the writers have not shown any growth arc with chris .....she is still the same ... i really thought they would get that date and then things will take a new driection in next season ...yes i was a street shipper and still am but that this matchup still feels nice ( given their back story as well)
I don't know, we got so much progress at the end of S4 with Chris admitting her feelings, to their relationship to be put on the back burner for most of S5. I know Chris is all about morals and what not when it comes to Swat but Street has told her twice this season that he can't wait forever. The ball has been in her court for so long. This will either make her finally break that wall she's built or this is it for Stris 😞😥

I really want to believe it’s still possible for STRIS to come to life. But honestly, the writers are straight Assholes if they’re just letting these moments happen but have already decided Street and Chris won’t ever be together.

I really don't think we're gonna see STRIS happen any time soon. I love the fact they have Alex's real girlfriend on this week's episode. It's one thing to have Kenny's daughter on for a few episodes, but what they did here with Alex's girlfriend is pretty cool. It's great to see Street happy again after what drama we're seeing he's having with Chris.
the fact that they used his actual girlfriend and talked about relationships makes me think we aren't going to see stris. my heart is broken I thought this s.w.a.t episode and the new rookie episode were ok but they weren't that great

this might actually happen, like I'd actually bet that Chris and Street will get together in episode 22. Because all big things usually lead up to the end of a season. Like it would make no sense if Christ and Street started dating in this episode. And also I'm pretty sure that this woman is just a way to finally make Chris realise that she either commits to Street now or never so don't lose hope!

To be honest on the questionable subject of Trust and Commitment, One has to be clear on one's own account of feelings. I have seen the SWAT seasons and the relationship of Chris and Street is one of the Most interesting matter to be taken into consideration. As viewers we all have seen the equation of both the characters and one thing is for certain, both the parties are quiet serious about each other and when ever one of them requires the other's attention both of them jump to help each other that being said we also have seen scenes in which it is quiet evident that they just want it all!!! But just because of one's own insecurities they are depriving themselves from Joy/peace/happiness. I hope that in the coming installment of SWAT both are together no matter what comes their way🙂👍
Yeeessssss finally he’s moving on and it’s now Chris’s turn to come around. I was losing hope it would happen this way (because I honestly think it’s the best way to do it), and here it is finally. Chris is the one still hesitant about this, the final step has to come from her.

Guys do not give up hope I am 100 percent sure that is not a date and there will be a moment where Chris and Street finally get into a relationship because no matter what girl street talks to he will always love Chris just don't give up hope and you know when you see something like this between. Chris and Street just see the scenes from 4x17 and 4x18 because that shows the are not willing to move on not after those and street said they have tried ignoring their feelings they tried moving on and him saying that, that means that they cannot move on just don't give up hope and besides we gotta remember their gonna have ups and downs that is just part of the chemistry just once again don't give up hope

yes I'm pretty sure that Chris and Street will get together at the end of this season, in the last episode. because its pretty common for writers to lead up to a plot that'll happen at the end of a season.
I agree with you. If Street moved on we are back to season 4, he was in a relationship and couldn’t stop thinking about Chris. People start to forget Chris nearly freaked out during the rescue training. She was afraid to lose him. On the other hand Street‘s body language towards the stewardess was not open more distant. I still have hope.

I knew they were going to make Chris scared and jealous.. the story was never going to be as dramatic as Twitter was suggesting. I hope nxt ep there is a jealous reaction from Chris.. I would hate it if it's just business as usual.. the writers do that a lot. They leave gaps and it's like it never happened. I hope they move the story forward.. Chris needs to make a decision so we can move on..

Ojalá los escritores me cierren la boca dando un final de temporada lindo de STRIS.
Los escritores saben muy bien el juego del marketing en Twitter. Es de esperarse que los fans Stris sigan ilusionados.
Siento que dejan mal al personaje de Chris. Y muchos la juzgan de que no demuestra sentimientos por Street. Pero si analizamos su proceso sentimental y emocional ella lleva una lucha interna, y además hay que reconocer que ella siempre ha luchado para que Street sea feliz y este bien, que no se pierda en el camino, se preocupa por él más que con los otros; solo en lo referente a demostrar amor falla, siento que de verdad no conoce ell amor por eso no sabe como mostarlo. Es un personaje complejo.
Street es tan lindo y expresivo. Su vida ha sido tan falta de amor, que sabe lo importante que es demostrarlo. En ocasiones siento que lo hacen rogar mucho por ello. Por eso los haría la pareja perfecta. Se complementan. Él tan parlanchin y ella tan reservada.
Definitivamente esto ya es juego de los escritores. Ojalá me equivoque, STRIS es su fuerte en la serie por el momento. Así que por eso hacen mucho ruido con el tema para tener a los fans al pendiente.
Me siento estafada.

I am starting to get sick of Street and Chris. I was such a huge shipper, but I feel like the writers are dragging it out so long that I have lost interest. Let’s see if this will maybe spice things up.

It's not fun and exciting anymore, it's just plain annoying, like, I know they want the views, but maybe they should try getting them some other way, except just pulling our legs.
I got so angry at the end of the episode, and my expectations were like basement level low, I expected at least a look like at the end of 5x09, but we didn't even get that. What are they doing?
And to think there are just 3 episodes left, I can see the cliffhanger already happening just like the last season, if it even comes to that.
I love Chris as a character, there is so much to her that can be expanded on, backstory, family, but they are destroying her. We haven't had a development of her character since the end of season 4, we got to the point where she and Street know she has feeling for him, but she is not ready. That's all there is to her character in the last year. I have no idea if Lina is leaving the show so there is no "need" to do anything, but writers need to get their heads out of their asses.
Luca (I love his character, he is a genuine good guy, comic relief, positive figure, I have nothing against him) got more development and story in 5x18 (not to talk about all of opportunities he had to lead not related to that specific episode) than Chris did since the last real productive Stris conversation at the end of season 4. They are turning her into a indecisive and unlikable character, which is such a shame.
I mean, Hondo gets so much story and material, and he is just an annoying macho guy who disrespects and distrusts the same "family" he insists should trust him back.
I feel for Street, truly, if I was him, I'd start getting really frustrated and angry. I can feel his confusion, from a fan standpoint, I want Stris to happen, but dude... Is this dragging out really necessary? They won't make character any better, they will just manage to water them down.
If getting another season means this level "oh, views mean money, we have no real idea, story or content to write, so we'll just drag out Stris as long as possible"... I mean, I don't need it.
Only really good story in the last 2 seasons is the one with Annie and Deacon trying to prove that guy innocent.

@@heathermueller2848 I never stayed up to watch it due to the time difference, but I see can that can be frustrating, especially if you stay up late, or wake up early just to watch it live.
Also, if you choose to watch it instead if something else that's running at the same time :/
@@lucijatadinac9667 personally I don't think Chris will ever be ready. She has too much baggage and shut off in so many ways to the point where the job is her entire life which is very lonely. And at the same time she's become annoying with the ever Chip on her shoulder whining about male privilege us against them all while having the privilege of facing zero consequences for her erratic drunken behavior in the past. Street is smart to finally let go of someone who is stringing him along.
