And today is a very special day. My dear friend Ian Harbjorn Bagol from the Philippines is having his birthday. He is a great cat lover and animal protector. Congratulation man and celebrate your day!!! Thanks for supporting the channel. You are definitely are a founding member. Have a blessed day 🎂🎁🎈🎊🎉
Once one owns a Devon Rex it would be very difficult to own any other breed. I have owned two. Or, rather two have owned me! The Devon Rex is a true companion cat.
If you own or have ever owned a Devon Rex, you know exactly how much fun it is to have these cats as your best furr-ends. Tell us in the comments your experience with this breed. 😺😻
I'm a breeder from Germany ❤️ and loooove this kind of cat's so much. Such lovely, cuddly intelligent and funny cat's ❤️🤗 I living with 6 Devon Rex Cats and 4 young Devon Rex Cats together 🤭
Thank you for this video about this wonderful Devon Rex Cats. I living with 6 and they are so lovely and so special so good friends. Absolutely wonderful cat's ❤️❤️❤️
Thirteen years ago we got two Devon Rex kittens. They were siblings, and the white one was a male, and the black one was a female. Our experience with them didn't always coincide with the info in the video, however. We still have the white male, but our black female was euthanized about three weeks ago. As young kittens they just had little whisker nubs, but as they grew into adults, they both had long whiskers. The female had long black whiskers that turned downward at the ends and reminded me of a good 'stache" on a guy. The male has long white whiskers that just kind of go off in willy-nilly directions. The male, up until last year, had an adult coat that was long, full, and luxurious; you could lose sight of your fingers running through his fur, and it is similar to poodle fur. We brought him through a major illness last year that caused a lot of hair loss, but he has grown a lot of his fur back, but at this point it is not as long as it used to be. He has long, beautiful legs, and when he makes a jump from here to there, it is art in motion. He has always been quite skittish, and he is afraid of strangers, though he is a devoted "daddy's boy." He is pretty easy to train in terms of naughty behavior. A sharp clap of hands and his name followed by an order ("get down!") is usually enough to stop the behavior. The female was never beautiful in terms of her fur, but that was probably the result of a medication she was on for most of her life. She had kind of a stocky bulldog build, and her jumps from here to there were straight, forceful, fast, and lacking in grace and beauty. When she was a kitten, we referred to her feet as "lightning paws." She really wasn't trainable. Her cat-titude seemed to be, "You can't make me do what you want!" And it was true! The only way to stop a naughty behavior was to approach her, and just as you would reach for her, she would dart away. Truthfully, though it was frustrating, I kind of admired her obstinance. Neither one of them had even the slightest interest in people food, and that turned out to be a good thing as the female ended up on a Rx cat food, and the male was forced to eat it, too, since the vet did not want any cross contamination happening at the water or food bowl. Since they never were separated from each other, their bond remained stronger with each other than to either of us (no kids in our home). They wanted to be in the same room with us, but it was usually more of a sight issue than a cuddle issue. The male, however, seeks me out when he is ill, and he wants to be in my lap non-stop until he feels better. The female loved to be covered up with her blankie, and the male never wants to be covered up. The female could be quite the bully to the male as she was very driven by scent. So, if she could smell a trip to the vet on him, or if he smelled different because he was just bathed, her reaction to him would be to hiss, growl and swat him until he smelled "normal" to her again. He had his own special ways of getting back in her good graces, but sometimes it would take a few days. She was the boss, and they both knew it. They both had bad habits that we could never break. She chewed on any kind of cord--window blind cords, elastic cords around file folders, etc. She would actually eat them if not caught early enough--and barf it up later. He is a paper chewer, and I have to be very diligent about important papers on my desk. Neither one ever outgrew chewing on a roll of toilet paper, forcing us to keep the bathroom doors shut at all times. Their differing health conditions made it difficult to raise them together, but we did everything that was necessary to keep them both as healthy and happy (read: "spoiled") as possible. We are really missing our baby girl.
They are often thought of as one of the most hypoallergenic cats available because of their type of coat. They are a good breed for people with allergies. However they are not 100% hypoallergenic.
I have one precious little girl, Marie. She and I are best friends. Two is recommended because they are very social, luckily I’m home most of the time so she doesn’t feel lonely or anything. If you have the tendency of being away from home often, then yes, you need to get at least 2 :)
It's my birthday. Can I get a Cat Shout Out 😹😹

I didn't know about the lack or short whiskers in this breed. 🙂
😻😻😻
Our Devon's have also short whiskers ❤️
Are they good for people with allergies?
They are often thought of as one of the most hypoallergenic cats available because of their type of coat. They are a good breed for people with allergies. However they are not 100% hypoallergenic.
@@FurryFelineFacts thank you

Thanks bro. 😻😻😻
Can you own just one as a companion to yourself or are two best? Can only afford one right now.
