Here in Virginia, you can't adopt a dog or cat from a shelter or rescue without getting it vetted and microchipped. As in, it literally CANNOT be released to you unless it's got a microchip.
One of the benefits of getting a dog is taking the dog for walks, bonding with the dog and mutual fitness and company. So many people get a dog and within months they can't be bothered taking the dog for a walk, so they just open the door to let it do its business outside. To me that's cruel to the dog, why get a dog if all you're going to do is lazily open a door for it now and then? Glad they didn't get the dog back.
Dogs are not TOYS. They are not born knowing how to behave. Do not GET a dog if you are not going to research dog/breed care and behavior, and COMMIT to spending adequate time raising the dog. People like that piss me off so much!!
I agree with the verdict. I can't stand when people treat animals nonchalant. And how didn't she know the puppy wouldn't get turned around and lose his way. Just negligent behavior. He could've been hit by a car or anything. Luckily he ended up with the defendants. Get a gold fish.
Simple answer: drugs. The plaintiffs could barely enunciate their words. In addition, the husband readily admitted to lying about the dog being chipped. Clearly the plaintiffs were not the sharpest knives in the drawer. I'd be surprised if their combined IQs added up to a triple-digit number.
I’d say probably wanted to use it for breeding puppies. They don’t seem emotionally connected as the dog roams around. If that was ever their dog in the first place.
If they had actually taken the time to get their puppy chipped, all they would have had to do was take the dog to the vet and scan the chip and they could have proven the dog belonged to them. Instead, they leave a very young puppy outside ALONE, and he disappeared, and now, suddenly, they want to say this lady "STOLE" their dog. It seems to me like the dog is very comfortable with the defendants.
The dog is clearly well taken care of! Two years is far too long to try to get back an animal that you lost as a baby! If the animal was full grown that would then be a different story as they would have memory of you. I think they just wanted their dog and tried to say it was the puppy they negligently lost!
2 years later? I’m sorry but that woman lost all rights she had to that dog a long time ago, who lets a puppy out to run around no leash unsupervised? She wasn’t responsible anyway so I feel no sympathy for her. P.S. Glad the dog wound up with people that seems to be taking good care of it.
How can you come to court as a plaintiff and have an attitude like that, how are you going to sway the judge in your light? Admitted Liars and irresponsible lazy owners. Neat toddler metaphor.
I see my dog all over the place, same markings, same leg length same kind of tail, everything, but I know it’s not my dog because my dog passed away in 2018. I now have a nine year old 1/2 long-haired Chihuahua, 1/4 Yorky, 1/4 Maltese and I wouldn’t let him outside without a leash. People have to give their heads a shake once in a while to get the marbles in place.

I walked them on a leash, brought them to the fenced in area in the back on a leash, and kept an eye on them when the leash came off in the fenced in area. So many people get a dog and within months they can't be bothered taking the dog for a walk, so they just open the door to let it do its business outside. To me that's cruel to the dog, why get a dog if all you're going to do is lazily open a door for it now and then?
Glad they didn't get the dog back.
I agree with JJ on this. 💯
😂 “stold”. 😆
I axe you not to say that.
If they really wanted the dog back. You would think they would kneel down and say hi to the dog. But it was careless.
Her attitude though
Leaving both of them, doesn't want to be with any of them.
Those people were pretty bland. That woman face when JJ said she was not giving them the dog. Lol why?
Simple answer: drugs. The plaintiffs could barely enunciate their words. In addition, the husband readily admitted to lying about the dog being chipped. Clearly the plaintiffs were not the sharpest knives in the drawer. I'd be surprised if their combined IQs added up to a triple-digit number.
@@jasonhurd4379 wow, harsh assumption that they are on drugs. How do you arrive at that conclusion 🤔
@@jasonhurd4379 drugs ?? Really
Judge Judy doesn’t play about dogs and I love it
LOL, they actually wrote in the note "Stold". Stay in school kids!
That dog was most likely hers, but judging on her irresponsibility, I'm glad she didn't get it back
She damn sure will let her kids out unsupervised......
Prisons full of kids that were unsupervised during childhood......
The plaintiff was really something.2 years That dogs was gone, & all of sudden wanna sue to get it back? Come on!! That was pet neglect on their part.
They wrote the note themselves!
‘Stole’ for the win!
They only wanted the dog back so they could sell it. Money is the only drive. So sad. Glad dog didn’t go back to her.
Where do you get that from? Just curious 🤔
@@mscaligurl76 wondering the same
@@mscaligurl76 Facts... They spent almost $700 on it just to resell it ?!... Makes no sense.
I’d say probably wanted to use it for breeding puppies. They don’t seem emotionally connected as the dog roams around. If that was ever their dog in the first place.
The plaintiffs were so cold toward the dog. Glad it wasn’t given to them
In Australia we have to have microchipped.
They would have done it so they believe they won't have to pick up dog poop
Dogs are awesome people
she lied on her complaint
That was the defendant's answer, not the plaintiff's sworn complaint.
In sure the defendant has let a she three year old out and expected them to return per her instructions 😂
Who lies about a dog being chipped? Just silly
Chileee that letter says “stold your dog “ fix it Jesus 😭
The dog is clearly well taken care of! Two years is far too long to try to get back an animal that you lost as a baby! If the animal was full grown that would then be a different story as they would have memory of you.
I think they just wanted their dog and tried to say it was the puppy they negligently lost!
Haha. Glad she didn't get the dog back. Didn't care enough about it to supervise it when it was outside. HORRIBLE pet owner
If you let a dog out without a leash or person you don't need animals
2 years later? I’m sorry but that woman lost all rights she had to that dog a long time ago, who lets a puppy out to run around no leash unsupervised? She wasn’t responsible anyway so I feel no sympathy for her. P.S. Glad the dog wound up with people that seems to be taking good care of it.
Wow, that dog is a cutie!!
Dogs will remember you from years away
Should have had the dog chipped.. 🤔💯
How can you come to court as a plaintiff and have an attitude like that, how are you going to sway the judge in your light? Admitted Liars and irresponsible lazy owners. Neat toddler metaphor.
I gave dogs certain rights...lmao
$695 lesson
when yo go before jj, you must have your ducks in a row
The attitude gets me
Good call JJ this couple is despicable. A random letter yeah okay
The judge knows. You don’t let your dog run free
The word stole was misspelled on that letter. It says "stold."
love it
If I spent $695 for a dog, I would be out side with that dog at all times, watching it like a hawk.
Do I think it was their dog… yeah I do
These people don't deserve or need a dog !😊
Cute dog 🐕
The dog knew them but felted they give him away I think.
*THIS IS WHAT IRRESPONSIBILITY LOOKS LIKE, THERE ARE ALWAYS CONSEQUENCES FOR BEING STUPID.*
"Stold" your dog.
Wow that was Hard to watch - Judge harsh Go buy another dog Ur not getting it back. No refund no nothing 😳🤣🤣. Should off chipped ur puppy should off not let it out on its own. New owners got them a FREE Dog 😅
Not a yorkie poo. Not even close!
WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUNNY....IF THE DOG WOULD PEED ON THE PLAINTIF,S LEG!
Out of all of the dogs I've had, I never let them out unsupervised. I walked them on a leash, brought them to the fenced in area in the back on a leash, and kept an eye on them when the leash came off in the fenced in area. You let a dog out on it's own, unless it's professionally trained, don't expect to ever see the dog again.
Cute 🐶
Most dogs are going to remember people even after two years if they have a real bond 💯
Should have chipped the dog. It's only $20
“Stold” 😂
“So you were lazy…” JJ 😂😂😂
True 😂
