your videos are just about the only ones I can actually absorb and learn stuff from although I still have to rewatch a ton because i'm dumb. but slow increments are making my playtime much more fun already :)
@@dontaddmehobo thank you for your kind words! You're not dumb, many of us, including myself, have to watch a video about a system or weapon several times before we eventually understand it and memorize how it's done.
All your vids are excellent. Thx for sharing! Due to unknown reason I do NOT get any structures shown in GM mode (neither in NORM, EXP, DBS1 or DBS2) (e.g. in training 😅GP BOMBS). It’s only grey without any sharp structure. Settings are identically to your vid. I am getting more and more frustrated as I’ve tried so many things 😕Any idea/hint what I am doing wrong or needs to be changed?
@@desmoflex thank you! The resolution of the ground mapping isn't great, but you should at least be able to make out something. Not sure what's going wrong? Can you maybe try to record it so I can have a look?
Thank you so much for your quick reply! Very much appreciated!! I will try to make a recording or at least a screenshot once I selected STP6 in training mission GPBombs. I understood that after selecting STP6 FCR in GM mode should be slaved to that steerpoint. Have a great weekend! Btw I am in VR not sure if this might change anything.

Nice tutorial as always! Imho the ground radar of the DCS Viper or DCS as a whole is much better from an visual standpoint, i hope BMS will do a better representation some day. As you can clearly see in your video, the airstrips are not recognizeable.
It's true, with the current terrain it's not easy to make out terrain features and other important things. I'm hoping that when the new terrain is released this will improve.
Really enjoying the series, would it be possible to do a cold start, I know there are many but finding your whole approach really “user” friendly. Do you use TrackIR noticed you use static views, or is that only for the series?
@@patmillin thank you! I am planning on doing a ramp start, I think I'll have it out relatively soon. When I'm flying I do it on VR. I do have TrackIR but since I got VR I don't use it. The static views are just for the series.
@@TheSchnensch to cover a wider area and find targets at longer ranges. As good as the TGP is, its field of view is limited and it can only visually acquire things up to a certain range. Don't think about it as "use only the A-G radar or the TGP" but use both, one to complement the other.
@outfield1988 this is Falcon BMS. You need to get Falcon 4.0 either on Steam or GOG, it should be quite cheap. Then go to the Falcon BMS page and download the mod: www.falcon-bms.com/
In every tutorial you put some false info. Do some more research. Wider azimuth does not mean less details in terrain map, but longer refresh time, and longer waiting for the map
@@dariuszmatt76 in every tutorial? Ouch... I was always under the impression that a wider search area meant less detail, but I guess I may have misunderstood, thank you for the correction!

Whats the point of using the air to ground radar instead of a tgp? What are the reason to use it instead of a TGP?
