- Former student activist, Mcebo Dlamini, has accused the ANC of failing to appoint competent leaders. Dlamini spoke as the party gears up for its 55th national conference, where President Cyril Ramaphosa and former Health Minister Zweli Mkhize are vying for the ANC presidency position. The two are both faced with controversial scandals dominating the political sphere of SA.

I agree we need people like this. This guy is intelligent. There is lack of leadership and political maturity in the ANC. We only see opportunists of the highest order. Persons who want to become President not to fight poverty but wanting presidential perks for life
He's pointing out what others have already been saying for 2 decades. Someone like Anthea Jeffry's knew even before ANC took power, even wrote a book about it already, and people were warned of what was to come. But of course nobody cares what minorities think or have to say. So people today are a bit slow, others have already deduced the outcomes decades ago. We are now merely living what was predicted.
And yes the ANC cares only about itself, being part of the gang grants you perks, and these people in the ANC dont walk the streets to see what life is like for most people. They are disconnected from the people, but have the audacity to talk like they speak for the people whos lives they ruined. People are merely a means to an end for the ANC, and Phalaphosa has said in a speech before that the ANC comes first.

Very true though. Most of the youth today follow people and not ideas.
