Also one of few goth bands I’ve seen that weren’t a crushing disappointment live: honestly feels like they love what they do, they care about our experience of them, and that translates incredibly well on stage. I got to see them play in Chicago in 2019 at Thalia Hall. We we're walking to the venue and passed the band on a crosswalk...it's like it happend in slow motion, I couldn't believe it. Then later before the show in one of the bars in the venue, Ronny walked right past me and brushed my shoulder in passing. It was a great night. I also got their bands logo tattooed on my forearm right before the concert.
I've been listening to this amazing band since 1989 when I was in Highschool and they still amaze me to this day, thank Goth Couple for a great interview.

Yeah honestly think most people preferred that than the modern streaming age because while it was more physical work, it felt more rewarding. I think Ronnie's only regret is not printing more 😅

This is a great interview. I like Xymox almost as much as I like The Cure. The revelation of the name origin makes it all the better and Moorings' friendly and conversational affect for the interview ought to be an example to any and all artists or any kind. This is the dude that will explain to you how he composed and recorded any song you ask about and I love that..
So, I first listened to Clan of Xymox through a CD compilation and heard the song Muskavet Mosquito. (Pardon the bad spelling.) I fell in love with their sound and dove into their music. Absolutely love their sound! Here's a bit of a sad tale. So, I had purchased tickets pre-plandemic in March of 20. I held onto my tickets and eventually gave up two years later. I then got a notification from Stub Hub that they were back at Respectable Street in WPB FL and couldn't reprint my original tickets. I was really hoping to see them live as they hadn't been there since 91'. A bit frustrating but, I hope I have the opportunity to see them soon. Ronnie seems like such a down-to-earth kinda guy. So glad you guys interviewed him. 🕸️🦇💀

when i form my band will lynn come up and play drums so we can pull a spinal tap and transition to a drum machine? we can have a mock funeral for the pile of dust left. it can be placed in a coffin on the stage then after we all mourn and the stage lights are cleared you can emerge from the coffin un-dead.

They probably will never play any of the songs from Limbo live now that it topic it was discussing is supposedly behind us. I heard a couple of live recordings of Lockdown, which sounded great, and I think How Long and The Great Reset would have sounded great live. But the main reason I wanted to comment is because what Ronny is saying about his anger during that time is exactly what I was feeling as well then, and I have to agree with his sentiment that, no, we can't just move on from it and "forgive and forget." Ronny, if you happen by here and read this comment, I just want to say to you that I wish I could have been your neighbor around that time. I have a feeling you, me, and some others I know would have been venting a lot, but having some good times in spite of it. If anything, if Ronny was in my neighborhood, I certainly would have used having a musician friend to have some loud "illegal gatherings" to piss off my Karen neighbors, and maybe even start my own Speakeasy and made a few extra $$$.
