Maybe not. If the orks win then they might develop an addiction to fighting tyranids and leave the galaxy en-masse to hunt down more. Tuska the demon killa is more or less a precident of this, an ork who decided that demons were better to fight than humans and made a beelive straight for the eye of terror.

I think a fix would be to have these fleets be the only ones out there.
Have the Tyranids consume a galaxy, only to end up with nothing to eat. Then, the Tyranids either turned on each other or simply flew out into the galaxy to find something.
Hence, while most of the Tyranid Species are dead in space, there are stakes still in defeating the relatively small numbers: if they can consume an entire galaxy, they will do so to the Milky Way. So they need to stop the Tyranids, or else the cycle will repeat and end with the galaxy lifeless.

I think the necrons gauss weapons use a type energy that speed up the rate of aging thus dismantling the molecular bonds as opposed to truly breaking bonds but the process happens so fast and spontaneous that to the human eye, it looks like disintegration as opposed to forcible ripping apart molecular bonds like plasma or lasers or melta weapons. Something like Eon from Ben 10.

@@MrThatpersonthatguy The Necrons will never be a threat to anyone ever. They will never unite, every Phaeron wants the head of the Silent King. Every dynasty is in war with the other. As for Orks, they are in open belief that the Emperor is indeed a God and nothing can harm him. Over the last 11000 years, every single asteroid, moon, planet in the Solar system has been weaponized. Not counting the literal thousands of warships, millions of Astartes, billions of guards, forge world's running over time, the entirety of the Mechanicus, the world ending DAoT that are hoarded. And this is just the first line of defence. There's also mobile Fortress world's like Phallanx, the Rock, etc. And then you have Terra, with Custodians, Sisters of Silence, Sisters of Battle, a world that has void shields that'll can be replenished for years, able to take orbital bombardment like it's nothing, a moon that has been weaponized. The list goes on and on. Terra is not falling to a "fuck all army" as easily. The only reason the Horus Heracy did so much dmg was because it was basically the Imperium vs it's half. And the traitor half were playing from the shadows most of the time, and even when all out war broke out, most legions didn't know who was traitor or loyalist.
The only ones who are a genuine threat are the Tyranids, but all hive fleets have been destroyed already, and only splinter fleets linger on.

A couple of details that I would like to point out.
1.) Tyranids cannot intentionally make use of the Warp themselves. However, the Warp can still swallow them up in random Warpstorms. Spacehulks are a good example. Even a splinter fleet of Kraken was lost in a Warpstorm only to exit some time later in the path of a Leviathan fleet. The Eldar wiped out the splinter fleet so that Leviathan couldn't receive the data Kraken had with fighting against Eldar.
2.) Kryptman's Gambit involved Inquistor Kryptman wiping out hundreds of worlds and then sending a clutch of genestealers locked in stasis into the Octarius sector - a well-known Ork empire. The genestealers became a psychic beacon to the approaching Leviathan. The ensuing war between Orks and Tyranids then became a never-ending meat grinder where neither side gaining a true advantage over the other. They're still fighting.
3.) Hive Fleet Gorgon isn't a splinter of Behemoth. And 2 Hive Ships (the big ones) survived the initial campaign, so their still around.
4.) And you missed my favorite splinter fleet - The Court of the Nephilim King. This fleet is a surviving tendril of Behemoth that has fought against Imperial Knight houses and even the Dark Angels Raven Wing, and is led by the unique Hive Tyrant - the Nephilim King. These Tyranids spawn an abnormal ratio of larger bioforms in battle instead of the usual endless wave of gaunts.

I get the feeling that the Tyranid lore is following the synopsis of pacific rim very closely. As time drags on, the “Nids” are arriving in the galaxy in increasing numbers and ferocity. In pacific rim, it was calculated that eventually the kaiju would arrive every few seconds. Essentially showing up in groups. Simply put, the time between tyranid attacks is accelerating, and eventually we will see a double invasion, and a triple one immediately after. The tyranids are the very definition of the Hydra Effect. Strike one fleet down and two more arrive to replace it. It’s likely that the tyranids will arrive so frequently, that the final hive fleet that gets a name will be seemingly never ending but in reality it’s many fleets in one. It’s possible that the final fleet will take millennia to destroy. If it can be destroyed that is.

Imagine the endgame of 40k: the scout fleets have been dealt with, but the main tyranid forces start to appear in the galaxy from all sides and above and below the galactic disc, basically unlimited trillions of tyranids fleets, new and old bioforms alike, and guilliman gets a chunk bitten outta him by the swarmlord, leading to a power-up across the entire tyranid race
Then long story short, each faction realise the only way they will survive the tyranids is if they pool their resources, even irks
Hence an imperium-eldar-tau-necron-chaos-ork alliance, with no limit of backstabbing, in a futile final attempt to save the galaxy, especially since the silent king wants there to still b a galaxy left once the necrons wipe everyone else out, chaos understands that tyranids ends warp rifts wherever they go and... well I'm not sure how orks could get convinced to join up

I mean, there's SORT of a justification for it. If you assume that the Tyranids have ruled the Milky Way as a whole is not up to the task of resisting the main Tyranid swarm, then farming the Milky Way for exp by engaging in pitched, losing battles instead of effortlessly stomping them makes sense. The Tyranids hunger for experience, too. They'll win either way, but by sandbagging the Milky Way, they stand to gain more battle experience from the galaxy, especially from some of the potentially more unique opponents, like daemons or Necrons.

This narrative paints an intense and dramatic picture of the Tyranid invasion, describing the vastness of the threat and the desperation of humanity's resistance. The vivid imagery and the use of music and sound effects add a sense of urgency and theatricality to the story. The comparison to a candle flickering in the storm creates a chilling effect, emphasizing the precarious nature of humanity's struggle against the Tyranids. The mention of Space Marines, the Astra Militarum, and the Inquisition further highlights the dire situation and the magnitude of the challenge ahead. And so the gauntlet is thrown! The Tyranids, an insidious collective of alien terrors, now threaten to consume the very fabric of our existence. A storm of cosmic fury rages, as they sweep across the galaxy, an indomitable force of destruction. A battle for the ages looms on the horizon-humanity versus the encroaching darkness. hive fleet timat goes hamWith the arrival of Hive Fleet Tiamat, the galaxy braces itself for the harshest of ordeals. This insidious Tyranid force barrels through the stars with an unbridled hunger, consuming all in its path. No world is safe as the Hive Fleet advances, its monstrous forms sowing chaos and devastation. Humanity, however, refuses to surrender. With courage and determination, they rise to meet the challenge, arming themselves against the alien tide with lasguns and bolters.Good day guys n gal. Alright, challenge accepted! Here's a short story in the Majorkill way of speaking about the Tyranid invasion:
"Picture this, mate: the galaxy is at the mercy of these bloody Tyranids, a horde of alien monsters hell-bent on devouring every living thing in their path. They're like a swarm of gigantic intergalactic cockroaches, but with teeth. We're talking about swarms of these monstrosities charging across the galaxy, munching on planets, and leaving nothing but a barren wasteland behind. And the worst part? They don't even have any cool personalities. Just one big, hungry collective."Here's a continuation in the same style:
"They don't just come for the buffet, they bring their own cutlery, mate. We're talking claws, talons, and those wicked-looking scythes that could slice through a tank like it's a birthday cake. And the worst part? They don't even leave you a doggy bag.
You got these massive Hive Tyrants, strutting around like they own the place, which I guess they do, considering they're about to turn your home into a snack. Then there are the Broodlords, sneaking in like ninjas, all silent and deadly. And let's not forget the Lictors, the Tyranid version of a bloody ninja with better camouflage than your average sniper.
The Imperial Guard's got their lasguns, right? But it's like bringing a peashooter to a tank fight. Sure, you might take one or two down, but for every one you drop, a dozen more are already chewing through your mate next to you.
Then there's the psychic horror of the Hive Mind. It's like every Tyranid is a piece of some cosmic jigsaw puzzle, all snapping into place to create one massive, hungry picture. They don't just fight; they coordinate like they've got some bloody telepathic rugby coach.
And the cleanup? Forget about it. They absorb everything, even the buildings, the ground, the water. They're like a walking, gnashing compost heap, turning everything into more Tyranids. The galaxy's been turned into an all-you-can-eat, and we're the bloody main course."With the arrival of Hive Fleet Tiamat, the galaxy braces itself for the harshest of ordeals. This insidious Tyranid force barrels through the stars with an unbridled hunger, consuming all in its path. No world is safe as the Hive Fleet advances, its monstrous forms sowing chaos and devastation. Humanity, however, refuses to surrender. With courage and determination, they rise to meet the challenge, arming themselves against the alien tide with lasguns and bolters.I feel ya, mate. Them Tyranids ain't playing by the rules, and they definitely ain't got no etiquette. They just come plowing through everything, leaving nothing but a barren wasteland behind 'em. And as for the cleanup, they're like nature's own cleaning crew, only instead of scrubbing things clean, they're turning everything into more of themselves. It's like they're on a mission to make the whole galaxy their personal all-you-can-eat buffet, and we're the main course. Gotta admit, it's both terrifying and kinda gross at the same time.[Upbeat music swells]
Narrator: Brace yourselves, warriors of the stars! Picture this: the galaxy trembles as the Tyranids unleash a relentless assault, an invasion that transcends mere alien hostility. This is a nightmarish tide of grotesque monstrosities, ravenous and unyielding, sweeping across the cosmos like a cataclysmic storm, devouring everything in their path.
These are not your typical invaders! No, these abominations adapt, evolve, and consume with chilling efficiency. Entire worlds crumble under their insatiable hunger, vibrant landscapes morphing into desolate wastelands, stripped bare of life and hope. The very essence of existence teeters on the brink!
But do not dare to lose faith! Humanity stands defiantly, armed with lasguns, bolters, and an unquenchable flame of resistance. The Imperium rallies its might, summoning the indomitable Space Marines, the steadfast Astra Militarum, and the enigmatic Inquisition.
Get ready for epic clashes, my friend! Titans will collide, and the skies will darken with the ominous silhouettes of bio-ships. Will we hold the line against this insatiable tide, or will the Tyranids feast upon the very fabric of our reality?
The battle for survival is only just beginning!
    [Upbeat music fades out]
Now, envision this: the galaxy lies at the mercy of the Tyranids, an insatiable swarm of alien horrors intent on devouring every living soul. They are like a legion of monstrous, intergalactic predators, rampaging through the stars, leaving behind lifeless husks in their wake. With no individuality, they operate as one colossal, voracious hive mind, united in their singular purpose: annihilation.
Stay tuned, for the fight for our very survival is about to ignite! The clash of worlds is upon us!

Tyranids are terrifying because they essentially act as a combination of lizard men and skaven. Apex predators that hard counter chaos that come from great spawning pools and have big toothy monsters, but that also operate as a chittering horde of bodies that can infiltrate and weaken settlements from within. Personally, I like the theory that the Hive Mind is a surviving Old One that created the Tyranids to wipe the galaxy clean to start again. Tyranids store the dna of everything they consume, creating a vast genetic library should be galaxy need to be re-seeded

However, later, they learn that a Tyranid hive fleet is approaching and Titus must help an Inquisitor use a warp project to swallow the hive fleet. Titus, having been in this exact situation before, initially refuses, and tries to have the survivors of the Ork invasion evacuated. However, Titus soon discovers that most of the survivors were taken and killed by a Genestealer cult underground. This cult is unique in that it uses the biomass from both the Orks and human survivors to create a horde of Gaunts and other lower ranking Tyranids all birthed from the planet. Furthermore, with the hive fleet so close to the world, communications are blocked and reinforcements as well as extraction are impossible. Left with literally no other option, Titus reluctantly protects the Inquisitor and allows him/her to use the warp device. It succeeds, and the Hive Fleet is consumed by a Warp Storm. Now with the hive fleet gone, Titus Vox’s for reinforcements and extraction. He, his squad, and whoever was blessed enough to survive all of that take position inside the capital building, and defend themselves from waves upon waves of Genestealers and Tyranids, until finally reinforcements arrive, and everybody is rescued.

Hey majorkill, the fact that you haven’t referred to the hive fleets invading the galaxy as Tentacle Porn on a Galactic Scale is really disappointing to me

When the Silent King, a being who was responsible for wiping out one race of God-Like beings and then shattering and imprisoning another, while waging a far against the perfect living weapon and highly intelligent mage-warriors, is in panic mode over something, you know we're all in trouble.

Guilliman was told about the Tyranids and must have been like, 'THIS is what you have had to deal with?'

It is worth mentioning that there are like 20+ extra hive fleets, but their canonicity is in question, due to mainly showing up in Warhammer Visions and White Dwarf magazines. That being said, some canon hive fleets he didn't mention are The Court of the Nephilim King, Calth strain Epsilon, Cicatrix, Crimson Maw, Miral Rex, Kaetus, and Scitalis.

If there was a warhammer 40k end times scenario you can bet that the tyranids would play a major part in it.

Necrons should take over the galaxy
    They could crush the Tyranids
They don’t rely on warp travel so they could counter the Tyranids shadow in the warp hard and catch the hive fleets in transit and get destroyed by a necron fleet
Also they are made of metal so no biomass

Until the Tyranids find a way to consume what the Necrons are made out of. Also the Tyranids do eat metal. They strip worlds of all biomass which includes gasses and minerals (including metal).
