laughing at those kids,it reminded me of an old joke. If you're stranded in a desert, forget that camel trying to find some water. Just turn a kid loose, he'll find you a mud hole. 😊. Chuck from Arkansas.
So glad I got to hear the Deer Alarm. I wondered what they sound like. The last hazy crazy days of Summer and the Children are lovin' it. Their laughter is making me smile so big. Their joy is catching. I've been hungry for that very Chicken meal. What a simple idea. YUMM😊
I’m telling ya that Mr. Lawson just loves riding on equipment. He lights up like Christmas each time I see him get on one. And all you all love the gardens. Such a joy to watch.
OMG!!! Meagan 😮😮😮. Today is day 14 of the 14 day pickles. Oh my word!!! Best pickles I have ever placed in my mouth. Wow!!!! Omg I just added them to my egg salad and it really took it up a notch!! Thank you sooo much for the recipe. Growing more cukes now. Just to make more of these. lol I have a line of folks that want a jar of them lol
When sweet corn comes in too fast to eat and can and starts to get tough my parents would cut the corn off the cob and place it in quart freezer bags and later when they thawed it out they would make creamed corn and it was really good.
Up state NY here. My San Marzano tomatoes grew like giant bunches of grapes...amazing! My weeds took over due to almost two weeks of daily rain. I actually broke my shovel digging up weeds. Your family is amazing.
Where's the greens or salad lol When Andy said got to put the electric fence up so the raccoons or deer get the sweet corn that reminded me of the time i forgot to put my fence on and went to work and just thinking of having sweet corn with my steak dinner once i got home but when i made it home most of my corn was down and i was in tears and cussing myself out. Larry
Good to see Jacob and Maggie having fun! A real laundry challenge! Your eyes are looking better today. You’ll never forget but it’ll become less painful as the years go by. I’m amazed by your crick garden. I’m fighting the same battle with weeds just not on the scale you are. Our ground is like a rock! Blessings to your family. ❤
I had 4 daughters who didn't like mud puddles. They were like 4 little barbie dolls with bows in their hair. Lol. They made up for it, TRUST me! Now i have WILD little grandsons who drag ME thru the mud like bam bam on the Flintstones? Now I see how much fun mud can be! 😂
Great video! It's good to see y'all and hope everyone is doing well. Things can definitely get out of hand in a short time. We know y'all have been going through a difficult time and we continue to keep you and your family in our prayers. The kids sure had a good time playing in the mud hole. It was good to see them enjoying themselves and having fun! There's nothing like playing in the mud! Meagan is going to have fun cleaning up them youngins and washing their clothes. Y'all take care! God Bless 🙏🤗❤
Greetings to my favorite TH-camrs from Northern California. We're having another heat wave. Around 100 degrees for the last week after a nice cool spell. Y'all are so wonderful and genuine, that's why you are so loved. Still thinking of you and your loss ❤️
Hi y'all, I got your cookbook today. I can't put it down. I also can't decide what to fix next. A great video as always. I loved the kiddos in the mud and tell Andy it's never too old to play in the dirt ( mud). Lol. Love yall
Eastern NC saying hey! So glad to see y’all doing what you love! Loved Maggie and Jacob in the mud hole! Brought back great memories! Still keeping y’all in prayer.❤️
My third time watching this episode this week. The first two times I kept getting interrupted so third times the charm for completely uninterrupted viewing. :) But I could watch an episode multiple times even if I hadnt been interrupted before! Just love ya'll!
I love watching y'all and I love seeing those kids out playing in the mud puddles being kids instead of in front of a video games. Y'all live a life I miss. I get to live it through watching. Thank you
I ended up with that kind of cross. Blue lake and wonders. The beans get huge and not Shelly much. I have found they can up nice but need a bit of extra flavoring when cooking up if you don’t add salt to your canning jar before processing. Kids love them. Oh, the seeds dry up real nice too in the pods. My 3rd year with them. They produce huge amounts.
Love watching you all. Such a loving caring family. Kids are so happy. Love seeing kids playing outside instead of sitting in front of a gaming console.
Me and my husband took a road trip August 25 to Stuart VA. To the wood brothers museum.Did not want to go back across that mountain, so we take 8 to Sandy ridge NC .Stop at The Dollar store for directions.drove almost to Winston Salem.Beautiful We love watching you guys.we live in East Tennessee
Those young uns earned their bath. lol Congrats on all of your harvests this year! Our little patch of popcorn is almost ready to harvest. We fought crows , old seed (replanted with a random store bought seed) and drought. I hope we get something from the crop. God bless!
Whenever I want to get away from the rat race of the world, I come to your Vlog. Such good-hearted people. Whether it's gardening ,canning, or recipes I'm always learning something. I just want to say thank you for the escape to a kinder sweeter way of life. Keep doing what you do. 😊
Oh how I remember playing in a mud hole when I could. I grew up in west Texas so we didn't get many but I found em when we did get some rain. Thanks for taking us along today.
There's nothing that will make a garden or field look better than mowing or bush hogging around it. Those are some great looking tomatoes. Y'all have a great night!
I saw a video of a man that gets his own corn syrup from his sweet corn, I always wondered about it now I know.., it was so wonderful to watch him,, he said it has to be done with sweet corn
Great video 😂love the kids playing in mud-hole I remember when I did that too 😂… so glad see you all keeping old traditions alive 🙏A lot of work but very good during the summer and winter months eating your harvest
I use a battery/AC powered electric fence shocker. Its powerful enough that any weed that grows up enough to touch it will kill the weed. I run more than 1 lead, 2 sometimes 3. The low catches the small critters and weeds, the upper wire stops the larger animals. Deer are going to jump anything they want to get over. The middle wire is just a safety. If you used the plastic step in posts it easier and faster to pull them up one at a time and move them in or out a foot so you can mow or trim. Ill start at one corner and walk the line moving the posts as I go. When Im done mowing I can go back and return the posts or meerly spin one of the post around to take up any slack. I use the yellow tape wire. It has 4 or 5 wires in it. The yellow tape lets it been seen and multiple wires in the tape insure the line stays hot. When finished the tape is so much easier to roll up and put away for winter or whenever that lot is no longer in use. Rolling up tensile wire has too many difficulties, including the metal posts if used. Sure, it wont stand up to a fallen tree but rarely does that happen and I try and keep those hazards taken care of as I can use the firewood or sell it later. Maybe you might try it.
Another Super Duper video. That was so cute. Seeing the little ones playing in the mud hole. So cute and oh my goodness your supper looked delicious.😋😋😋
The Creek Garden provided a great harvest and more yet to come out there again. You had a couple of Gi-nor-mus Mudbugs working out in the mud puddles and having a rough time getting out of the puddles but looking way back it reminded us that those were good times!!! Doing all that work in the garden and hearing the fun the kids were having and the wonderful meal that Momma made was a reminder why you make fun out of all the work it took to survive an enjoyable life. Thanks so much for sharing with us and all the blessings we have recieved from watching your You Tube Channel. Fred.
Hello from cape cod mass, I was wondering if you how the walking onions are doing? Should be sprouting right about now, hope all is well with you and your family. Just love watching your gardens and family togetherness and the animals. Big 🥰
I live at the base of Currahee mountain I don’t think we are to far apart. Where Megan was talking about canning sausage my grandma and mom used to make the balls about the size of a golf ball can it. It will stay together hot biscuit and eggs delicious
SOUTH GA HERE, SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU ALL AND SPEND SOME TIME WITH YOU. I'M GETTING READY TO PLANT CARROTS, MUSTARD GREENS, TURNIPS, CAULIFLOWER, CABBAGE, AND BROCCOLI. TAKE CARE, PRAYING FOR YOU ALL.
I've lived in WNC all my life. Traveled the country working millwright for 35 yrs. As far as I can tell in the time I have watched y'all, you are somewhere above North Wilksburough. I'm south east of y'all in Mitchell co. I can see the peak of Mnt Mitchell from my back porch. I love your channel and a few things I do different, but that's how my maw maw taught me. I'm 54 now so I don't think I'll change my mind on them. I do love the way you place your canned jars on the lids. I was taught the same way.
Good morning from 105 degrees So Cal.!! TOO HOT! I had to take shade covers and cover my tomatoes and peppers so they don’t sunburn! Crazy weather. And of course, now it’s fire season… 👎🏻🤨. Glad to see you two! Meagan you look great… hope the family is doing well! Envious of your cooler weather. Enjoy your weekend! 🥰

Hello everyone. I'm so glad to hear the kids laughing & having fun in the mud hole. They surely do have fun on the farm. Sweet, sweet family.
I always think kids miss out when they haven’t known the joy of playing in a mud hole
We let our kids play in mud holes. One of my favorite memories of my kids when they were little. 😊
