Please kindly help me! I am using Android VGA Emulator to play Pokemon Emerald. I tried to use cheat code to Gain 5000 Exp. I had turn on master code for it correctly. When pokemon fainted and i click R + A, it doesn't work at all, I have tried so many times, PLS HELP!!!! THANKS!

Write codes, save game and open again ur VBA with rom. While u fight please press button which is signed for 'R' in configuration pannel. Now that should works.
Sorry forgot to add,
once you're in the frame where it tells you how much Exp gained, press R.
This code does work...
If you are using Visual Boy Advance then you may be having the same problems I was...
Part 1
First open your cheat tab.
then click cheat list.
if you already have cheats in your cheat list for gameshark, clear them all, you can put them in again later.
then click the codebreaker button next to gameshark DO NOT CLICK GAMESHARK
in codebreaker, add the master codes:

then add exp codes:
EXP 5000

If it isn't working for you, PUT THE CODES IN WITH CODEBREAKER, NOT GAMESHARK.
And make sure your R button is configured to "S" on your keyboard.
what kind of emulater do you use if it is VBA then push the cheats button then click cheats list and put it in any slot
If you are using VBA go to cheat option and enter Gameshark cheat or code braker cheat
press ok.

Hold R + A when the gained xp text thing comes up or? Tried everythin, from slammin A + R throughout the battle to holdin it as the exp bar goes up, can't get it to work

Works 100% is just 5000 exp so need to fight alot for max lv
Ok , Well , this emrld version is a rom for the PC , you need a gameshark for gameboy to make it works on your gameboy game.

now it should work by holding R and A when you see the gain EXP message. when you want it to stop, stop holding R and start tapping B.
now you can add your other codes back in to gameshark
Do not try to use the codebreaker codes and gameshark codes together.

@DanteTrishVergil Your R button might be on a different key. Check to see where all of your keys are.

there must be a master code required. Cant just put a code in and expect it to work. Which Master code did the ones who it worked for use?

It might not be working for some of you guys because maybe you're looking at the European codes.

It DOES work. Also, if you hold L as you keep hitting A to ascend levels, it's an infinite xp cheat until you let go of L. Neat huh?
@2k11med uh just stop pressing the vba "R" button, just press a instead it would stop if after giving 5000 xp :D

awesome glitch WITHOUT gameshark: give the pokemon you want to level up the xp
share. that pokemon should be the one fighting. it should get double the xp that it normally would. :) your welcome
hey, try to disable the first line of the exp cheat when the exp gain is displayed.. that way you don't have to press r and a!!! but only disable it when the text "pokemon gains xx exp!" is displayed, or else it'll freeze! try it!!
I'm struggling (as are many people it seems) to get this R+A thing (or S+Z if your on VBA). Has anyone managed to get it to work on VBA, if you have, then what are you doing differently from the rest of us!?

O one problem guys sometimes an other pokemon in your pokemon team goes exp up aswell :S
Hold down R+A Until you want the exp to stop rising.
This is irritating done it codebreaker and done in gameshark using vids methods and LJNZ87's method Hold A+R(Visual boy advance Z+S) and nothing happens so if anyone can sort this out would be helpful

I dont see how you guys gets these codes to work ive tryied everything. Do i need to download a program or something before the cheats works? Iam using Gameboy advance VisualBoyAdvance. Playing Pokemon Emerald.

It does not work because when you press R+A and hold it its stuck on the experience message👎 and then you have to let go of it to accept the experience message by pressing a and then the code won't work because you let go tsk tsk. Your marked as spam and disliked

maybe u need to clear ur cheat list (Not just disable) and put on the codes i give. when u see exp gain PRESS and HOLD R+A.
