I disagree with Gary on one point...Social media platforms are not just a bunch of tubes that reflect humanity...They are carefully thought out platforms that implement human psychology to elicit certain behaviors to drive ad revenue.

The flaw in your comment and also why Gary is right, is social media does not create the content on their platforms, people do. And that is his point. What you see is based on the historical pattern of your interests on that platform. If you like dogs, you'll see a lot of dog content, etc.
@@joyroad8392 - LOL, that was not his point at all, but now that you mention it social media platforms do censor for political bias and occasionally cancel free speech.
@@shobeezy Humans might add or create some of the content, but social media platforms use algorithms, shadow bans, political bias, etc. to control which content gets seen or rises to the top...and we don't know how much content is actually created via AI or fake accounts. Back during the height of covid for example, I wanted to hear opinions of other doctors with different treatments, but I could not because any doctor that did not go along with the narrative at the time got cancelled or censored.
