14:59 That marking usually means it’s a second hand part from a Breakers/Scrapyard. Usually a sign the previous people tried to get the misfire fixed. Get some New Coils & Plugs and I reckon it’ll be good.👍

Congrats on 100k. Try code reading when cold, and look at live data. It’s probably not generating enough misfires to log them. The coil with red writing on is from a breakers, the other three are copies. If you can afford 4 OEM ones go for it

I’ve been a mechanic for 15 years and i have seen some brands over the years where they have missfired but don’t show codes for coils . And it’s turnt out to being coils . For price of them imo stick 4x new coils in a new set of plugs and see how it runs

Just had this on my fiesta. No codes at all. I think the amount of misfires wasn't enough to reach the treshold for throwing a code.
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing! But make sure you get the CPs from Kia themselves. It'll be more expensive to change all four, but it's better to do that.

Your scan tool should be able to show live data about misfires on each cylinder. Have a look and if there's any with a misfire, swap the coil from the bad cylinder to another one and see if the misfire follows it. If it does then it's a bad coil. If it doesn't then it's most likely a bad spark plug or injector.

I reckon that OEM coil pack is arcing to the block where that silver bit is. They should be insulated all the way down and that looks like bare metal.

You should glue/bond the 2 gazebo’s together were they push together otherwise when it’s pissing down it’ll poor down between them and you won’t be able to use it.

I don't think your misfire issue is coil pack or plug related mate.
As you said you would usually get a fault code which would either relate to a specific cylinder in which case it would be coil, plug, injector, compression or wiring on said cylinder.
What you would do then is swap 2 coils and see if the fault swaps.
Then you'd swap 2 plugs and see if it moves.
Then you'd listen to the injector clicking ( place a screw driver on the injectors and use it like a stethoscope).
Then if that didn't get answers you'd compression test.
Then you'd check voltages at injector and coil connectors.
If your code was for multiple cylinders or randomly moved between cylinders without swapping components Then it would be related to something that controls fuel/air (MAF or MAP or O2 sensor) timing (CAS, PTU), or temperature related I.e. air/fuel ratio and timing are adjusted for a cold start based on readings from coolant temp sensor. This is a possibility. But you'd expect a code.
However here's the thing, the turbo bypass valve diverts air back into the intake after the MAF sensor like a blow off valve, but that vents to atmosphere instead.
So because the MAF has read the amount of air entering, the ECU knows how much fuel to add to that amount of air. But the ECU is also expecting the amount of air the turbo bypass valve is returning so compensates for this. But because the turbo bypass valve is faulty its going to get the air / fuel mixture wrong which will cause random misfires.
Replace / fix the turbo bypass valve first, I'd say that's the cause of your misfire.

Well done mate. With regard to the Kia, I think you might have a wiring fault on the loom for the coils. Someone has been chasing that fault and been replacing coils. Failing that, look at the injector seals.
Them coils are no good 4 oem and it’ll be ready to rock I think
