The Younglings that Anakin killed in Revenge of the Sith.
Jake Blues - The Blues Brothers.
Marcus Brody and Henry Jones Sr.
What about Boy in Striped Pajamas? We didn’t technically see them die
That movie was pretty sad in some parts just because it actually happened during WW2
I’m traumatized for life because of that scene.
But we still know exactly what happened. They got gassed.
Truly terrifying scene.
🥈
That My Girl scene no matter what age will always tear me up 😢
Yup still completely traumatized myself poor Thomas J
Yeah me too
🥉
@@BlackHatCinephile get lost with your spam medals. They are pointless and sad like your bullying
Then as soon as you compose yourself she stands in front of the class and reads that poem. Starts all over
Thomas J Sennett's death was heartbreaking. Especially when his friend was crying out that he needed his glasses at his funeral. 😢
I was in high school when My Girl came out and that death and that funeral scene completely traumatized me. I wept long after I left the theater.I don't know why. I can't ever watch that movie again.
I understand that I once watched Batman V Superman and Superman’s Death Traumatized me Never saw that movie again till the pandemic struck.
That ending in Seven... Absolutely no one saw that coming
"OH, WHAT'S IN THE BOX??!!"
When I was a child My Girl made me ball everytime. From the moment she is told he's dead till after the funeral scene my eyes were tearful, bawling during the funeral scene.
Still does for me
Schindler's List - The Little girl in the red hood. We saw her earlier in the movie & sadly the next time we see her is on a cart with other dead bodies. That still breaks my heart. 🕊🌹🙇🏿♂️
I always wonder why that was the only thing in colour, but all these years later, I know her image of that red coat and her off-screen death stay for so much longer and we also see it from Schinler's point of view and in that moment we the see a good man a monster no longer.
Chadwick Boseman would always be remembered ❤
Tue that
Should have been number one since it was also real life!
@@TheLauren800 indeed 🙏
Vada losing her best friend Thomas J was really heart wrecking for you since they were getting closer. Also in Stand By Me, Gordie hasn’t seen Chris in so long, he never got to catch up before he died
"Put his glasses back on. He can't see without his glasses. He was gonna be an acrobat." I can't believe that they dared to kill off Macauley Culkin in a family movie. Also, poor Vada has to deal with having been indirectly responsible for her best friend's death.
"He can't see without his glasses" gets me bawling every time.
She wasn’t responsible. She didn’t ask him to go look for her ring wth
Either you meant to say "indirectly" or you don't know what "directly responsible" means.
*Leslie’s death from the bridge of terabithia was so sad. Great movie throughout then boom.*
*edit: idk how marvel were gonna handle t’challa’s death at first but it’s even more sad because of Chadwick❤️*
The Bridge to Terabithia was difficult for me to watch. We had a similarly sudden tragedy in my family just a year or two before the movie came out. I hadn't read the book, but I knew the general story because my sister had once ranted about how much she disliked it, so I wasn't planning on watching it at all. Someone had it on the TV at home when I walked in at that scene, and I just broke down.
I'm still somewhat sensitive about kids dying in stories tbh.
I struggled to watch Terabithia because I found it kind of boring. Then Leslie dies out of nowhere and I'm suddenly broken inside. TT__TT
The Bridge to Terabithia was still the most saddest movie for me. At first you will think this is a fantasy movie that kids will love then suddenly it will shatter your heart.
I watched it in the theater with my husband. I had read the book so knew what was coming and started bawling before her death is revealed. My husband couldn't understand why I was crying.
"Marlie and me"...when he lets Marlie go...oh dear god my soul died
My dumbass knew it was a sad movie, I had been well warned, but I chose to watch it for the first time alone the week after a miscarriage. Double gut punches
My girl definitely traumatized me when i was a kid.
Also, I'll never forget Bridge To Terabithia, my gf at the time told me i should watch it. I was just a kid and she knew i couldnt handle children dying, but recommended the movie anyway without warning.
There’s no denying T’Challa’s death was a gut punch to Wakanda.
Surprised Daisy Randone from Girl, Interrupted didn’t get added on to the list, the build up to her death was really heart breaking as well as knowing the fact that Brittany Murphy (her actress) is no longer with us either
Star Trek Generations: Picard learns that his brother and young nephew (whom we saw in the episode “Family”) were killed in a fire at the family vineyard. Picard (at the time) was very devoted to career and never saw the need to have children as Rene was going to continue the family name.
My Girl...so sad bout Thomas Jay. still remember seein it the 1st time
Life is Beautiful is a fabulous movie. And Roberto Benigni's antics upon winning the Oscar were memorable. Another favorite performance from him is Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth.
One of my favorites. So well done.
I am a grown man of nearly 37 years of age, and yet that My Girl scene still makes me tear up. Its a deeply upsetting scene, acted to perfection by Anna Chlumsky and also Dan Aykroyd(amazing comedy actor indeed, but a fine actor in general in drama scenes too).
I was In high school when I watched my girl and that scene made me bawl my eyes out. It still does
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I heard "Bridge to Terabithia" (2007) was based on a true story.. Sad. :(
My Girl will always make me cry. He can't see without his glasses.🥺
Amazing video of the most saddest deaths in movies, fantastic job.
Oh gosh I totally teared up just watching the Thomas J snippet!
The kids and all the citizens dying one by one in the 80s movie “Testament” when a nearby nuclear attack wipes out a whole smal California town from radiation sickness. The main’s daughter and Yoshi’s dad were by far the SADDEST. In fact nobody dies on screen in that movie but by the last shot there’s only three left on VERY borrowed time.
Testament really hits you. Great film, not afraid to say I cried.xx
Rest In Peace Chadwick....Wakanda Forever
When I was a young girl my Mom let me watch the original "A Star is Born" .When Kris Kristoffersons character got killed I broke out in tears .My Mom heard me and said "Are you crying?" ..I let out the biggest "You didn't tell me he died!" Squeal! My family never lets me forget about that night! Probably my first character death I saw!
I've never seen the Lady Gaga version because teenage me got embarrassed because the Streisand one made teenage me ugly cry in front of people. 😂
That's actually the third version
@@kathleenthompson6649 idk that .How many versions were there? Iam amazed this got five thumbs up!
@@charleneinman3625 , one with Janet Gaynor, one with Judy Garland, one with Barbra Streisand, and the last with Lady Gaga
I love what they did for Chadwick Boseman in the opening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Love it
I may have known what to expect after reading the "Bridge To Terabithia" book, but Leslie's off screen death still had me choked up when I watched the movie. 😢
What upsets me most is the bullies. So heartless. Glad he wasn't punished when he attacked his bully after making a rude comment about his friend, Leslie.
My Girl death was the most triggering for myself. Why? When I was only five years old I wondered out in the bushes at a campsite only to stumble upon a wasps nest fallen on the ground I kicked! I received 24 stings and I remember screaming as my mother ran to rescue me. To this day I suffer from PTSD and freak out if a wasp or even honey bee flys by me.
That happened to my sister my dad was beating them off of her I thought he was beating her😂
Similar story here, never saw my dad run so fast and scoop me up to rescue me…
Adrian from Rocky should've been on the list.
Also how did she die?
Cancer
And pauly
These deaths breaks my heart 😢
Great list 👍 Several of those affected me, but mostly My Girl
I really like Wakanda Forever, but this sequel would be so much enjoyable if Chadwick Boseman is still alive.
What's in the box?? One of the most chilling lines in the movie Se7en would prove to be one of the most unforgettable moments in modern film history. It still haunts me to this day. This is one of my top 10 all-time favorite movies. Despite what has happened, Kevin Spacey is still one of my all-time favorite actors. Hands down!!
I am always disappointed that the “wet bandits” from home alone did not use bees!!
I teared up when Leslie passed. Loosing a friend has to be hard
Augustus Waters. Man when Grace starts crying. I lose it!
How is the Lovely Bones not on here ? 🤦🏾♂️
The death of T'Challa should be number one, because his actor Chadwik Boseman ACTUALLY died on illness! 😢😢
Bridge To Terabithia absolutely destroyed me. I was 24 when it came out but it was still one of the saddest movies I have ever seen.
What about Anne Howard in “The Patriot”? Even though we don’t see her die explicitly, nor her body in the aftermath, what happens to her is very difficult for me to watch.
Life is Beautiful is a beautiful and heart breaking film, its a must watch 😢😊❤
Number 5: WAKANDA FOREVER!!!
All I can say is Monte Bella Life is Beautiful one of the best films ever that show the lengths a Father will go to protect his son
Life is Beautiful HAD to be at the top. A parent's job is to protect and shelter their child, and watching him do so until the very end is so heartbreaking.
The girl in red dress from Schindler's List?
I can’t believe Adrian Balboa wasn’t on here
Because this is a list of characters that died *during* movies. Adrian died between sequels.
@@Xone9 So did Newt and Hicks in the Alien series.
My Girl definitely takes #1 for me…
Surprised of no mention of Jenny from Forrest Gump. We learn she's unwell, and we see her lying in bed talking to Forrest, but in the next scene, Forrest is talking to her grave. And I cried for two hours after the movie ended.
I feel some Bridge to Terabithia horror coming.
Bambi's mother.
Ice Man.
Thanks for meaningful and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
Get a Life
@@Slayde.Wilson Does putting Hayeon down make you feel like you're better than him?
@@BlackHatCinephile again , your bullying doesn't make you the better person. It just makes you look like a sad individual. It's more pathetic that you are grown adult bullying people by calling them low IQ or mentally handicapped. When it comes to that, that's just wrong and uncalled for hypocrite.

My girl hit me deeply and i was still a kid
Damn number 1 fucc me up 💯
Bambi?
Well played!
Bridge to Terabithia? This one hurt
Absolutely agree with #1
You forgot Pay it Forward with Haley Joel Osmet. When Trevor died it was like a punch in the guts it was so unexpected. Absolutely broke my heart.
I have a really strong love-hate relationship with the movie lovely Bones😢
that movie is very good it always catches me
Lesile's death from BOT came out of nowhere. It has one of those. "What just happened?" moments.
The off screen death that broke me the most was finch in all the bright places. That one hurt
Atonement will always break me. Finding out at the end from the sister that they didn't survive but wanted to give them the happy ending they deserved
Glad to know black panther was on this one RIP Chadwick Boseman
I cry every single time I watch that scene in my girl. Never fails
In seven when Brad Pitt kills Kevin Spacey’s character, he doesn’t do it out of rage. He does it out of wrath.. get your seven sins straight
3:48. The Bridge to Terabithia death hurt. That is wonderful, but haunting movie.
The thing about Seven is that none of the deaths occur on screen until the very end. It's my favorite horror movie.
That scene in 7 has to be one of the most sadistic scenes in cinematic history!!!
At the end of Boyz N the Hood. Doughboy's walking away from Trey, and he fades away as text on screen reveals he was gunned down several days after the events of the movie.
Leslie's death will always make me cry😢
Marcus McCauley, Homer's brother, in "The Human Comedy." Made in 1943, it was honest in the way the war affected so many.
Boot, Mogli: Legend of the Jungle I knew it was going to be a darker take on the classic tale, but I wasn't expecting it to go that dark never been able to watch the film since.
I bought copies of The Bridge to Terabithia and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants for my daughters. I thought they were sweet movies for girls. You already covered Bridge. I bawled my eyes out in the scene where the young boy learns of his friend's fate. It was the saddest thing I ever saw.
Sisterhood isn't on your list, but there's an off screen death that affects me just as much. A friend group of high school age girls buys a single pair of jeans that somehow, despite their very different body shapes, fits them all. They agree that they would each wear them for a week in the summer when they all go their separate ways, then pass them on to the next girl along with a diary of what they did while wearing them. They all leave their home town but one. That one is a budding videographer who decides to spend her summer making a documentary about the people in their neighborhood. She gets an assist from a younger girl. At the end of the summer, they all meet back up in person and talk about their experiences. It turns out that the young girl that assisted the photographer was terminally ill, and passed away. I am getting choked up as I type this.
That scene, and the thought of a little girl dying, affects me deeply. No doubt, because I am a father to two girls (and grandfather to three more), the thought of anything bad happening to young females just kills me. I have been a soldier, a biker, and I have worked in the prison system. Nothing much scares me. Except the thought of my girls getting hurt, or worse. Even though I own both these movies on DVD, I can't watch them.
Leslie Burke’s death *_gutted_* me (😭).
This Film Saddes in Death in Crying!😭
Kudos for not adding 'The Mist' this time.. 😄
Till all are one 😢
Trevor McKinney from Pay It Forward is always forgotten when kit was unexpected and extremely sad plus you dont see it on screen.
I don't think Tchalla would be categorized as sad in the movie, to me it's more about his life
Yeah definitely when I was a kid the my girl death scene was the first time I cried over a movie death😢😢😢 Back then I was attacked by yellow jackets I always thought after that happened I was going to die like her friend😢😢😢
Charlotte in Charlotte's web is one that really gets me...
The little girl in Red in Schindler's LIst is always tragic!
G Baby in Hardball was a tough one to watch and Binx in Hocus Pocus.
I know I am not the only one who saw the title and immediately thought of Bridge to Terabithia
Rosie’s death in Jojo Rabbit was shocking out of nowhere.
The Hitcher, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Nash get torn apart with a truck but it's just a flash of light
Silkwood you see the lights then you see her grave.
Das boot and the death seen of the uboat Captain at the end should been mentiond
Bhoot from mowgli should definitely be on here... Poor little guy...
The Cure When he put that shoe in the coffin.
My wife lost her mind
What about the girl in red in Schindler’s list
Most of Gordys friends in Stand By Me.😢
I never read Bridge to Terabithia, so that scene where the girl dies hit me like a train. It was bad enough that the titular kingdom was just in their heads, (Never trust a trailer) it just got too real.
As mean as she was but Jenny from Forrest Gump should also be on this list
I thought Carla Jean Moss death was more tragic than her husband’s. You also don’t see her death on screen but you know she is dead after Anton Chigurh leaves the house and checks the bottom of his shoes for blood.
I'm surprised the t1000 had feelings. Thought they were without.
If this list included animated movies, Bambi's Mom would most assuredly be on this list
it was sad indeed.
Leslie's death was the death that really hurt me. I was hoping that she and Jess share a kiss, but that's not what happened. Rest in Peace, Leslie.
