- Kevin Durant said that it’s “unacceptable” that the Phoenix Suns lost to the San Antonio Spurs. Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright discuss whether the Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, or Golden State Warriors have been more disappointing, as well as the lack of success from the Buffalo Bills in the Josh Allen era. Plus, they discuss J.J McCarthy’s draft odds increasing, and why he could end up as the 2nd overall pick.

FIRE J-MAC
Fire whoever is in charge of the sound volume/quality for these YT videos. It’s absolutely insane how every other video sounds tinny or is extremely quiet. Like how is it even that inconsistent?? Been happening for months, figure it out.
Absolutely absurd that it's still happening. Only seeing it with FS1 programs.
You people are deaf. There’s nothing wrong w the audio
@viniestphoenix6 you are dumb. It's terrible.
@@viniestphoenix6There’s dozens of comments about the volume, it’s an issue
@@viniestphoenix6 It is clearly messed up. The outro is much louder than the rest of the video. You can hear it, but you need to turn the volume settings up and if you switch to a different video on another channel the volume is way to loud.
HOW HAVE YOU GUYS STILL NOT FIXED A VERY SIMPLE VERY BASIC AUDIO ISSUE
i promise it's not this hard to just have a consistent proper volume throughout the video, shouldn't have to put the volume to max just to hear it then have our eardrums blasted out with "HEY ITS ME UNCLE COLIN" 🗣📢
It is more obnoxious than Colin’s worst rants and limits my viewing of Cowherd’s podcast to when I’ve a mute button in hand. Maybe FOX promises their advertisers that their ads will be shockingly loud to get the viewers attention.
FIX THE SOUND. PLEASE.
Thank you I was gonna ask this. Anyone else blew their ears out as soon as the commercial came in?
Daily post asking you to fix the sound. I love it when the show is quiet and the ads are blaring like a Metallica concert
😂 yeah true
at this point it's not enough to just fire the sound guy. fire whoever is in charge of the sound guy.
It’s weird how the production quality varies so widely on these
And they only give First Things First 20 minutes :(
thought my speakers broke then i went to the comments
“They haven’t played any games since the season ended”. Ahhhh. Good take there Collin. Really stepped out on a limb
Collin’s tennis take proves he doesn’t ever actually watch tennis
Colin and Nick have amazing chemistry! Love it!
FIX THE AUDIO YOU GOONS - AUDIT YOU'RE OWN WORK!
He’s said nothing about it. The engineers are not idiots but the repeated sound complaints are ignored. At this point assume that the unaddressed obnoxious sound issues are on purpose.
Fix the sound. Why is this half as quiet as first things first?
Harbaugh is just trying to make his pick more valuable for trade bait
I think JJ is capable of being a more tool-sy Brock Purdy. But I could also see a reality where he's Drew Lock mixed with Desmond Ridder. Neither of those outcomes are worth the 2nd overall pick, but he's a first round talent when you consider his efficiency and athleticism. He just needs to be on an already solidified offense like Miami or Minnesota in order to distribute.
He is still pretty young its hard to say exactly what his ceiling is.
I feel likes he’s a project tbh. He will be a professional person in the locker room he’s got size and tools but I think he sits somewhere 2-3 years then turns into a pretty good pro! I don’t think he’s ready yet to play. Jordan Love type project
Josh Allen does not have the highest winning percentage without a superbowl appearence in his own conference, Lamar is like over 70% and Allen is mid 60's%
Do we count all the games that Lamar has missed?
@@TitanPardy808why.. why would you count games he didn’t play in
I'll still take Lamar over that overrated any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
The Bills should have kept Dabol as HC...
Just watched a clip of Colin saying "LeBron...were good. You can stay but Ben Simmons is here so you can leave if you want" hahaha just made me laugh when this came across to watch next.
Curry…. We’re good. You can stay but we have Trae young so leave whenever you want to
@@HakiWRLD 😂😂😂😂
Nick is spittin' on the NBA.
Sports talk faulting the NBA for not promoting future stars when they don't do anything but talk about the old guard themselves is rich.
Nick trolls the Bills and is surprised he is called a hater? Cmon man, you can't be that shortsighted. 😂
He's right tho
@@micahmartens7770no he’s not lmao
@polishutube which part was he wrong about?
Yall should be embarrassed about this audio.
Please editor, for the love of God, TURN DOWN THE VOLUME on the tag at the end! They’ve been like 20 dB’s higher than the rest of the video.
Colin literally described why jj didnt throw a ton of tds. Played with huge leads every game due to the best running game of this decade. Why would he throw 50 touchdowns 😂
I think JJ will be like all those Alabama QBs pre Jalen/Tua - they're NFL backups for a while then out of the league
and it’s important to note that Jalen and Tua got EVERYTHING done right for them to succeed. i mean look at what Hurts had to work with when he made his SB run, look at what Tua has to work with offensively in miami.
Im a Michigan fan and I love JJ….he’s a 3rd rd pick who needs to sit behind a vet for 3 years. He’s got a lot of potential but he needs to sit
JJ McCarthy was hurt in the Penn State game. It was literally reported and it was apparent in his play. Why do pundits keep using only this game as evidence?
Sound is terrible and there was no mention of the suns spurs game in this 😂
Nick is very insightful
J.j doesn't feel anything like Zach. It's way closer to Mac Jones.
Mac Jones has real physical limitations. JJ doesn't have any of that.
Lmao what
These audio level changes are waking up my 7 month old 😂
Colin please fire your audio guy.
we have audio level at "Whisper" or what?
How can the volume master ….. have f’ed up volume, literal volume is lower than anything on TH-cam
PLEASE SOMEONE FIX THE SOUND. ITS BEEN WEEKS
Fix the audio!!
Great content as always!
Nick Wright makes a good point about the NBA featuring future stars from smaller markets. But the NBA is smart to feature current stars in the larger market coastal teams to build current viewership numbers in regions where the future stars will eventually move and be playing.
Nick, JJ was hurt in that Penn State game. His foot got messed up, could barely jog. But he still played. Funny enough, you saw a similar thing happen in the Rose Bowl (off of which he through a back foot dime to Roman Wilson off a Semaj Morgan fleaflicker).
Bro people dont actually watch games 😂. Everyone brings up the Penn State game, and dont mention that the tackles literally could not block PSU's Edge rushers
Please fix the audio
the sound sucks
Oh god, Caleb is Nick’s next obsessive player. Here we go again…
Trying to get a do-over after 'The Prince' flopped
Nick’s Bills take its spot on. Either Josh Allen is a top 3 quarterback and the Bills have underachieved, or he’s not a top 3 quarterback
So three teams win the Super Bowl every year?
@@seandelevan mental gymnastics
@seandelevan no, but you'd expect the bills to have gotten to the superbowl at least once.
When you lose to the chiefs or bengals in the playoffs every year you've definitely underachieved if you really are the 2nd or 3rd best qb in the league
@@jasperegan3625 so with that logic Matt Stafford and Brock Purdy are top 3 qbs?
@seandelevan how does that make sense? My point was pretty clear, Josh allen and the bills have underachieved, because I believe he is a top 3 qb.
Unless you're arguing that he's not a top 3 qb, which is a whole other discussion.
I think it's actually FIRST THINGS FIRST that has the low volume. Colin's show is alright when not talking to Nick Wright. Still pretty annoying that they can't get this segment fixed each week though.
Nick was really on point today. Also the NBA has marketed s bit too much towards star players rather than Teams. Now there’ll probably be fans who’ll stop watching who were just fans of only Lebron, Steph, & KD
30 seconds in and it’s already fate Aaron Rogers is MVP
Bradley Beal is the reason why the Suns are not moving up. He makes a lot of turnovers. And he misses a lot of makeable shots. The Suns must trust Allen more.
Nick’s delayed reaction to the Chiefs falling🤣🤣🤣
Why is it so important to Nick that JJ (and Jimmy G) only throws 8 passes in a WIN!! I guess he prefers Dak passing 40 times for 400 yards in a loss!
they are winning with those qbs, not because of them. NFL qbs are expected to throw 30+ times a game. interesting that you cited Dak, but not Brady or Mahomes
because you shouldn't waste draft capital and lots of money when you can just plug anyone in to throw 8 passes and win
those kinds of QBs don't elevate a team. those teams tend to be stacked and elevate the QB. so just plug in any decent QB
Audio too quiet
It’s clear Colin doesn’t watch tennis lol
The NBA also need yo take a page out of the NFL and make their games accessible. I don't have an NFL team but I watch it every week on peacock, Paramount+ and Prime. I don't think any of them shows NBA games.
Fox please! If it too difficult hire me on as an intern. I’d be happy to fix the audio for you! It’s not that hard 😂!
Can Nick count? Aaron Rodgers was the 2020-21 MVP and the 2021-22 MVP.
He had one down year - his final with the Packers (2022-23) and didn’t play this past season, his first with the Jets (2023-24).
His last dominant year (again, MVP) was two years ago (2021-22) not three, and it was due to his 2023-24 injury.
We are in the 2023-24 offseason right now, so only two seasons have been played (2022-23 and 2023-24) since Rodgers’s last MVP.
He lies about every QB who is a threat to Mahomes.
He does the same with Russ. He said Russ was horrible in 2023-24, and that was a lie. He was more than solid, finishing with top-5 and top-10 performances in meaningful stats, and nearly got the Broncos into the playoffs despite Sean Payton intentionally throwing winnable games early on and a few toward the end (notably the Patriots game).
He claims Russ hasn’t been good in 5-6 years, which is categorically false b/c even three seasons ago was 2020-21, when he had a career year and led the Seahawks to a 12-4 record and the NFCw title in a stacked division.
The next year (2021-22) he began by leading the league in passing over the first 1/3 of the season before suffering a gruesome hand injury that required immediate surgery.
He returned prematurely after Geno went 1-3 in his absence but put up great stats considering that he appeared in 14 games but was healthy for only 9 of them due to that injury.
He had a horrific 2022-23 season, but that was due to a perfect storm.
Not only was Russ playing injured (unlike what Mahomes would have done, he kept silent about it), his team was badly injured. Lest we forget the biggest cause: Nathaniel Hackett being grossly unqualified to be a HC.
So, Russ has had one horrific season and two in-Russ but solid, respectable seasons, and other than that put up 9 seasons of pure excellence - even in 2016, when he also played an entire season INJURED!
I can’t respect a guy who uses his platform as a bully pulpit and a channel for misleading narratives and misinformation.
Nick Wright is nothing but a biased blowhard with different agendas.
Turn the F'n volume up!!!!!
This video happens to be my yearly reminder to only watch Colins show when Joel Klatt comes on to teach his son.
I'm liking Nick more & more.
“Suns lose to Spurs” in the title and they don’t say a single thing about the Suns… thanks for wasting 10 mins of my time
What was that tennis analogy, how in the world Djokovic regressed when he is still number 1, fed retired and nadal rank is 652......
The young guys just have to have a playoff moment. That’s when you really become a star.
as amn avid tennis watcher my man has NOT been watching... Sinner and Alcaraz taking the torch
I’ve learned this year, KC is never vulnerable as long as they have Patrick and Travis
I disagree. I think you need more foreign stars like Luka, GA, Embiid in NY, Los Angeles, and Chicago to expand the popularity of the NBA.
The genius of the NFL is that fans care about every team because the NFL promotes much smarter than the NBA. Nobody ever said that Barry Sanders or Justin Jefferson needed to go to NY to drive ratings.
People in those cities already watch the NBA. If you really want the sport to be more popular across the entire US, the smaller markets have to be relevant as well.
That’s an insult to my Sixers! We were sabotaged by a choking point guard for 4 straight years with some poor injury luck thrown in.
men’s tennis is in perfect place lol alcaraz and sinner are the next people to take the torch
Love Nick and Nick with Collin but the spin Nick is putting out there regarding the UM v PSU is not accurate. They knew the could run on them, the right tackle got hurt and they couldn’t protect him even before that. That being said, he’s not a top 4 pick and if you wouldn’t have teams desperate for the rookie qb contract when sans a “franchise qb” it pushes them up the draft board. Probably should be a late 2nd or early 3rd round pick
Harbaugh is smart generating steam for this kid to inflate LAC draft stock value.
Can’t forget about Josh Giddy
that penn state game wasn’t as much JJ not being able to throw, the right guard was just getting dusted every snap, there was no protection from chop
Zach Wilson would never have played for Harbaugh, so the character is very different
Honest question: what's the big deal about have international players be the face of the league?
They have a point. After the Jordan era they went with kobe and shaq and I stopped watching until LeBron.
Naw we good Colin and Nick NotBright. Vikings do your thing take JJ.
The Penn St game shouldn’t be held against JJ. Plenty of analysis on that game shows the RT was getting beat by Chop Robinson pretty easily. They went with the run to stop Chop from having an impact and Penn St couldn’t stop the run so why change what was working. The gameplay dictated JJ throwing 8 times not his skill level.
I’m a massive bills fan and I think the last 4 years have been a failure
Rafi Nadal, Rafa’s Israelí brother😂
It’s only one winner so how Josh Allen pose beat the best every year Smh
It’s not narrow minded because Sean McDermott should have beaten the chiefs maybe twice in the playoffs. He screws up constantly
They threw 32 straight times because they couldn't block Chop Robinson. I don't think he's the 2nd best QB but the reason they didn't throw wasn't because of JJ it was because of their tackle
FLOOD THE COMMENTS WITH FIX THE SOUNDS UNTIL THEY FIX IT!! wtf it’s insane
They had to run the ball against PSU because the OL couldn't pass protect against their DL. Watch the first two series.
Whichever GM and coach draft JJ. Will be fired within two years of drafting him.
Not me as a American liking the international players more and seeing them as the face of the league not Ant 😂 what a joke
Colin should put the Chiefs at 3 just to trigger Nick even more with his hierarchy lol
Fire the person responsible for The Herd's TH-cam content. This (volume issues) shouldn't be happening. I have a 12 year old who literally does better on his TH-cam channel that he films, edits (including adding music, voice-overs etc) and uploads himself, with zero problems.
That is why Bron is the goat
Been feeding people for ages
No Blazing 5 ??
Who is Rafi Nadal. It is Rafa Colin. Wow, his tennis comment was pretty out there. Stick to the NFL and NBA dude.
How you gone project records before the draft, be serious!
Rams isn’t winning without Donald
Fix the audio jesus christ
If the American basketball audience isn’t comfortable with an international player being the face of the league, they’d better get comfortable.
Colin clearly knows absolutely nothing about men's tennis lol
I still don't get how McDermott was still the coach after that 33 second playoff blunder when he is a "defensive coach". He should of been gone the next day.
😂😂😂 They was saying the samething but worser about Tom Brady he came from a good Michigan system as weLL...???????
McCarthy is way smarter and more mentally tough than Zach
Djokovic is still the best men’s tennis player. He’s the MJ and LeBron of tennis. Most titles with the best longevity. I get the comp to tennis with the NBA but Novak is still clearly the best player when he’s on. He will win a few more majors then Alcaraz or Sinner will rise to the top. Not a 100% apples to apples take, CC.
It’s funny watching someone who can barely speak talk so down about an athlete like Rogers.
fire your producer this is insane with the sound
Now to Nick "Wins aren't a QB stat" Wright on how two things can't be true at the same time, and how Josh Allen is only a "good" quarterback.
Nick calls Allen quite good. However, he also sees how Allen is highly erratic from game to game and turns it over more than any QB in the league.
@@jasonjanisewski78 josh allens playoff numbers say otherwise. If he wants to speak on the bills as a collective that's fine, but he can't say "Wins aren't a QB stat" and then ridicule Allen for not winning in the playoffs with the numbers he puts up.
