Sir, You are correct in Malayalees tendency in money management, which you can see in companies and in individuals and 99% of them want to become Ambani and / or Adani in a short period. We want jobs and recruits workers from other state. Because we want Government jobs, where we get salary without doing work. We want to become Adani, without investment. We want to become rich without hard work. Years back, Manorama conducted a survey in Lottery First price holders status, after 5 years they got the price money. 97.36% millionares are in debt and working the same they was before they got the price. 3% people used their price money correctly and the rest was mismanagement and become ZERO. All people are NEEDY and we are GREEDY for money.

Nowadays ETFs are a better investment options compared to mutual funds?
Etf is also a mutual fund , passive fund , advantage it's passive fund , same weightage of concerned index. Can effectively use daily fluctuations.
Etf will be more better with more people coming to it with more liquidity
Liquor,Lottery and corruption ,Gold smuggling,Drug trafficking,militant TU acts,unproductive jobs etc are the slogans to progress in kerala.The ruling govt party itself sponsors these activities.No use advising these retrograde mindset fellows in kerala.
But Keralites outside Kerala are very smart in investing and asset class allocations etc.
Mutual fund and SIP are waste. They make huge returns but give us very less, say 15%.. It involves market risks as well. Besides, there is lock in period like 3 to 10 years.
Better to invest in safe large cap equity shares which are fundamentally strong. Buy the dip.
