    What annoys me most about sovereign citizens is that they live in a country with laws they don't want to follow but at the same time benefit from the freedoms of that country.
    If they want to be free of everything they believe in, they should set up their own country in another part of the world.

    • @netwolfe

      As the guy states at the 4:25 mark of this video, sovereign citizens believe they somehow have made it that they are not a citizen of any country. In their heads they might think they are a walking talking city state nation with a population of one, that one being themselves of course. Obviously legally it is impossible make that you are not a citizen of any country, but they think they can. From my understanding (and there is chance I can be wrong about things), I believe they do tend to research the law greatly, but seem to interrupt some of those laws differently then how most people would interrupt them. Apparently the "I was not driving, I was travelling," is actually thing some sovereign citizens have claimed, believing they found some kind of a loophole so traffic laws cannot apply to them.
      The problem with your suggestion you make of their forming their own country in another part of the world, is that there is very little land not claimed by a country.

    • @Ratking_Actual
      @Ratking_Actual 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

    I think you Americans should just start handing these "sovereign citizen" types over to ICE or something. If they're not citizens of the US as they say, and are unwilling to obey local laws, then clearly they should be deported. Just detain them and then have them discuss with their lawyer about which country they'd like to be sent to - if that country will take them.
    On-topic on the actual video: why is she doing traffic stops alone? I'm not familiar with LAPD rules, but in Finland the police always roll as a two-person patrol minimum. For this exact reason in fact: so you have a backup in case shit goes down.

    The best part of Sovereign Citizen logic, is it ignores the fact that U.S. Law applies to anyone inside the U.S. unless exempt by an act of Government, such as with a Treaty. Therefore even if they claim to not be a Citizen of anywhere, that doesn't matter for the purpose of law enforcement. You don't need a name, address, or identifying documents in order to be apprehended and charged with a crime.

      Clearly did the license plate check or she wouldn't have called expired tags
      Why would she "watch her six" when the suspects in question are on her 12 o clock
      not to mention she clearly reaches for her holster after being told they were going to leave.
