I'm just now reading Career Dharma, the natural art of work, by Best and Datta, and I am blown away how relevant this book is for today's society. Highly recommended if you are trying to understand your nature and join universal harmony.

Thanks . These are great and very good for sharing. I hope you will do more of these. Hare Krishna. Srila Prabhupada really is the pure representative of Krishna sent to the world to give the full truth of existence. He has blessed us and has also given us the many pure devotees who follow in his footsteps expanding true knowledge and love of God, Krishna throughout the world. After so many life times in this world we are given this top most knowledge about the Supreme Person. Eternally grateful. Hare Krishna.

Jai Prabhupada! So many people try to impose western understanding on Vedic culture.
I love Prabhupada's parable of "Mr Frog Logic". One day a toad hops up to a well and calls down to his friend Mr Frog living at the bottom. Toad tries to describe the ocean to Mr Frog saying that it is water that goes on forever. Mr frog, having only lived in a tiny well his whole life replies "so it is like 10 wells worth of water? 20 wells worth of water?" No matter Toads attempts to explain its vastness, Mr Frog can only understand things in relevance to what he already knows. Varnasrama is completely and fundamentally different from a caste system but most western people are still stuck in a semi-feudalism mindset and can only understand things through such a lense. This is why we must FULLY immerse in the teachings and lifestyle presented by Prabhupada, because it is the only way we will ever understand.
