    That clip of meditation had us rolling!! 😂
    We are so glad you had a great time overall and experienced the cabana as they are such a good buy on Ascent and Beyond! 🥳

      Nothing like a good ol fashioned tanning class! Whenever I want to get away and relax, I’ll definitely be looking at the edge class🚢

    The Ascent is amazing. We have sailed twice with one coming up. This is the next level compared to mass market lines.

      So jealous you’ve been on her twice, definitely above the average cruise line!

    How many Celebrity ships have you been aboard? Just curious. How far back do you go with this line? Cruise ships are always personal as to what is best and desirable and such. How much time you spend in a particular area and what you are looking for will determine what you like. I like none of the Edge class ships personally. The Ascent probably improves some things but adds a for-pay rental area of a private public space. But it still has the infinity balconies which are polarizing, the ship within a ship concept that allots the front of the ship to suite only passengers so there's no forward facing lounge like on the previous class Celebrity ships. Eden is still kind of between a relaxing area and a performance space so you still have to get there early to see a show if that's why you're there. The Club is still a tight feeling area for some of its activities. And it still lacks the intimate spaces and the classy lounges of previous classes. So, if you like the contemporary decor and the feeling of the Grand Plaza, the variety of the restaurants, the high tech theater, Eden, and some well done deck areas, then it is for you. Want more intimacy, a variety of lounges including a forward facing observation lounge, real balconies in your staterooms, then maybe Edge ships aren't for you and the Solstice ships are. I prefer the Solstice ships by far.
    For me nothing beats the Celebrity Century class ships. 3 very different sister ships with very distinctive personalities. That's just not the case with the Millennium, Solstice or Edge class ships that have many very similar areas. And, for their time, they were just as contemporary and forward looking and tech advanced as the Edge ships currently are. But, they also had classic, romantic areas the Edge ships lack. Their staterooms had real balconies and no part of the ship was off limit to any passenger (except crew areas). So best Celebrity ship ever, IMO, the Galaxy of 1996.

      I’ll be honest this is the first celebrity ship I’ve been on in years, I’ve done a few pre 2008 including the Zenith, Mercury and Galaxy. I have mixed feeling about the larger class of ships because I do like the the more intimate spaces and personalized service which doesn’t really exist in modern cruising unless you do river cruises or smaller luxury ships. The ship within a ship is just the industry standard now with MSC, Norwegian, and Celebrity all doing it.. I don’t like reserving half the ship for those guest but if you have the money it seems like the consensus is it’s totally worth it. If I ever have the money for that I’ll give it a try. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, very insightful!

      @@BoatBreakersNJ Problem with ship within a ship is you can get a more personalized experience on a lux cruise line for the same money. The cruise lines can get away with charging a lot more when the ships are new or fairly new. After the new class becomes the previous class, they may not be able to. I'm interested in the Sphere class of Princess and whatever follows HAL's Pinnacle class to see if they move in that direction. I hope not. I have no problem with perks for suite passengers and loyalty passengers, however.

    Just did a Transatlantic cruise on the Ascent from Ft. Lauderdale to Canary Islands et. al. Food was great. Live entertainment in the lounge areas was way too nouveau and cringeworthy. The average age of the passengers was at least 70 + and Caucasian. No more than 6 children on the whole boat. Passengers not overly friendly or approachable. Maybe it was an age thing. Saw an incredible number of walking canes, electric scooters and Rolexes. The ports of call saved the trip from complete boredom. The cabin attendant drove us crazy trying to get in to make up the room. Hard to relax due to that. Not much to do or see on the boat. Apart from the Fitness Center there was one Pickle ball court.

      @BoatBreakersNJ  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Transatlantics usually are an older crowd because of the length of time they are, younger people aren’t taking a two week cruise at a time. Thanks for sharing!

      As I recall, envy has been one of the "Seven Deadly Sins" within Christian dogma since 600a.d. Maybe it's an age thing.

    Awesome review Kyle!! Makes me excited to try! I love a relaxing vacation but will miss the water slides and putt putt. The food sounds amazing! I would love to be able to walk in the casino without coughing. @Hoggtyed4004 said wouldn’t it funny if they gave you Carnival towels to take at ports😂 So people would know you were a cheap tourist. Was room service free or at a fee? That seafood extravaganza looked awesome! Our first Princess ship had that including crab legs, but on our second one, they didn’t offer it, budget cuts.
    Lastly, a “tanning class” would be a great activity name!

    • @BoatBreakersNJ
      @BoatBreakersNJ  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hahhaa the towel idea is hilarious. They also had crab claws at the buffet here! Room service was a flat rate of $10 and you could order as much as you want.

    That app sounds cool, unlike the piece of shit MSC app which forces you to reboot your phone when you get on/off the ship and change wifi locations.
