- Angela Kim (soprano) and Richard Fu (piano) work with John Fisher on italian vowels and the purity of the sound and the precision of the accompaniment to help this.
Filmed at Aldeburgh Festival 2018, as part of a series of masterclasses on the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme with John Fisher, Julia Faulkner and Matthew Rose.

Beautiful voice. Know how good you are!
The voice itself demonstrates depth and so far her technique allows her to access expressive shading and color. I hope she continues to successfully develop her sound.
Pianista bravo
FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!
Check out soprano Kasondra Kazanjian
Really beautiful

Great :)
Is this a master class for pianists???
What’s INFIORATO? Maybe someone missed L’ALTARE...
2 versioni
Absolutely no! You can sing “l’altare infiorato” or “infiorato l’altar” but in any case you must say WHAT is “infiorato”. And, the most of all, you must know from which opera come the scene you are going to sing....
She doesn't know the name of the Opera. mygod
If one cannot say the name of the opera or the actual aria, maybe one should wait to perform the aria...?!?!
That’s exactly what I thought
Lazy and unconstructive comments. Obviously, she was a bit nervous. Be more charitable.
John Fisher tells her "gorgeous" "brava", but here some greatest singers disagree...
WHY DOES SHE LOOK LIKE SHE'S POOPING AT 24:04? HAHAHHAHA I dont see that facial expression from Callas, Sutherland or Caballe when they sing Bel canto
Intelligent comments.
Seems to have the right kind of voice for the part, but the technique is still not there. She can't sing a single proper trill, which this last scene is riddled with, and her legato and flexibility also need more work. With some more work, she could be really great!!
She’s impressive. Her vibrato pulses in the wrong direction as she ascends, and her vowels are not as pure and forward as they could be, so I think that she would want to fix those things first. But there’s a lot of talent here, and she’s doing a lot of good stuff already.
The pianist is awful. He has no idea of how the music goes.
Could you do it better?
