Not directly related to computer games, but in DnD I like to give monsters higher hp, but lower their AC. That way players feel the success of landing a hit more often, the fights still last the same amount of time, enemies are neither weaker or stronger. It also makes it easier for the DM to judge what players can handle, bc of you know their weapons/spells, you can gauge more or less how much damage per round they can deal. If an enemy has a higher AC a lucky roll can cut the encounter short, while a string of bad ones can wipe the party.
I really like when a 'unique' unlocks new ways of playing. We need more build-unlocking 'uniques' imo :) 8:29 It used to scale with power-projectile for sure (I don't play the beta so I don't know if it still scales). From my experience with just 3 extra power projectiles I could double the rock-shield efficiency and make it pretty decent on my power-build
That is what they intend to do with a bunch of the uniques. Characters like Skadi might be Strike/Summon based, but the plan is to use powerful uniques to allow the other types of builds.
dear Mr. jeff i have some issue with "curse of corruption" affix item which make enemy take damage 50(roll depend) life/sec which count as "power" but when i try to use avalon perk to increase power damage from %attack it doesn't scale the damage up at all still stuck at 50/sec. did i misunderstand some mechanic in this game or there was some hidden mechanic for this affix?
So, from my testing "curse of corruption" does not scale with increase damage. In the patch notes during testing it said it was supposed to so I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it got rolled back
Regarding dictators and cigars/mustaches, that's probably 90% Fidel Castro, especially if you're from Florida. Maybe-sorta Stalin, but he smoked pipes not cigars. Cigars are also just generally associated with military officers, which a lot of dictators either are or like to style themselves as.
I know kronts war cheif is super broken rn, what if they made it an ability you had to build up to? Like every time you land a full 3 hits you can use it, keeping its damage and everything
It works. problem is you're better off leveling your powers. Also awkward side effect of reducing your power duration, which is only really relevant to alteration ritual, but it could matter
Eventually yes, there will be something in place to play any act and get the current highest tier available. When that is getting implemented......no idea
-Wouldn't attack area increase convert to power area increase? Was surprised you banished the master offer.- never mind, reread the staff. Only cast and summon bonuses get converted.

Hard agree here, missing over and over is not very fun, it also kind of makes tabletop rpgs specifically feel more "gamey".

The % dmg res, is resistance to % damage, e.g burning and soulstealers
Which is why soulstealers hits for 7 at d100

It got MASSIVELY nerfed, in the beta......still probably the best thing in the game, but it no longer clears the entire screen
Try High Sorceress to help with damage scaling.

Passing on leveling your auto attack and Force is a huge miss on spell damage.
Not sure if its been mentioned but are they buffing act 1? Like dropping act 2 gear. That would make act 1 worth playing again

lol yeah, I was only getting 25% value on attack damage buffs from talents. Getting attack area too would be crazy

Yeah, anyone can get it, but make a backup of your save file because you can't go backwards.
