My father-in-law loved spending time with Ed Fowler. Looking forward to continuing the journey!

@@80saddict79 The storm is .5" shorter and kinda trash, honestly. Its decent as something between 3" and 3.5" xm18, but I don't think you've ever handled a full track (or any Hinderer, really) if you think the storm is comparable.

Hinderer knives are great. It's hard to choose a favorite. In this video, only by a small margin, I pick the Flashpoint. It has an Amish leather scabbard, quality materials and a great EDC size.
One night I heard some clicking under my bed and it looked like my Cryo and Cryo 2 were going at it. Nine months later I've got this tiny little ember cooing for copy paper to cut.

I literally had a countdown clock on my phone leading up to the first week of April. I've never owned a Hinderer but I've got my eye on an XM-18 for the future! Great work, my man!

Great to see Rick himself presenting his new offerings. One day I will treat myself to one of his fine knives, but atm, they are just a bit too pricey for me to justify the expense. Great investment though, as his knives maintain and sometimes appreciate in value.

Blades Canada has had them for weeks/months. You'll pay a little more for shipping back to the states, but if you want an XM or an Eklipse, they have them.

I own a hinderer and I love it but when he says he wanted a knife he can take apart and clean @14:00 why did he make it so you need multiple tools to do so. It doesn't make sense to me. Still love the knives.

@@shaggy_e210 In what way are XMs customizable that the 0562 isn't? Scales are readily available everywhere, and MXG makes a fantastic set of Ti hardware. Not to mention, it wouldn't take a whole lot of customization to get more into a "budget" version than the cost of the standard one. Sounds like you want a pretty knife made of crap materials. No shortage of knives in that department.
Jimping….the saw tooth jimping is what keeps me away from Hinderer and others such as Spartan. I guess it’s great for people who wear gloves frequently and use knives. I have need for this feature .00001% of the time. Without gloves using the knife during hard use - that jimping becomes a net negative. The jimping on the Jurassic looks much more tame. That knife might actually be a first Hinderer for me. “Dear American Knife Makers….please….stop….with the over aggressive jimping….please.

I have yet to even see an XM 18 for sale anywhere in the past year. I think they might be like Bigfoot, talked about but never seen.
There were plenty released on the last year. Secondary market is almost a better choice anyway, especially for 18s

YES!!! Knife laws are soooo all over the map that not even law enforcement really understands everything. We need uniform laws across the country.
