Takao Suzuki is a Serve&Volley Master. Truly top class. Clean, crisp, sharp. Only a few years younger than me but still maintaining so fit and strong.

Notice the coaches body language with their racket never dangling during explanations. They look so engaged and friendly.
I remember the exciting match against Federer in Tokyo. Takao san almost pulled it off.

I was waiting for this video. I love to serve and volley but it's a dying art. So I enjoyed the tactical tips given, as well as the mental tips too. Love the series and also the subtitles too

Great lesson. I think that many young players should learn to volley and to serve and volley. Last UsOpen, Zverev had many chances missed in the net against Thiem. That could have been the difference.

Not sure about the fatigue part. Serve volley requires full effort, every serve, every return, every shot. Fault, missed return, pass.. Whatever even easy put always require a lot of effort to get to the ball before an easy shot becomes a hard one.
Standing three quarter court and whipping winners of weak returns requires little effort and no effort after misses. Long rallies require quite a bit of effort.
Win or lose the points will be short serve volley. But there is a lot of constant, explosive effort involved. Maybe in balance it will be less effort than grinding out rallies every point. And I'm not sure it is somewhere to go to if you fatiguing. You need to be sharp.
But... What do I know? Not much. Great channel. I enjoy it a great deal. I got a couple of half Japanese kids and great respect for the people. Doesn't hurt my Japanese to listen either.. Wouldn't be much good to me without the subtitles however
