You’re really welcome. These videos are a great inspiration for an artist without getting bogged down in the nitty gritty of what’s going on behind the scenes. There are a ton of other videos for that stuff. I’m someone who has already studied the ‘engine’ so to speak to a reasonable degree that I need videos such as this to learn how to drive F1. 😄
Blender is literaly God's send software. I wish I was listening to my mate few years ago and start to master this piece of art. Even if You are a photographer You can experiment with lighting in this FREE software before You start shooting in real place. Arch vizs, animations, product creation... Why I WAS SO DUMB.
@@TheDucky3D A little tip. You should use damped track with the -z option and the subject selected for the lights in the constraints tab. This allows you to move the lights around while keeping them pinned the subject properly. Play around with it and see what you think.
another short yet very informative tutorial , kudos thank you so much ! keep it up . one noob question tho . howd you make the plane not being seen at the render ?
I'd go for two side area lamps with cyen and pink color. It gives cmy character more diva like look. BTE Right now I'm working on add on for lighting setup, but I have to stop working on it for now as my exams are approaching. But I'm hoping at the end of May I can complete my project.
Ducky, amazing channel amazing videos, but you should add playlists to the main page of your channel, example: have a row of uploads, a row of popular uploads, etc.
@Ducky 3D What is your background as 3d motion designer (and potentially as an artist)? How long have you been learning 3d before you started creating tuts?
Very good tutorial , your renderings are excellent ,is it possible to tell us something about the rendering settings , I always get so much noise. Thank you and keep up with the good work.!
I bet you figured it out since 2 years ago but i'll leave my answer here for other people having the problem. There are 2 solutions. One, is increasing the amount of rendering samples (for Blender 3.0 or higher : Render properties → Sampling → Render → increase Max Samples). The render will take longer and have less noise, but it needs a really high samples amount to get rid of noise. The other, more common solution, is denoising. There are multiple ways to denoise, and I mainnly use 2 : the "default" denoiser (still Blender 3.0 or higher : Render Properties → Sampling → Render → check "Denoise" and choose your settings) or the compositor node (still Blender 3.0 or higher : View Layer Properties → Passes → Data → check "Denoising Data", then open a compositor panel → check "Use Nodes" → Shift+A → Filter → Denoise → Link everything together, choose your settings...) Those arrow explanations are a bit messy but heh you'll figure it out guys. Have a nice day :)
As-salāmu‘alaikum, I thank you for the knowledge. May I imitate and modify this method for commercial purposes?? without including your name / youtube name??
So stock lights now work in Cycles?. I remember that using point lights would create a lot of fireflies and noise. So for many years I had to use objects with emitting materials to light my scenes. Is this not the case anymore?.
It is hard, really hard to find model on two page catalogue. I will reascue You, I will do this for free, its name is Y BOT. Pleaseeeeeeeee, pleaseeeeeeeee, download it, try it and work with it. You welcome.
Create a regular horizontal plane, extrude one edge upwards. You'll have an L. Bevel the L corner to your liking, either through subdivisions or a bevel modifier.

This might not be impressive to professionals and other experts, but for me as a programmer mostly, this is freaking amazing. Thank you man
