Wadi Kabir 1991 Oman: Friday market car auction

An unusually cloudy day in Wadi Kabir. The Friday market drew lots of people and used cars are being auctioned every week. Those cars took a real battering in the 1980s, with few roads and much off road driving even for saloon cars. No wonder the prices are low ! Oh those wonderful days before mobile phones and the internet - this was the highlight of a Friday afternoon !

Souk Al Jumma - this was my Dad's FAVOURITE place to be at on the weekends......the JUNK he bought ..good grief!!........the vege place was awesome though !
