Short answer: there is no clear answer, but there’s no clear answer for many huge producer/DJs too. My answer: I believe he knows how to produce. Cut Snake is a monumental project in 2010s tech house and I’m sure he got practice with Sedz. They ran that project for many years. When Fisher split off, people found out he had a co-producer (Chris Lake) and created a narrative that he’s entirely ghost produced. Im unsure if there’s footage of him working in a DAW outside of what i included in the video. Fisher seems to be scrutinized harder since he has a background is surfing TLDR: Yes Fisher produces. He also has a lot of haters and this narrative spread.

I don’t like fisher because most of his tracks sound the same and when i compare him to the French house scene like gesafelstein, Justice, and the legendary Daft Punk, i certainly can say his music seems very bland to me
Fisher is the ultimate bastardization of house by white basic fratbros. It's not bad, but it's certainly not good. I've been a house DJ for a long time, never heard of the bloke since a year ago. I wish festivals would stop taking such a big place in edm culture. We gotta go back to the local bars and clubs roots. Bigroom DJs have got to go. As much as the US gave us house and techno (forever grateful for those), now they're just deleterious to the edm scene as a whole.
I definitely agree with you to an extent! I don't think Fisher is the ultimate bastardization, I think the bastardization of house comes from trends on TikTok and young Producers/DJs hopping on these trends to capitalize. The next generation of party-goers latch on to these sounds, vibes, aesthetics, and brands, and it's felt throughout the scene. Fisher is just a guy being himself who just so happens to be one of the biggest DJs. If it wasn't Fisher, it would've been someone else. I think there's a place for everyone. There's always going to be experimental/underground events. There's always going to be clubs with tables and kids losing their minds at festivals. There'll always be bars and afterhour parties staying true to the original culture. Although EDM may be extremely commercialized, it's much easier to find niches and communities still rocking it in that underground fashion. I think that's where the EDM vs Electronic Music debate comes in (to me they are two separate things. EDM is commercial sounds, electronic music is more heady and experimental. There's EDM tech house and also electronic music tech house. Two different scenes coexisting.) Music is cyclical and in a couple years, popular tastes could be anything from Hyperpop to Trap to Trance to IDM. We'll never know until it's here. Fisher might still be massive or just another blip on the map.

If you want know WHO is beast it Is Marsh And Lutrell from Anjunadeep, these guys Are beasts they have far better production skills And mixing skills, Fisher Is ONLY fake and when you take him in front of CDJs without prerecorded set And without Sync He Is nobody
