Call me now on 07906 956035 for a free 15 minute chat (9am-9pm). Find out what help I offer you to resolve your co-parenting dispute. Help writing statements, positioning your case, preparing for cafcass interviews & negotiating with your ex-partner/their lawyer
I would also advise prevailing on the judge to ensure that children are interviewed at a CAFCASS office and not at the other parent's home. CAFCASS will resist this and offer various excuses so the judge must clearly direct them. Judges and CAFCASS are now obliged to take account of possible parental alienation. If your children are under pressure from the other parent to adjust what they say, you need this.
My observations as a experienced McKenzie Friend are cafcass are normally very good to prioritise interviewing children in a neutral setting but I know this won't always happen and sorry to hear that wasn't your experience. Sometimes I feel their assessment of parental alienation considerations are lacking in depth as are the subsequent available court strategies to remedy such situations for the children involved
They don't give a monkeys about alienation. They are facilitating it. Their own review said it was a factor in 80% of cases. If thats true. Where are the expert witnesses like theh have in the US and Europe ?? This form of child abuse goes unchecked facilitated by the courts@MckenzieFriendGrahamFletcher
@MckenzieFriendGrahamFletcher I'm guessing my last response was deleted because it's right. CAFCAS conceded that alienation is a factor in at least 80% of cases. But courts don't have resources to deal with it ? That's like conceding that we have to have an acceptable level of psychological abuse from alienating parents taking place. It's acknowledging that counts are causing harm and psychological trauma. If the court did not cause a schism in these families, then a parent would not be able to alienate the child. That means the courts are aiding and abetting a form of child abuse. That's unacceptable. I appreciate that you took the time to respond.
Doesnt matter how well prepared you are - Cafcass will write up something completely at odds to what you and your child said. Olivia Davies, Cafcass interview 5th February 2024. Total disgrace.
to my knowledge cafcass has internal complaints procedures to engage with and you should email them to request changes to the report -list the details that they haven't recorded in their report-you could also highlight these points in a position statement to the court to note their omissions. you could also possibly complain to the Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman about the individual social worker (not sure if possible but worth contacting them).I'd advise the mort important aspect of reading a cafcass report is to focus on the recommendations section and to not be triggered by previous sections with "report" what the other parent has said (they may not be believed)
Complains so they can send him a word salad letter. Don't you think you've wasted enough of his time. Pretend to be a nice guy to his face then shut down contact with his kids. How much money is enough to do that ? As jobs go that sounds like the pits. @@MckenzieFriendGrahamFletcher
