That is a very Professional and appropriate way of dealing with negative people and or comments or remarks. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this subject. Have a great evening. 👍🇺🇸👍💯
I can not imagine any body making any negative comments on your channel , the work you do, the way you explain things are simply PERFECT ! You are well organize your shop is very clean and you are very professional on all aspects of metal shaping .
Great insight. 👍👍😊👍👍. Thanks for raising us all up. I agree completely removing the negativity, especially the trolls 😂 (and by deleting them you’re giving them one less person they can try and tear down…. And maybe they will change).
Your work and knowledge is of such a high calibre that sharing it with everyone is an astonishing act of generosity. This will never be lost on the majority of people who genuinely wish to learn and develop their skills and ultimately grow as people with something positive to contribute. Keep up the fabulous work because it's always appreciated and valued.
I rarely read the comments or leave any comment. I have big respect for your skills. The first video of yours that I seen was when you made a one piece inner fender. I couldn’t believe it could be done. You explained the process very intelligently. Ever since then, you have my big support. The world needs more skilled craftsman such as yourself. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you.
There are many people that need to hear and see this and you’re right about those miserable folks who have zero to contribute other than to Municipal Septic Systems and excess C02 output.
What a great video, and advice, Mike. There are so many lousy people who are just out for an argument, it’s really great to hear how you deal with them. Love your work and videos 😃👍🇦🇺🦘
I'm in the arena with you my friend , critics are adrenalin junkies and can get that rush even with no response - leaving a hurtful comment , they've Won in there minds "sick puppies"
In my experience with them, since they only want to get noticed and get a reaction, I respond a few ways. If it's entirely obscene I block them from the channel. If it's just childish desperation to get noticed I reply with "Thanks for watching." The last is someone with no social skills who needs prompting. Like, Do you mean _____? Good video!
Great tips man. I dont know why we as adults cant be supportive of one another. Love your channel and what your doing. Pop tarts in their underwear! 😂 That was great.
The problem with social media platforms is that they give a voice to foolish people who are not yet able to write a sentence without mistakes. This is one of the reasons why I don't have a Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok account. I'm 57 years old, there was no internet for most of my life, and yet I've been happy all this time. I don't want to brag about myself, but in this world there are far more people who are more foolish than I am than there are people who are smarter. Unfortunately, we can't ban the foolish people from the internet... So no social media for me...
Really good advice. The trolls, the guys and gals with nothing good to say or contribute in a positive way don't add value. the personal "joking" comment is especially relevant. In the end the work always talks for itself. Allowing any one negative and dragging you down in life or socials are a waste of everyone's time. An old tradesman told me over 2 years ago, always provide opinions and advice, but if the person want to argue then that's a different type of discussion that shod take place in the car park. Great advice.
Merry Christmas Mike hope you and your family had a nice time . Sadly in this world now matter what we do there will always be trolls . Personally I think the way you explained your skill to normal real people is great . I think I've said before I've learnt so much from you so thank you for that .Cheers Mike .
Great video, well said. Trolls and negative people are just jealous of your skills and success. Most have never created anything but stupid comments. Ignore and Move on. Thanks for all your great content.
The trolls are like a 7 headed serpent, you cut one off and 2 more grow back. It's a never ending battle that can't be won, so don't let it consume any more of your precious time. I usually thank them for the comment and helping me out with the algorithm or just scroll on. I think most don't expect you to see or reply to it. Just remember, you can't fix stupid! lol
Awesome advice. Could you do another video like this on how to deal with work related burnout in the car industry. I find it hard myself to want to work on my personal projects after a full day of doing body work for a living.
Good advice. As a commenter it always amazes me how quickly people jump to conclusions and want to start an argument. Usually comes from a misunderstanding but some people just like to mess with other people. I like the channel, I don’t form metal the same way you do for a lot of reasons but I also built my business for rust repair speed living in the rust belt on the frozen tundra. We only have time for one high end build a year, then five or six quick ones, finishing metal work at your normal speed and quality level is way better finished than my place does in forming a fairly decent panel in a half hour and welding it in. So I would already know, even a tip or different technique comment would immediately be attacked, so I don’t comment. On the other end of the industry we have channels fixing floors with road signs and license plates or making panels with hammers only. You would wish they would at least try to learn metal forming but many of the cars they work on are so far rusted and the car is of such low retail value, who cares. They are not set up to work metal, they don’t have decent equipment for it nor do they have the skills and knowledge to do it well if they did. It just makes a metalsmith cringe a little watching them butcher something but that is how they do it. You can still learn things and pick up tips to save money on budget builds. Nothing wrong with it, aside from structural integrity issues in many cases and you realize it is simply very low quality repair work. I just wouldn’t do it that way nor would I want something leaving my shop built that way but they do it that way. The argumentative people are not always very old, they have not built hundreds of cars and if they did, they wouldn’t be slamming other peoples work and would have a clue on what you creators were trying to get across. Just not worth the aggravation commenting in more cases than not, the nasty commenters can’t be sent back to fourth grade and taught manners.
Trolls have multiplied a lot on every platform. I couldn’t imagine how annoying and distracting it could with your online presence. It bugs me when I see people like you sharing knowledge for a future generation and the trolls start taking over the comment sections. Thanks for putting all of your skills out here for the community.
I get some of those people on my videos. I had to block some people that totally blasted me and called me names for putting a 100cc Yamaha motor on a toddler trike. No toddler on it, but man some people got so mad over it. It don't get that, you do a cool job, engineer some stuff and it goes right over people's head.
This is good insight. And if you post content you have to have a plan about negative people and comments. When the kooks leave weird comments, I just leave them there unanswered so everybody else can see what they did. 😂
Maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't see this as trollable content. There has to be something bad about it to attract really negative responses. Most of us here have quite a few shaping tools and experience so I'm just enjoying watching machinery I can't afford. If someone wants to laugh at a shovelful of filler in a panel, that can definitely be found on TH-cam, just not here. So, whatever I guess. 🤨
@@cornfieldcustoms Thanks for addressing this as I’ve assumed it must be draining. I liken your channel to displaying a build at a local car show every day of the week except you’re even detailing exactly what your processes are. There are always those people who just want to walk around trashing everyone’s build saying they would do it different or better. Often it is someone who just did the best they could (how about just compliment something you do like about their work 🤔) and most often the critic really does not have the skill to do any better. Anyways much respect to you for sharing your skills for free - thanks👍 I would be happy to attend one of your classes in the future.
Any chance you could shed light on what fabricators can be paid at car building shops? I’m sure it’s all over the place but maybe mention the pay you have seen out there.
It is jealously most of the time, I get it on a forum from time to time when I show something I have made. Multi skilled people in your trade are at the top of the tree and make it look easy, what you have to work out is how much time you spend on nursing an enquiry! Like the 5 second rule dropping a bit of toast on the floor lol Good engineer's don't make the best business people as we are more into making the product than dealing with a poor enquiry. Not sure if this helps but I over the years stopped doing the Garden gate welding type jobs as there would never be meat in those jobs. When people would say "can you fix the latch thing" I would just say No Sorry. Great Channel
I have enjoyed your videos have learned alot even though i have worked metal many years mostly on aircraft. Thanks for all your har 8:16 d work. I do have some tool envy, you own some nice equipment and i really like your station wagon..keep upbthe good work
I couldn't be more on your side with this. I do not take any time with those trols/better knowers. I'm to old to try and save some conversations. Get negativity out of your life.
I am going to add one thing to that, the person on the page should not to be to thin skinned. I am not going to mention who but one of the guys I have followed for a long time that you can not ask a single question without being jumped on unless you are parsing him as the god of metal shaping. Not saying someone has to be a punching bag but in some cases the reply is just down right ignorant or insulting ( not that I have seen you do that). You get 20 plumbers in to fix the same issue, one after another and they will all say the guy before didn't know what they were doing. This is a philosophy to live by in my opinion. Peace.
Great way to handle it buddy , them who are haters are not interested in the channel or content anyway prob don't even like cars . Keep up the good work mate , and a Happy new year to you from Thailand 😎🤘🤘

Awesome points and advice! The T.R. quote is spot on; hanging in my office right now. He was an inspirational person, proud my son is his namesake
100% agree, Mike. Life's way too short to put up with the jerks of the world.
Great advice and video. I appreciate all I've learned from you. Your work is epic quality. Thank you.
Thanks for the video Mike. Very good points!
Well said Mike and thank you again for the louver roof insert for my 34 ford
I value your channel, and I promise I won't leave smart aleck remarks, I'll watch it so I can learn.
Great advice.
I learned long ago to only surround myself with positive people when possible.

Thanks, Mike. More videos, please. I love them and can't imagine a week without.
Great advice. I try to thank them for the comment and move on. But sometimes I carry that around. Thank you for what you do.
Great advice Mike. Thanks for taking the time to share it. Happy new year.
THANK U FOR THE INFO
Stay strong, keep doing you Sir. Trolls are small minded insecure people that bully others from the shadows.
Thank you for all u do

Good advice, thanks
My hats off to you for sharing your hard earned knowledge, all while having to deal with the assholes of the world. Good on you!
Well stated!!!!

Block fast, block often, one strike and you're out. I am totally ruthless with trolls and miserable idiots. This is my business platform. End Of!
I appreciate that, in a "super macho" industry... there are certain folks like yourself who talk about positive mental health.
