Vietnamese Sour Soup with Shrimp - Canh Chua Tôm

- Ingredients:
6 cups warm water
1 pound 30/40 shrimp head on
2 Tbsp tom tum paste
1 Tbsp tamarind soup base
3 Tbsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
4 Tbsp fish sauce (Flying Lion brand)
4 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp chicken powder (Lee Kum Kee)
2-3 stalk Bạc Hà (elephant ear stem) thinly sliced on the diagonal
1 lb bean sprouts
4 Roma tomatoes, cut into wedges
1/2 pound Okra
2 Thai chili, thinly sliced
1/4 cup ngo gai (sawtooth herb), chopped
1/4 cup ngo om (rice patty herb), chopped

Unfortunately I cant get the elephant ear stem and paddy herbs around me. What can I use instead?
You can substitute elephant ear stem with celery.
Give me some rice and Cà Pháo with that soup! 👍

Is there a way to make Canh Chua without seafood? My gf doesn't like seafood but I want to show her Canh Chua
You can try this recipe with meat if you like. But I think canh chua with fish it's the best 👍
