The answer: Majority of Israelis are originally from Middle East. Minority has European roots .
72%+ of Israelis are 2nd or 3d generations born and raised in Israel.

That's right... so called "Palestinians" - most of them - came to that land in the late 19th and early 20th centuries from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries. Some came from Bosnia (Europe).
To be fair some "Palestinians" lived on that land for centuries. Who are they? Those Palestinians have Jewish, Samaritan, Aramean roots. They were forced into Islam in 7th century by invaders from Saudi Arabia. They were given a choice : Die or convert!
