    Thats just what i needed. Ive been trying to make a complicated model with curved surfaces. Managed to get it into overall shape after torturing fusion and myself for months, but couldnt then do anything else with that surface, couldnt thicken it, couldnt make it into an actual body... only got a forest of errors and failures. This is what ive been missing. Thank you!

      Well with a name like "Surface Reflection" I would hope this would hit close to home! hah But in more seriousness, this is a REALLY great video to learn a lot on that front.

      @@adskFusion It does hit home more than you can imagine. At least to that part of the nickname. Now its up to me to reflect it into something actually great. Ive been going over almost every tutorial i could find but this is what i have been missing.

    Overall very good presentation, I picked up some new tips in using these tools along the way. As mentioned by others the audio being out of sync makes it difficult to follow. I know your crammed for time when doing these but slowing down on the mouse clicks would make it much easier to follow. I had to go back and re-watch several times and pausing on certain moves to understand what you were doing.

    I'm not sure most people would consider this an entry level video for 3d modeling but my brain wont let me start at all without starting *right*. I couldn't have clicked on a better video for dipping my toes past the fillet.

    It would valuable to know what the questions from the audience were to give context to the answers.

    Autodesk, please consider for better visualization, and less User eyestrain.
    1) Adding color (yellow) to the eye (?) icon, formerly the flashlight icon, to aid in distinguishing ON/OFF state.
    2) Improve overall screen readability with greater contrasting text through User customization, or via User editable .xml file.

    Great video, but is the voice in sync with the picture?

    • @no-page

      About halfway through, the audio is way behind the video. The last half of the video is very hard to follow.

    • @kavorka8855
      @kavorka8855 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@no-page You're right! I found the sync issue, it's about -5.8 (Hastened) on VLC Adjustment and Effects->Synchronization setting. This video is very important and should be fixed and re-uploaded.

    • @kavorka8855
      @kavorka8855 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I take this back, it's basically unfixable; variable sync issues at every interval of about 5-10 minutes

  • @robandwend

    Great content, shame that the sound/video sync goes totally out. So becomes unwatchable about half way through.

    Enjoying the learning here. I have run into an issue at 18:45. I can't impose the match curvature constraint because the sketches in the first curve can't be selected. I'm sure I'm missing something. I'm using version 2.0.13377 . Any help is much appreciated....

    Sometimes I do a loft surface and the dialog box does not give me the three G0, G1, and G2 options for the profiles. It instead gives "Connected" and "Direction." What am I doing wrong?

    • @irishman6470
      @irishman6470 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK, I found the answer: I was using 2D sketch profiles instead of edges of surfaces or bodies.

    Is it possible to sync the audio and video better?

    • @adskFusion
      @adskFusion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see what you and others have mentioned...unfortunately that's how it was originally recorded and TH-cam doesn't included an option to edit in this way.
      And....the more I watch it, the more it seems the sync issue slowly builds over time. Long story short, I don't think I'll be able to fix this! Sorry about that.

    • @87osvald
      @87osvald 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adskFusion maybe if you download the video and put it in to a video edit software, and then move the sound relative to the video and then upload again?
      Or does the sync issue get worse the longer out in the video you get?

    I have a learning problem. The way I learn is by clearly listing steps to do a task. I have yet to mirror a shape or a component. I need step by step.

      @adskFusion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see what you and others have mentioned. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to fix this! It's strange that it grows over time. Maybe I can add a couple frame holds or pauses in the audio, but getting it perfect would be difficult if not impossible.

      @@adskFusion By 35 minutes in it becomes difficult to follow, if you intend to leave this up as a training video for the foreseeable future, it would be nice if you could make some attempt to mitigate the issue. The video is nearly useless after 45 minutes. I don't know much about video editing, but could you not just fit the video to the audio by shortening the video side a bit?

    • @adskFusion
      @adskFusion  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm curious if the original video (where I got this from) has a similar problem? Can you double check here:
