Contagion on PSP was interesting for sure. Face buttons for first person shooter was rough. Thankfully at that time I was still skilled at GoldenEye and using c buttons
I'll say this as someone that bought 3rd Birthday without knowing what Parasite Eve was... it was first shooter game on PlayStation I ever played and it didn’t disappoint. I'm glad that it was tied to the Aye Brea outfit for Lightning DLC in Dissidia 012. Probably wouldn't have played it without that.
I regularly play Outrun 2006 on my Vita, as having a proper analog stick instead of the nub on the PSP makes an already great game in to an amazing one.
Me and My Katamari - I like the gameplay of the Katamari games, but I don't like the music and I hate that you can't turn it off, or even change the volume. I also hate that the stupid king WON'T SHUT UP!!! I normally read all the text in a game, at least the first time, but after about the tenth text bubble in a row, I just start pressing the skip button. Who thought it was a good idea to put 20+ pages of text in between each level? Dead Head Fred - I love the idea of this game, but I find it frustrating to play. All the encounters with enemies wreck me. I lose like a quarter of my health in each fight, which means I don't last very long. Undead Knights - I liked this one, but I wish the levels weren't so linear. The little bit I played, there was only ever one way to go. It would be great if you had larger levels to explore.
A modded Vita is an affordable and really good way to play PSP games via Adrenaline. With custom firmware, your Vita becomes a PS1, a PSP and a Vita all in one.
I feel like I know what games people like or disliked, and usually I can tell from afar that a game will flop before release. But I don't know why people hate The 3rd Birthday. I'm aware of the original Parasite Eve games since Final Fantasy VIII but never played them so I don't have nostalgia towards them. I can also see how different this game is compared to the PS1 games but you gotta stop and see what they put together with this entry. It looks, plays and sounds amazing! I love the gameplay and the music in this game, I often listened to the soundtrack outside the game. I'm sad that people hate it and that's probably the reason we never got anything Parasite Eve ever since this game.
My list: Coded Arms 1: the only rogue-lite game on the system, basically a sci-fi FPS in randomized dungeons. Great for killing time. MGS Portable Ops: Maybe not necessarily underrated, but definitely overshadowed by Peace Walker. It was Konami and KJP's first attempt at a mainline title on the system, porting over gameplay and assets from MGS3. It unfortunately is kinda clunky and not as cleanly presented as PW, but I believe it has a better story and more engaging boss fights. Too bad it’s not entirely canon anymore. Race Driver 2006: It’s a port of TOCA 2 from PS2, the series that eventually became Grid. That’s right: Gran Turismo isn't the only sim-ish racer on the PSP. While GT looks and plays better, TOCA 2 has LOTS more content. Gun: Showdown: As crazy as it sounds, the PSP has its own Red Dead Redemption-esque game - or rather, a port of a PS2 game that likely inspired RDR. It’s an open-world western with an interesting story and side activities.
I still have my Jeanne D'Arc, it is one of the best strategy games I have played. I also have 3rd Birthday. It sucks. I loved the original PE and PE2, so that was such a disappointment.
This guy makes such good videos but his crappy taste normally ruins it for me, which is why this video is such a surprise! There are a bunch of good- great games here; outrun 2006, crush, Gitaroo man. 3rd birthday is a genuinely terrible game filled with tons of grinding
Don't let the French shame you for mispronouncing their words. You don't see us lecturing Lea Sydoux everytime she takes an English speaking role and butchers every syllable along the way
You weren't kidding. There are some hidden gems that I have never heard of!
PSP is such a great system. Enjoying it loads lately on Vita.
Loved the PSP. It was how I played ff8 vagrant story and FF tactics.
Outrun aged like a fine wine! Tho most of these games look so great even today!
This is such a good list of PSP hidden gems!
Each time I read psp hidden gems I remember playing Dead Head Fred ....
Such a Random Banger My brother bought a PSP that thing was so cool
Contagion on PSP was interesting for sure. Face buttons for first person shooter was rough. Thankfully at that time I was still skilled at GoldenEye and using c buttons
"provide a product and service for me, rather than making me the product"
great video.
PSP still so good, holds up today.

PSPness is only second to PS1ness and third to PS2ness. 😌
Agreed!!!!
Part of why I love the Vita so much!! But with Modding also?!?!?! Whew!!!!
But then again, I loved the PS Vida before the modeling came !
Nis
Ps3nis just don't have the same ring to it 😂
SONY PSP is a monster during its time
a dream come true for game enthusiasts like me ❤
Syn Sophia made Yakuza games?? I knew them for the Style Savvy/Fashion Boutique games.
That's a change in genre
They’re only underrated until the Vultures mention them. Then they’re just rated.
Dude the ff7 Music as a laid back jam is so dope
Haven't played FF7 in years, but the background music sounds like it's from Age of Empires 2?
I regularly play Outrun 2006 on my Vita, as having a proper analog stick instead of the nub on the PSP makes an already great game in to an amazing one.
Downloaded it but not tried it yet.
Great Stuff!
The 3rd Birthday is a freakin' good game.
I was waiting for Metal Gear Acid, but I guess those apparently aren't hidden gems. Makes sense due to the franchise's popularity
I don't care what anyone says
The 3rd Birthday is one of the best PSP games I've ever played
The 3rd Birthday, Chili Con Carnage and the Warriors are the best games I have played.on the Psp.
Jeanne D'arc just saw a PS5 re-release, and it's seemingly doing quite well!
I see Gitaroo Man, instant like

Undead Knights was so sick
kenka bancho is goofy fun. wish we got the other games
Had never heard of this. Will have to try it out.

I think Crush looks really cool. I'm gonna fix my Vita and see if I can play it on there.
I will die on this hill, but Kingdom of Paradise was awesome.
Absolute underrated gem of a psp title. Loved crafting your own combos

PSP time with the Vultures
We need a Cultured Vultures and Falcon from Gameranx collab! There I said it
Yesssss

@@CulturedVultures thanks for the fast reply. and wow they got very good albums!
Black Rock Shooter from PSN for ENG translation.
If anyone interested I am working on a hd texture pack for Yakuza black panther which I hope to have released by Christmas
I emulated Yakuza black panther
does this ever stop? this is the 23th psp hidden gems video i've seen today
It will stop when you complete The 3rd Birthday
@@CulturedVultures😂😂 at %100 and no hacks or glitches
I still have my Jeanne D'Arc, it is one of the best strategy games I have played. I also have 3rd Birthday. It sucks. I loved the original PE and PE2, so that was such a disappointment.
Am I hearing a Skyrim remix song in the background?
Remember japanese highschool kids play a lot of video games.
I don't know if I should feel either shocked or appalled that you compared 3rd birthday to the masterpiece that is Deadly Premonition? For shame sir!
Psp is the best portable console ever!
I love The Third birthday. Only simps hate it. Whining about the shower scene. What kind of man complains about that.
This guy makes such good videos but his crappy taste normally ruins it for me, which is why this video is such a surprise! There are a bunch of good- great games here; outrun 2006, crush, Gitaroo man. 3rd birthday is a genuinely terrible game filled with tons of grinding
Chili Con Carnage
Katamari, outrun 2006, yakuza a hidden gems? O . o basically from 3 to 7 is all filler
why add chapters to the video if the chapters dont include the game title smh
Don't let the French shame you for mispronouncing their words. You don't see us lecturing Lea Sydoux everytime she takes an English speaking role and butchers every syllable along the way
Not really hidden gems, they're pretty common titles.
Your video views are all over the place. Not much rhyme or reason since they’re all bangers.
handheld stuff is always a much slower grower for views!
Why?
Why not?
@@moroseloki1912 the games could be a waste of time... People have deforent taste and likes
psstp
these games look fkin terrible
Shut up
