Must have been so hard for the Liverpool players and management to pick themselves up after the Hillsborough tragedy. I remember watching this live on TV as a 12 year old. This was a rare midweek live match of the day. Credit to both teams, the sportsmanship from the players was exceptional and was a brilliant game, surprised it ended up 0-0. Southall was a superb goal keeper and that double save from Beardsley and Aldridge, how quickly he got up to make the 2nd save, I must have been screaming goal!
I thought Everton were unlucky not to win this match. However Liverpool also had their fair share of the game so a draw maybe a fair result.
