    Breaking the rows into two sections is a great idea for spreading out the people coming to pick and make sure that all the berry rows are regularly picked.

    Do you use any pre-emerge? If so do you just spray row middles or all of it?

    • @farmerdre1
      @farmerdre1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't, the issue with pre emerge is it need to be applied 14-28 days before planting depending on the chemical, I know Chateau works good, but 28 day before planting. Dual magnum, prowl, h20 all good for strawberries

      Thanks my man. We did an acre of you pick last year. First year and didn’t use a preemerge. Deer got into them and poked holes all in the plastic. Needless to say we spent many many hours pulling grass and weeds. You spray Poast on your row middles sometime later winter or early spring?

    Would you share what your fertilizer strength is and amount per acre?

    • @joshh9090
      @joshh9090 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best recommendation would be to never just follow someone's fertilizer plan. Soil test, talk to your local agent and then talk to your fertilizer company. Plus if we are talking about me, it switches rates and products a few times a year and some crops are slightly different rates.

    Give thanks for your insight, but why you need grass? Why not keep the dirt or use mulch? Just asking I was asking my self that as I was checking out some other videos you did, and now in this one you said you spread seeds! Smh I thought it was natural grass from the property lol!!

    I have to assume that your Florida 91 tomatoes did not do well since you will not talk about them.Never plant on top of plastic that has been previously planted.
