Im thinking of boycotting every video where he cuts intros... I really do appreciate Simon and his work. For years he's been a constant comfort to me throughout my illness. I find it really rude to pick and choose from your writer's work. And to almost make a joke from it really made me feel bad for Kevin. 😢
I agree. Simon doesn't realize how many people watch his videos specifically because the writers like Danny and Kevin. Is he worried about run time? Because I'm always disappointed by videos under 20 minutes. It's more of a podcast experience for me.
Simons content has always made me the tiniest bit uneasy not knowing how fairly his writers are being taken care of, considering it often seems like they're the backbone of the operation. But moments like skipping the intro feel rude and give me added pause. I have watched every single episode of business/brain blaze, but it was for Danny, mostly. ❤❤

As I stated above he does this on here and now started doing on his pod casts, rather than just having that part edited out he openly mentions HE is bored and will be skipping it. I genuinely doubt it is to do with analytics as one moment he states his longer BB do better than average but then he states next that the YT analytics tell him to keep them shorter. He also pays per word to the writers so them adding more of their alleged lives into it adds more cost. Simon has also stated on here and Twitter that he really does not care what you all think. 100% of you on here could demand he keep them, then above Kevin actually replied to beg you to watch the video and dont worry about it. Seriously though, if he goes on analytics he will do what he wants, it is his channel and as you likely can see he is getting bored with it. I understand your very busy with running all the worlds TH-cam channels so I hope you may find the time to read this and will keep brief. Half of the fun of the Business(Brain) Blaze videos over your other channels is in the casual tone. Most of the rest of it is comprised of the side stories, tangents, anecdotes AND OGBB references from you, and I feel rather importantly, the script's author. I would rather see you make a video for a different channel if you don't want to read the whole thing, (Danny might go a bit overboard at times but that's a different topic). When you skip parts of the script seemingly wantonly, it deprives us potential BB references, and it might appear to your audience as disrespectful to the author regardless of if they care. I felt like this is well. This show just isn’t the same. All the comments about the changes to no scripts and sitting had me thinking “just enjoy the show.” But it’s so far removed from OGBB that it’s no longer the same show. I don’t mind the show it is now. But it’s not OGBB. I feel cheated because I’m invested in Danny/Kevin and their history. I’m having a super low mood today and the intro cut made me click away. I’ll come back later when my mood is better, but the cut intro is an authentic click away for me.

Actually when I heard my friend had committed suicide I was shocked but not really surprised. He'd been struggling with his mental health since his early teens and 'thanks' to his parents discouraging him from seeking therapy, and then when he finally sought help therapy being less than adequate, things were pretty much irreversibly bad by the time he hit 30. In fact, when one of his aunts came to us at the funeral asking "Why would he do such a thing?", my Dad and I just looked at each other with a look of "Did she actually KNOW him at all?" But then, that's pretty much how that family was, I guess. Just quit whining and get on with it, don't talk about your feelings at all.
The real conspiracy is the British trying to convince us Van Gogh is pronounced "Van GOFF". Even Simon couldn't consistently mispronounce it through the whole story.
The “gh” in many British place names is pronounced inconsistently, depending on region and position in the name. A good example is Loughborough, which is pronounced Luffboro. From that you could get Van Goff or Van Go. The gh is also pronounced ck in places too, with Lough being pronounced Lock. On school and on TV when I was a kid it was always Van Goff, and even the famous Doctor Who episode pronounces it Van Goff. Given how much variety in gh there is, I don’t know who decided it was Goff and not the equally legit Go or Gock.

Fully believe the Van Gogh one. There's also the detail of how he left with all his painting stuff and returned without it, and was known to tolerate some local teens who'd mock him (if that's true, this is all just coming from a different video I watched about it).

Does it annoy anyone else when Simon just skips things like the intros. I’ll be honest, when he does that it just makes me want to stop watching because it’s rude to his writers and because I like the intros that his writers make.
Tbh I am finding Simon has become increasingly bloated in his self claimed vanity and ego. He has become increasingly smug, obnoxious, less chilled, opinionated and just unpleasant to watch. He's gone from being quite likeable to incredibly annoying. Makes me laugh how he keeps saying "I'm sort of famous, people know me" which is becoming increasingly apparent; someone has borrowed JoLo line of thinking. Dude, you are not THAT famous. Keep in mind that Vincent shot himself with a blackpowder 7mm pinfire revolver....almost comically weak. Von Bismarck took a full cylinder of 7mm Pinfire from an inept assassin. Most bullets were stopped by his heavy coat and buttons. Von Bismarck then proceeded to beat the living shit out of his would be assassin 😂
I oversimplified for time and ideally comic effect regarding the doctor being a shitty friend, but the issue was that there was no way he'd be able to get the bullet out. So Simon's assumption of infection and sepsis is almost certainly correct. I don't doubt that if the bullet was removed they could've saved him with relative ease

Actually when I heard my friend had committed suicide I was shocked but not really surprised. He'd been struggling with his mental health since his early teens and 'thanks' to his parents discouraging him from seeking therapy, and then when he finally sought help therapy being less than adequate, things were pretty much irreversibly bad by the time he hit 30.
In fact, when one of his aunts came to us at the funeral asking "Why would he do such a thing?", my Dad and I just looked at each other with a look of "Did she actually KNOW him at all?"

That's closer to the real Dutch pronunciation than "Van Go" is.
The “gh” in many British place names is pronounced inconsistently, depending on region and position in the name. A good example is Loughborough, which is pronounced Luffboro. From that you could get Van Goff or Van Go. The gh is also pronounced ck in places too, with Lough being pronounced Lock. On school and on TV when I was a kid it was always Van Goff, and even the famous Doctor Who episode pronounces it Van Goff. Given how much variety in gh there is, I don’t know who decided it was Goff and not the equally legit Go or Gock.

It’s not rooted in anti{whatever minority here}ism, it’s not speculating about the deaths of someone who’s family is still grieving their loss, it’s just a funny little boat theory and anyone who died that day, while tragic, would have been dead by now anyway

I oversimplified for time and ideally comic effect regarding the doctor being a shitty friend, but the issue was that there was no way he'd be able to get the bullet out. So Simon's assumption of infection and sepsis is almost certainly correct. I don't doubt that if the bullet was removed they could've saved him with relative ease
