@changingways28 In the context of a championship, the absence of accurate officiating can have significant consequences, potentially costing teams the opportunity to secure the championship title. While it may be easier for individuals not directly involved to remain composed, for those actively participating, the stakes are considerably higher and the outcome carries greater significance.
It's always up to the refs if or when they call an official's timeout for a review AND that really fcking sucks. Every play under the L2M should be reviewable without a need for coach's challenge. It's clutch time, it's best to have calls be 100% correct.
The other ref actually saw from the ball angle what was going on. During the kicked ball play there was only one ref watching from behind Brunson, no other ref could confirm it. It’s that simple, but this isn’t even close to the reason the Pacers lost. That second half was a complete choke
It wasn’t a double double dribble n that foul was technically a foul… Yes I agree let them play but play fair n call a fair game.. This is the Playoffs.. 💪🏽💪🏽 Man tf up 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 Like Shaq said MJ n Kobe n Larry got fouled all the time.. they ain’t cry about no fouls… that shyt made them better ……
The pacers shot 10 of 17 from the free throw line and the knicks shot 18 of 22 including 2 techs on the coach. So what calls were the Knicks getting that the pacers weren’t. Without the techs we only shot 3 more free throws. What is he complaining about
Not even close, when Brunson was out, the Knicks only trailed by 10 or whatever at one point. Immediately, fouls start getting called the Knicks way, momentum shifts and all of a sudden Brunson is back in the game and the Knicks are in the lead by a few scores. Let both teams play, remove the refs except for the blatant fouls and then lets see who wins. Too much throwing a monkey wrench in the Pacers momentum or anyone's momentum for that matter and they are going to go on dry spells. Why is it every time the Pacers foul, the Knicks get to shoot a free throw, but when the Knicks foul, the Pacers just get to inbound the ball from the sideline???? It's ridiculous that a player like Shaq (who's 7 foot tall who can dunk and shoot over anybody) wants to say good players warrior through tough situations when he had a whole squad behind him. Case in point other teams have to foul him because he has a legendary squad. The Pacers are far from being a Championship team, but also they need to be given a fair chance to play the game, just like many other teams from the past. Look at the Pacers Heat series, it was the same story, if the Pacers breathed on Lebron the refs called a foul. All this foul calling takes the fun out of even watching the game, it's a complete waste of time and there's no reason to even watch it. So if the NBA wants a captured audience all they will get is a certain teams audience watching so there ratings will go in the toilet as I'm sure they have.
Knicks made more free throws then the pacers took because of the end fouls and the double tech the other coach got in the end. Otherwise it was pretty even
Knicks only took 3 more free throws than the pacers Saying “the Knicks made more free throws than the pacers took” -Ernie is extremely disingenuous reporting because it gives the wrong impression about the officiating. Only when the Knicks win do the media come together like Voltron to say the refs are helping them. Because they the over arching theme is supposed to be “the Knicks lose”
I saw the first one, and was like "oh I understand what carlisle is talking about" and yea, players sometimes push people in the back to mess up their rebounds (it should be a foul, but it definitely happens, and I've seen lots of times where it's really blatant and doesn't get called) this foul, Hart actually kind of pushed Haliburton towards where the rebound ended up going but the second push to the back was in the open court just below the top of the 3 point line, I dunno how every ref missed that one
@@yetisk9226They literally were in both games you'll just like that stupid narrative, the only bad call was the kick ball other than that, both teams had missed calls as shown on the 2MR 👍🏿

I agree with Shaq. He could have snapped one hundred times. The whole hack a shaq trend almost ruined the game. And watching LeBron in his rookie year, he would literally drop the ball and "touch up" a defender at the rim, knowing he was going to get fouled.
I just wonder if his height would work against him I don't really watch hockey, so I don't know how Zdeno Chara did, but I know his team beat the Leafs a billion times in a row :( (and a few days ago) also Shaq has so much mass, if he ever gained speed it's a lot of momentum to deal with I think I heard Shaq at his heaviest was 400 pounds thats a lot of weight with a lot of height

The Knicks for one haven’t been good for 20 years , they’ve been the laughing stock of the league and if the nba really cared about big markets and Knicks are the biggest of them all they’d would have gotten the 1.1 draft pick atleast once in those 20 years of misery
@@kins6809The Dallas metro area has over 8 million people and is the 2nd largest tv market left in the post season behind New York.
There are more people in DFW than all but 13 states.
DALLAS, Boston and New York City are not small tv markets at all.
I even said this too. NYC/Boston is just gonna sell more tickets then Indiana/Boston. What indy fans are traveling to Boston? Not many... NYC and Boston are basically neighbors. Remember the NBA is a business first. Sell tickets
They used to. The only small market team that's ever won an NBA championship is San Antonio. In the early 2000s the NBA blatantly kept Indiana, Portland and Sacramento from winning the championship. It's clearly obvious that the NBA brass Always looks out for the Celtics, Lakers & Knicks
The NBA wanted a Lakers vs The Celtics or the Knicks soooo bad.

It’s just as bad or even worse than the NFL.

Man can we just play basketball and stop complaining smh
Ehhhhh normally I’d agree with this but the officiating in game 1 and 2 has been something different.
That “kick ball” changed the entire game, took it from pacers getting a possible transition bucket to the Knicks hitting a 3. Carlisle been coaching a long time and has not had a history of this.
Lmao. Chuck, you're a national treasure. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm a go to sleep laughing at Shaq telling David stearn hey man they fouling me a bit hard .. 😂
So he basically saying the games are rigged for more money yeah i believe that i mean he did say he thought the refs would favor him in this 2nd game lol.
It's so annoying to hear people in the NBA cry about refs after every game...
He should be mad they missed 7 free throws
They might have deserved this loss however let's not ignore the officiating problem is huge in the NBA. To say it doesn't exist is false
@@jacobmcklowski4428 I've been watching the NBA for 20 years and the only thing that has stayed the same is how much people cry about the refs.
@@changingways28you have watched for 20 years yet absorbed nothing lol. I mean, I can pick up a new sport right now and know more than you watching 20 years because you have to use your head to learn.
Missed a whole big man!😂
i don't understand how the refs overturn the double dribble but not the obviously bad kicked ball call
It's always up to the refs if or when they call an official's timeout for a review AND that really fcking sucks.
Every play under the L2M should be reviewable without a need for coach's challenge. It's clutch time, it's best to have calls be 100% correct.
The other ref cleared it. In the first game the other ref didn’t see it.
The Knicks were gonna win regardless. HUSH...
What is Shaq talking about? Luka gets fould on every play including before and after the game! He can tell you himself! 🙄🤨😅
The pacers shot 10 of 17 from the free throw line and the knicks shot 18 of 22 including 2 techs on the coach. So what calls were the Knicks getting that the pacers weren’t. Without the techs we only shot 3 more free throws. What is he complaining about
Yeah everyone knows ft differentials aren't that wide generally, unless your team is playing the lakers then it's 8 vs 5.
Once again, real analyst would have pointed that out instead of letting a dumb irrelevant narrative stand.
@@jperkins1269 it’s Knicks hate that drives chuck an shaq
Bro complain about game 1 is valid game 2 was pretty evenly called
3:15 your not a 50% either 😂

@Krowsnose. I’ve always felt Jim Boeheim looked like Bernie Sanders too😂😂😂😂
Knicks made more free throws then the pacers took because of the end fouls and the double tech the other coach got in the end. Otherwise it was pretty even
Shhh stop spitting facts
When there are real analysts, someone would have pointed that out and not let an irrelevant narrative stand.
Knicks only took 3 more free throws than the pacers
Saying “the Knicks made more free throws than the pacers took” -Ernie is extremely disingenuous reporting because it gives the wrong impression about the officiating.
Only when the Knicks win do the media come together like Voltron to say the refs are helping them. Because they the over arching theme is supposed to be “the Knicks lose”
To be precise they took 5 more in this game and 7 more in the previous one
Can Shaq ever do any analysis and make a comment without making it about himself. 💤
Nope. All about himself
I agree with Carlisle, that was a foul. And if the refs awarded 9 free throws for that, he has a point.
Dang Josh Hart pushed TH in the back twice in that one sequence… needs more attention
I saw the first one, and was like "oh I understand what carlisle is talking about"
and yea, players sometimes push people in the back to mess up their rebounds (it should be a foul, but it definitely happens, and I've seen lots of times where it's really blatant and doesn't get called) this foul, Hart actually kind of pushed Haliburton towards where the rebound ended up going
but the second push to the back was in the open court just below the top of the 3 point line, I dunno how every ref missed that one
Knicks should send in video of missed calls as well
Cheaters

McConnell had his hands all over Brunson every time he brought the ball up. The whistle was balanced

I agree with Shaq. He could have snapped one hundred times. The whole hack a shaq trend almost ruined the game. And watching LeBron in his rookie year, he would literally drop the ball and "touch up" a defender at the rim, knowing he was going to get fouled.
No mystery the league wants the knicks to go as far as they can. It’s all about money. Always has been.

7 games, 7 different sets of referees. Play better next game Indiana. Don't be baby.

You don’t get calls on the road…. Unless you’re the Lakers😂😂😂 Lakers shot 35 fts to 6 fts on the road at San Francisco last year in game 1 of the WCSF 😂😂😂
Warriors hack bron and AD in the paint by design. Warriors not getting fts shooting jump shots and floaters. Kept it general but if you actually know anything about basketball play style… discrepancies mean nothing out of context of paint/drive shots attempts
@@anand13 doesn’t change the fact that LA GOT CALLS ON THE ROAD. Can’t shoot nearly 7 times as many fts as your opponent if you not getting calls. I’ve never seen a ft discrepancy like that in all my years of watching basketball, especially not one that favored a road team IN THE PLAYOFFS. It wasn’t on fts as we have already discussed the fact that they shot 6 for the game, we discussed the fact that 20 3’s only account for 60 points, that means all that’s left are midrange baskets and points in the paint. Now I know a lot of you laker fans get real defensive when people talk about your team shooting fts, but a spade is a spade, the refs favor that team period.
