If Earth is going to invade Xandar, computer viruses and Trojan horse systems might be useful. And the Nova Corp being a militia than an armed force make them not idea to fight a standing army or air force.
So the Xandarians and the Kree are really just two warring linked deadmind super computers punting around people who don't know better. This seems like a Douglas Adam's level snarky story.

I thought Thanos destroyed Xandar when he stole the Infinity Stone they were protecting (the Power Stone)? It's a shame the Avengers didn't go there to keep Thanos from getting that one but they probably didn't even know about that cause only the Gaurdians would have known that...wait...Rocket was there and Nebula so they should have spoken up.

They are Green Lanterns without the plot armor. Consider that every Nova that ISN'T Richard Rider is effectively cannon fodder. Or how many times the Xandarians have been nearly wiped out. The MCU version of Xandarians don't fare any better either...

Thank you for focusing on the comics and not the Mall Cops in flying Fiats GoG Vol.1 gave us. I hope the Russo's get to do the Retcon in phase 4, they're pretty awesome at it so far. Have you heard of the planet Spartax and The Badoon they were essential to Star-Lord's backstory in the comics before they decided to make him Peter Pan and them "Paper Soldiers" respectively?

Hmm, I was thinking the World-MInd sounds more like a hive-mind of sorts, .. aka of the Borg, but more powerful and independent of its members, though it's very reminiscent of the Kree version of the living supercomputer, the Supreme Intelligence hive-mind.
My guess for why the world mind can possess ego is because it was formed form dead brains and thus as more brains are added and brains could potentially contain psychic energy with more more brains more psychic energy and this energy would increase as more brains are added meaning over time the world mind gained quite a formidable amount of psychic energy
I wonder if after all those catastrophes and holocausts and mass exterminations any Xandarians got resurrected, woke up and thought to themselves, "huh, maybe it's us..." Lol
