bhaiya iam joining NIT raipur in civil branch and comparing the stats of nit rr and one of the top nit ,nit rourkela civil at nit rr is very very good avg package is almost similar 8-8.5 and placement percentage also similar 75% near about in both but highest package of nit rr is 21.5 whereas in NIT R it is 17 lpa ,so in pov of CIVIL NITRR>NITR but overall NITR>>>NITRR so should i join NITRR ,mujhe college life se utna fark nhi padta still NITRR has above avg campus life ,and csab mein mereko mechanical bhi mil skti hai ,iam in a great dillema please help me

Why, because alumnus from these colleges have created world famous structures. Need example? Here: Fazlur Rehman Khan who built Towers in Chicago that was tallest in the world for 25 years. Alumnus from these colleges attend to several large government projects in India and abroad, and for several decades.

I want to take ceramic engineering in nit rourkela and keep cgpa 8.5+ to do 4th year btech from IIT Hyderabad .but iit hyderabad doesnt have ceramic engineering as b tech branch .so what shall i do?

@@trigunadityapnd I agree, most colleges in BBSR are no-go; including IIT. Few professors of NIT R went to IIT BBSR. During our time Ganapati Panda went to IIT BBSR Electronics Dept. And one NC Sahoo went in IIT BBSR too and remained true to his reputation (go through social media postings, I will not elaborate it here).
But in the recent times I feel IIT Bbsr is improving. That's what i've heard, not sire though
@@trigunadityapnd You see brother, folks all over India will go to NIT R anyday rather than going to IIT BBSR. As we say in english, it's better to be head of the dog than the tail of the lion.
@@trigunadityapnd From your Hindi, it seems you are from Rourkela. Have you ever gone outside of Orissa (I prefer the old name :-)) ? Chances are very high that you will get your job outside of Orissa, it's a different world, you will come to know.
