    As a miss state alum I’m so freaking happy he’s our head coach. He’ll never feel more loved than by the fans in Starkville. 100,000 in the Junction every Saturday. It really is a passionate fan base. I can’t wait to see what the years to come has to offer.. don’t forget the bulldogs were the first team ever ranked Number 1 in the COllege football playoff. There’s talent around, now here’s our coach

      I like Leach, he is funny! He should have stayed in Washington tho because now he has to compete with Tide, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and even Rocky Top, and with less resources than he had in Washington. And in Washington there were only two teams on the schedule that could possibly and did beat him, Ohio State and Oregon. Here it is easy to lose 7 games.. He's not beating Tide, LSU, or Auburn, and Missouri, Texas A&M, and Kentucky can open a can of whoopass too in 2020 that's 6 loses unless he pulls a miracle out of the hat, and he don't want to mess around and lose to Arkansas too and be facing Ole Miss with 7 losses (haha).

      I'm not sure Starkville can maintain a man like Leach and intellect. Hopefully you folks don't run him off. Just think, his Wife and family still have to live in this area and shop, mingle do functions etc.
      Starkville is literally a cesspool. Literally leaving the campus you go left and run into street thugs, go right and run into trailer parks and meth. Then you have the folks who pretend to be superior and go to church, but stab you in the back. Not a good place at all and State should change motto from; "Hospitality state" to something else. Leach better not leave that campus.

    • @redwingsfan3621
      @redwingsfan3621 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tim W Legit point. The reason it’s hard to have a great defense is because the air raid scores so quickly that the defense is on the field often. Tech one year actually had the best offense and the dead last defense in the country and still somehow won nine games. If you can just get a top half defense you could possibly win a national championship. That makes it worth a shot

    • @UndefeatedZoe
      @UndefeatedZoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It will be interesting to see SEC defenses retool to regularly face an Air Raid again. Although, to be honest, a lot of what they're still trying to figure out against LSU applies for MSU as well since the Brady offense has been called "sort of a fourth-gen air raid" by one accurate commentator.

      The air raid i guess can be exciting for some folks, but not me im old school. I like a physical team where the run game is the staple of the offense, but also a balanced offense as well that requires a defense to allways have to worry about the deep ball. And of course a strong defense, because as the saying goes defense wins championships. As a Kentucky fan im loving our team and our coaches right now. But it is going to be exciting watching the Cats take on Leach and Mississippi States air raid. The air raid is an offense UK ran awile back under Hal Mummy, and Leach as an assistant. So yeah it will be interesting.

      To be fair the guy was at the program that was dead last in recruiting (with him before him and after him) in both his conferences. Nick Saban at MSU didn't grab a bunch of titles. Blue bloods win it all 99/100 times.

    • @markdumas
      @markdumas 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be fair we're talking Texas Tech and Washington State. He's gone to lower echelon schools and made them competitive (10/11 wins). Miss. State is right up there in the mix as another underdog (vs the likes of Bama, Auburn, LSU), but MSU has gone to 10 straight bowls. It's not exactly a doormat school. If Leach is good for +3 wins per year he can win 9-10 per year consistently and maybe have a shot at 11.

Leach will have nick saban pulling al his hair out within a few years leach in the sec, where he could actually get some talented recruits, like he has never been Abe to get at tech or WSU could be a interesting experiment teams in the sec better hope he don’t land a big time qb. And a few big time receivers. Bc he will. Throw it 55 times and would not shy away from trying to run up the score on you

But came from not a clear cut winning head coach background. Same as Morehead. Same as before. Now we have someone to believe in that has the history as a head coach and has been successful. I’ve never been as pumped as now for a Miss state season and beyond. Can’t be hard to respect that my dood

      Defense has never been a problem. Above average most years, and pretty good considering the offensive history of 3 and out. Multiple NFL defensive draft picks every year and all from within 300 miles of Starkville. If Leach gets a decent DC, we could be very dangerous.

  • @greggalloway1276
    @greggalloway1276 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Mississippi State hired a GOOD coach not a Great one. Leach will bring in the right QB, RB, and Receivers to run his offence. It’s his defense that is usually average to below average and they have to outscore their opponents. Good News if you like offense you got the right coach. The Bad News you still have to play Alabama, LSU, and Auburn who are all balanced teams!
    Good Luck!

    • @Lunzatis_Palemoon
      @Lunzatis_Palemoon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Greg Galloway The problem with what you are saying is that Mississippi State ALWAYS has good/great defensive players and traditionally recruits them easily, all the time, which means Leach will not have to worry about recruiting on defense as much. The problem with Mississippi State has ALWAYS been recruiting QBs and WRs.

    I like Leach but his best days were about 20 years ago. His “air raid” offense has been around at least that long and isn’t nearly as “genius” as it was back in the day. Most DC’s have seen it and scheme against it. His biggest issue is going to be recruiting.
