You can ride this in the worst weather conditions imaginable and it'll perform like a champ! I suppose it might short-out if you used it for underwater cycling, but these dynamos and lights are designed for daily use in Northern Europe which has some of the crappiest weather imaginable. I've used a side-mount dynamo on a daily commute bike for more than 3 years (including in single-digit Colorado winters) with zero problems.
@carlos45703030 This particular dynamo (HR Traction Control) has a rubber running wheel, and gets awesome traction, even in the rain. It also has a great deal of less drag than those old dynamos, which existed when tires had dynamo groves molded into them. Glad you liked the vid.
Yep, HUB dynamo have more advantages than bottle dynamo. But it is more expensive, havier, and you can not turn it off from wheel if you want. SON hub dynamos are the best in my opinion, axa basta accessories are very good quality-because they are made in Europe, not China. Even the BM accessories (lamps, dynamos, others) are excellent too!
@metro2002 Hub Dynamos are pretty cool, and more expensive. The HR Traction Control dynamo in this video has a special rubber running wheel and gets great grip in the rain and the cold. It can run on the side of the wheel or tire. I have it setup on two bikes, and it works great in both positions during heavy rain. We use to sell the Basta Quatro Dynamo but it wasn't very good in the rain, and only for a few dollars more you can get the HR Traction, which has fantastic performance.
Hello, We don't understand your question. Are you asking about the FB Mounting Bracket? Or are you asking if we can ship this to Mexico? Yes, we can ship to Mexico.
I have a dynamo with only one connector, is that the plus and the housing minus? I tried it with a 0.6W bulb from a bike light and it wouldn't work one way or the other. Is my dynamo not ok or?
Hi Ivica, Hard to answer your questions without more information. It sounds like you are using an old dynamo that uses the bicycle frame to complete the connection. I don't know if your dynamo is broken or if there is some other problem. However, if you ARE using such an old dynamo, I suggest getting a new one. The new ones have MUCH LESS drag and work more efficiently. If you want to proceed with your existing dynamo, please send a picture to our info email.
You can bolt the dynamo to the fork, but why would you? You'd risk weakening the fork and you'd have to be sure that you mounted it in the right spot first time out. Far better to use the CS bracket. This allows you to adjust the position of the dynamo to optimize performance.
@uSee218 The short answer: It's all up to personal preference and your wallet. Abridged answer, full answer is too long for TH-cam comments: Side Running Dynamo * Cheaper * Light weight * Disengage to stop producing electricity and reduce drag * Easy to install * Hangs off side of your bike, can get knocked around Hub Dynamo * Is vastly more expensive * Heavy, always creates drag * Self contained, very low maintenance for you * Lights need on/off switches (more expensive)
@CrazFilmz Cool man. I have a friend the has the Cyclops C18MIL-FE Thor X Colossus (and replaced the stock bulbs with two Seoul H4 55 watt 6000K Xenon HID bulbs -- talk about sun beams in the middle of the night) mounted to his bike, weights like a ton. Total maniac that guy. For me personally, if I'm going to get around under my own power, I want to light the night under my own power. Just personal preferances...
Can you guys ship to Pakistan? im really really in the need of the FB Bracket... Is their any way anyone can ship it to me.. ill pay the shiping costs and every thing..
