Slay! Most pure reaction I've seen on Ditto.
Plus you picked up 90% of the meaning on the first try. The deeper meanings are open to interpretation which what makes NJ and the whole artistic team top notch.
The main character (Ban Heeso) pronounced in Korean sounds like "Bunnies" which is NJ's fandom. Ditto can also represent the relationship between K-Pop Idols and their fans.
The last part of the video is an older Ban Heesoo looking back knowing she in real life is not part of NJs but they are still with her. It's really about growing up and generational. This video is timeless and I can still imagine rewatching it 10+ years in the future with the same effect. I'm crying again.
Please do "Cool with You' next. It's got some big stars in it and the R&B vibe and visuals is out of this world.

These two mvs perfectly describe the feeling of being a long-time fan. The feeling of loneliness + nostalgia + belonging + happiness are so present when you grow up centering a person who is so far away but at the same time so close to your heart, at the center of your life. It's like you are really friends with this person, but then you realize that you're not, and that's ok because they are always gonna be there for you.
It’s okay! I always cry during the Ditto MVs too. Even if you don’t completely understand the idea, it still gets you because it’s that REAL nostalgia. The found footage, etc. It just gets you so hard.
Pause whenever you feel ! I personally love when people try to understand the videos. OMG is actually the song that got me into K-pop so I hope u get to listen to it and maybe like it more on its own aswell ! The performance videos for K-pop are insane it’s the dancing but they make basically a whole music video on its own and u get to see more of their outfits and visuals in those videos too. Hi. Let me summarize without getting into too much detail. In Ditto, the MV is from point of view from a fan. The sixth girl uses ‘needs New Jeans to get through the sometimes tough high school life. She realizes this is a fantasy and begins to “come back to reality” and eventually loses touch with New Jeans. Just like as teens we idolize musicians or rather use their music to get through hard times and then sorta forget about them. In the end she watches the vcr tape which brings back memories of her childhood and appreciation of how they helped her.
In OMG, the MV is pov of New Jeans, or specifically what fans “think” New Jeans are. Hanni as an iPhone (she’s known to be an all rounder “doing all things for everyone” sorta like an iPhone. She’s always there for us like an iPhone. Minji the “doctor”- fans think of her as the leader. Smart and takes care of everyone. Danielle-fans think of her as “always happy and the vitamin of the group”. In the MV you see her laughing at a tv with only static. She laughs and giggles at everything lol. She’s the only one sorta realizing they might be New Jeans. Hyerin- fans think she looks like a cat, nuff said. Hyein-fans think of her as a princess. So to represent the dichotomy of what the fans think the girls are like, and the reality of what they are, the director chose this storyline…five girls in a mental ward who don’t know who they are. Ingenious!
Both MV’s are about the parasocial relationship between a fan and their idols. Just from different point of views.

Ditto and Omg were created by the same production company and director, and it is said that when filming Ditto's music video, they thought of OMG's choreography and included it in the music video. The girl filming with the camcorder in Ditto is Ban Hee-su, and the name in the pigeon letter at the beginning of OMG is also the same person.
Ban Hee-su refers to New Jeans' fandom name, Bunnies.
The meaning of the OMG music video is that everyone lives in illusions and delusions, but let's respect each other, and like the title of OMG, the lyrics are a confession of love for the Bunnies.
At first, Hanni was confused because she looked like an idol and sang the songs she wanted, but in the end, she thought of herself as an iPhone and Shiri. Second, Daniel had a positive smile no matter the situation. Third, Minji thought she was a doctor at a mental hospital, but when she was young, she thought she was a doctor at a mental hospital. takes child Minji as a patient. Next is Hyein, who thinks she's a princess in a fairy tale, while Haerin thinks she's a cat because the members always nickname her cat. Daniel says we are New Jeans and is currently filming a music video, and the video ends with him taking Hater with him as a patient.
I really liked your reaction. You picked up on things that a lot of bigger reaction channels miss. The only thing I don't think people mentioned is the fawn in Ditto. A fawn usually symbolizes innocence and purity. And in DItto, she has to come to grips with letting that part of her life go, and to essentially grow up and be part of the rest of the world. Until then, she lived in her own world where it was just her and NewJeans. As she let it go, she was able to let her feelings for the boy grow. In the end, she came back to watch the videos (memories) of the times she had with NewJeans. To me it just shows that a lot of Kpop fans start off very young, and idols become their close friends. After letting all that go, in the future, it's ok to look back with fondness at the more happier, carefree times of your youth.
The crazy thing with omg is dani (your bias) is the only person who beleives she is an idol... which begs the question.. are all the other videos of new jeans just a figment of danis mind? makes sense seeing as how they never exist in some of them.. and in some of them they are a figment of someone eles mind... so in someone else mind who is also in danis mind.. its inception level stufff dream within a dream within a dream.. oh gosh... also remember in ETA its always hanni calling eva... is hanni the iphone in eta as well? :o Yes also in the video Haerin beleives shes a cat, hyein beleivesshes a fairytale princess and minji thinks shes actually a doctor in the ward looking after them.

I was extremely lucky I reacted to these videos in order if I would’ve done omg first I wouldn’t have understood as much as I did. Are there any new jeans videos that I should react to in order? @@Nicoleboojie Hi :) yeah i dont think it matters too much now those two vids are the only ones i beleive that are totally connected although the mv for 'cool with you' is also a drama and does have side a and side b (watch that next if you enjoyed these drama ones)... make sure you do those in order its very important... aside from that i think thats it... the rest of their videos are pretty much stand alone although i'm sure someone here will correct me i'm wrong :)
If youre into the drama mv's i would love your reaction to t-ara 'day by day' drama mv and the second part t-ara 'sexy love' drama mv.. t-ara really started these high production drama mvs way back and they actually were the group that got me into kpop :)

Yep you're spot on with the ditto analysis.... as sad as it is another even darker theory is all 6 were friends and after some sort of accident jeeyso(the girl filming) is the only one who survived.. which explains the arm cast. Dont be too upset side b has a good ending. But heres a quick explanation for you: YES! ditto & omg are on the same single so the stories are connected.
Ditto came out first, the relationship between Heeso and the girls represents the parasocial relationship that some fans form with kpop groups. You got everything kinda spot on :)
Next, theres OMG. OMG has different satirical representations of the girls TOWARDS their fans. Hanni is the iphone, Minji is a doctor, Danielle im not sure, Haerin is the cat, and Hyein is a princess. If you rewatch and think about it this way, you can see how each of those connects. Theres also some easter eggs like Hanni calling for Heeso that also point to this conclusion. They end up in the psych ward because they get so lost trying to be their assigned roles and forget who they really are: kpop idols. They fall too deep into the roles that are assigned and encouraged by their "fans".
Overall, the stories told in these mvs are meant to be a critique on kpop fan culture, which is why theres that scene at the end of OMG. Also, everything can be interpreted differently to you, but this is how I've seen everything. The story means a lot to me, and it made me fall IN LOVEE with these girls, their music, and their style. I really hope that you can enjoy them for now on aswell :D

The boy in Ditto was always staring at/ looking to the girl not because he liked her, but because she was doing many stuff alone, like a crazy person... I thought that was the saddest thing 😢
I don't think I've ever seen someone have the same reaction as I did to it on first watch before.
basically ditto is a story where the girl recording is referring to us as viewers. We as viewers are only seeing newjeans through the camera because we watch newjeans through out phones or computer etc. Basically us becoming “friends” with newjeans. The deer however is a sign of youth and the reason why the deer is there in the first place is because that is our “childhood” leaving and we grow older to then draw our attention to finding love in the boy. Ditto side B’s ending is basically us as viewers all grown up and and re-watching newjeans again, reflecting to our past and watching newjeans all over again and finding that nostalgia that newjeans were our friends even tho they don’t know we exist. 💚

This ERA was the golden era of NJ for me. their music is top notch both musically and lyrically. It was made perfectly, but hate me or not, their new album in latest is meh musically. I hope in the next comeback they will bring NJs their Golden Era music.

the way i see ditto is that there were 6 friends that had an accident (that's why there's a deer in the mv, the cause of the accident) and the girl was the only one that survived, she only broke her arm, and all this time she has been remembering her 5 friends, she breaking the camera is a sign that she want to move on with her life. Then when she is grown up she sees the videos that she made with her friends when they were teenagers and remembers them with a smile! i think the boy helped her to move on! he was the only one that notices her alone all the time and thats why the deer dissapears when she was leaving with the boy!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i read on twt/yt comm that this mv is kinda like ditto the movie about 2 world ( past n future), heeso is from the future and new jeans is from the past. The things that connected them are the school.
The ending is quite simple, she has grown up and can accept that illusion as part of herself, no longer denying it. It's like embarrassing memories from childhood, when we get old, we think about them again with smile.
I bet you’ll love xg and kiss of life too. Like Newjeans, XG and kiss of life is also different. Their music is very catchy and sounds amazing. And yes you’ve left some of Newjeans’s songs. first react to their other songs then XG and at last Kiss of life.
