    14 minutes in: "Holy crap! That bunk room/loft is awesome!"

      What’s up bro! The colors, size, amenities, and layout is great on this one. If you can hold out for a little they are hott and I don’t see too many dealers trying to negotiate. Just look at the forest river Heritage Glenn/Hemisphere by Salem who had this Floorplan before Keystone which will give you some negotiating room in case they try to play hard ball.

    • @bradleyshelton294
      @bradleyshelton294 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I agree. They are hot. The dealer we went to today had a sale price of $62k. The only thing I worry about with the Salem/Wildwood is build quality. The cheaper price comes at a cost. Looking through them there are just some build quality issues that kind of worry me. Maybe I’m an over thinker? The Montana just felt more solid to me and with three little destructive boys I feel we need the sturdier built feeling. Lol

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I don’t disagree as I’ve seen some flaws from FR but it’s a good way to try to get the price down. $62 is a fair price and you’re getting a good Floorplan for sure.

    Great floor plan. Love the front living room. Not a fan of that bathroom door. I understand why that door was installed though. I also like the stair down into the bedroom and all the head through out the 5th wheel. Also know why you're not a fan of the low point at the rear to the coach but because of having to step down into the bedroom that is why it is low on the rear. Thanks much to Mrs. JB and you JB for the review.

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @bradleyshelton294 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Very nice floor plan and great video. Really enjoy what you’re doing and putting out there!
    Just as a side note and a cheat for future use; in the Montana series if the floor plan is odd numbered it has the residential fridge. If it’s an even numbered floor plan is has a gas/electric RV fridge. Thus that’s the only difference in the 377 and the 376.

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It really is and thanks for the heads up! This Floorplan will definitely be on the list when we go looking for a fifth wheel in the future. Only issue is I think my son/daughter may not want to share a space as they get older...

    • @bradleyshelton294
      @bradleyshelton294 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I can understand that. Maybe as they get older and they don’t go as much it could be a nice hybrid between being an empty nester rig and having your kids with you. And also as they get older one could take the loft and one could take a couch.

    We looked at this model recently at an RV show and loved the originality of it! But you're right about the weights... I would go with a dually to pull this monster! Also just for added stability with how tall it is. Keep up the good reviews!

    Hey jb Random request, sorry it’s a little off topic. Could you do a towing and empty test of the same HD truck. Ram or ford. Same motor and build But with different axle ratios. Like 3.73 vs 4.10 “ram” or 3.55 vs 4.30 “ford” I’ve heard the differences most of my life but I’ve never seen them compared side by side same day. Mpg, speed towing, 0-60 or on-ramp speed. I’m also curious which it makes more difference, ram 6speed or fords new 10speed. If you do that you would be the only one on TH-cam I’ve seen. If it’s possible it would be much appreciated

      Hey Dennis this is a really good idea and I would be interested in trying it out! Give me some time to see which dealer has the trucks available and I will try it out. Unfortunately it may be harder for me to do Ford truck videos...

      JB Reviews now problem, I’m more interested in the ram personally anyway. Perhaps you could find one thats the same build as your truck but with a 4.10. “I think yours is the 3.73 right?” Would make it easier. That and/or maybe test the 6.4 like that as well.

      First time was a month after factory warranty expired. We had an extended warranty through Good Sam club that we were able to use to cover some of the repairs. Had to have a RV dealership send a tech out to us. The slide was out. He replaced the cable to enable us to get home. After we got home from vacation I had to take it back to the dealership that repaired it for them to make all needed repairs. They replaced another cable and added reinforcement at one of the top rollers. Took several months to get it back. RV repair shops are notoriously slow. Luckily Heartland covered some of the repairs out of courtesy. About a year later did it again. All out of my pocket the last time.

    Off topic - I heard you say you are using both city a water and also the fresh water tank...can you elaborate on that statement. I use either city water when in an RV Park or fresh water tank when in a State Park...not both.
    Also what RV Park are you in as I thought they all closed in the winter.

      Hey Jeffrey I am planning to do a video within a week or so to explain why I use both. Long story short is in the winter time I prefer to have my fresh water filled just in case I have issues with freezing. In the warmer months I will just use city connection. I’m not staying in a campground technically it’s more of a fulltime spot in MD.
